Chapter Five Hundred and Forty Two: The Gathered Leader [Tal]

You can see someone on the wall of Storm Pass very far away.

There are many people.

Amy told Tar that most of the leaders I had met before were here now.

"Their formation looks a little wrong." Taal frowned, "They... probably didn't come to welcome us."

An ominous premonition surged in my heart; Tar ordered the team to slow down and prepare for battle;

The elevator was laid down on the other side of the city wall early; but, if they really welcomed the group back, why were there so many soldiers on the wall? And they stood straight, in combat positions or near them—

Only in battle will the soldiers be so ready.

What are these people planning to do?

There was still some distance from Storm Pass, so Taal ordered everyone to stop - not to get too close, as it would be enough to be able to hear the shouts.

"Hey, the leaders on the city wall, why is the pass so lively?" Taal shouted loudly to the people-but no one responded to his words at the first time; the leaders whispered for a while before letting a soldier speak:

"Chief Tar! We can't hear what you shouted! Please get closer!" the soldier shouted loudly.

...Only a fool would believe you. Tar looked at the Orcas, and it was time for him to appear;

"I will order you as the leader of the Storm Pass! All the leaders present will explain the situation to me!" The orca frowned and his face turned pale: "What kind of formation is this? Can you rebel??"

"It's you who rebel!" A leader in the leadership shouted loudly, "From today, the leader of Storm Pass is me, the halibut!"

What are these people doing?

Taal quickly thought of the only possibility-

"You have been deprived of your post by Chief Ruger! Now, the only way for you to have the Taal traitor is to put down your weapons and surrender! We can guarantee that you will have a way to survive!"

These people took advantage of the orcas that had left the pass and launched a mutiny and replaced the orcas!

It is unknown whether Chief Ruger agrees to this matter, but... Judging from the situation, today we will not be able to return to Storm Pass.

Unexpectedly, these guys could do this to compete for power! Taal gritted his teeth and thought about countermeasures-

"You have nothing to say, why dare you to say that we are treason?" Tarr retorted loudly, "When you carry out such a dirty slander, how can you forgive you after you find out!"

"Ha, do you think we have no evidence?" The halibut shouted smugly, "You are having dinner with the barbarians at the foot of the mountain! We can see clearly at the closing! The soldiers of the entire Storm Pass know the fact that you collude with each other!"

"That's what we are discussing peace! I have important information to tell you!" Tarr knew that even if he said this, it would not be of much use, but he still wanted to struggle for a while - at least, Storm must be kept!

Otherwise, the entire Green Sea Plain will be over!

"Ha, I don't know your conspiracy yet?" The flounder stepped on one foot directly on the low wall, stretched out an arm, and pointed his index finger directly at Tar, as if he was judging a sinner: "You see that the war is not good, and you are ready to offer a pass and gain a noble position on the barbarian side! You still want to enter the pass now? I think you just want to take the opportunity to approach us, and then make a bad plan! Fight me!"

The soldiers who had already been in place quickly lifted the wooden rocks prepared on the ground and threw them towards the gate; at the same time, they also began to pull up the elevators prepared on the ground before - Taal knew that those were to attract themselves to approach the gate and then launch an attack!

Fortunately, I was not deceived! Otherwise, these three thousand people would have nowhere to hide under the relatively empty gate, and would definitely suffer heavy losses!

"Everyone, retreat to the woods!" Tarr turned around in a hurry to command--there was no need to talk!

The other party is not interested in the information they have obtained at all; even if they say it, they will think it is fabricated!

Fortunately, Tal's followers were well-trained; they did not stand there in a daze, turned around and ran towards the woods.

But there was a man in a daze.

"Orcas! What are you doing?" Taal looked at the orcas standing there as he was stunned and his anxiety increased: "Why don't you leave quickly?"

Accompanied by the huge series of sounds of rolling wood and rock colliding with the body, heavy objects that could easily crush people came towards the foot of the mountain;

Taal pulled the orca a few more times, but there was no response - there was no way, so he could only let Amy pull his back collar and drag it away.

The soldiers hurriedly retreated into the forest, which was much safer here; fortunately Tal was too careful and did not approach the pass, otherwise... at least half of the people would have suffered casualties under the pass.

"Why, why is this happening..." The orcas took a long time to recover, "They actually did this to seize the position of the big leader..."

Taal can understand the mood of the orca; it is normal for him to be stunned for a long time when suffering such a big change.

These leaders are indeed able to seize opportunities.

It is incomprehensible to most soldiers for contact with barbarians; it is already suspicious that Tar brought people out of seclusion, and the banquet became ironclad evidence that the leaders provoked trouble.

What if he disagrees with the orcas? I guess those mutant monsters can still be delayed for a while, but if the leaders really want to subvert his position, they will probably kill him directly and then put a lot of charges on him.

The Great Chief Ruger is even easier to explain; as long as the orca cannot speak, he will be fine no matter how he says; as for himself... those who are good at guessing the thoughts of the Great Chief, they must know how good it is for Ruger to leave the Green Sea Plain.

He underestimated the desire for power and the degree of short-sightedness of these leaders. Tar sighed. He felt a little confused when this happened - he took a deep breath, tried to adjust his emotions, sort out the current situation, and make the right decision.

First of all, there is no need to think about going back for the time being; those leaders have brainwashed the soldiers - at least some of the soldiers. Now Tar and the Orcas are traitors of the Corey tribe, and they are in the same camp as the barbarians;

Whether Ruger knows it or not, or agrees it, Storm Pass is dangerous before proving his identity.

...Wait, can you prove your identity?

Both the leader and Ruger should be quite willing to completely detain this hat, and even use it as a coffin board to bury the "blessed man of the black dragon";

No matter what you say or do, you will probably only be resisted.

Think about it again, the situation shouldn't be that bad...

"Master..." Amy's reminder interrupted Taal's thoughts;

Only then did he notice that the sound of rolling wood and falling rocks stopped.
