Chapter 5 Eating the same kind

The air was filled with a suffocating stench, and the wind was smelly. I put on my mask and walked gently towards the only building that I had not inspected - the office building.&t;p>

When I approached, I saw that the door handle was inserted by various tools, including mops, steel pipes and a fire axe. It seemed that there must be zombies in the building. I was prepared in my heart. Instead of opening the door rashly, I took a few steps back and shouted upstairs: "Is anyone? Is anyone there? If it is not convenient to come out, make some noise and let me know you are!"&t;p>

I shouted like this because if someone was trapped in a room and the corridor was occupied by zombies, it would be better for me to go in and save people than to take the risk.&t;p>

I shouted around the three-story building for half an hour. When I couldn't shout, I knocked on the stainless steel washbasin I picked up in the processing workshop with a crowbar.&t;p>

Unfortunately, even the zombies didn't scream at me. This was so abnormal. The state of the door showed that there were zombies in the building. I just saw it in all directions. Every window in the office building was intact, which means that this was a closed space. Where did the zombies trapped inside go? They starved to death?&t;p>

I am not a person with a strong curiosity. I have been living a steady life for twenty years, but my sudden disappearance made me feel a sense of crisis. In theory, weapons that can eliminate them can eliminate me. If they can starve to death, it means I will do the same. There have never been any starved zombies in the movie, so I have to go in and see what it is.&t;p>

I took off the tool stuck on the door handle, and the door panel that was open suddenly arched outward. My heart immediately jumped to my throat and took four or five steps back.&t;p>

A twisted and rotten face rushed towards me. I waved my crowbar and smashed it. My bad face was knocked out, with half of my shoulders. I thought it was wrong, and soon realized that this person had died long ago. I had never seen a zombie left with only one head that could move.&t;p>

Sure enough, the rotten head fell to the ground and stopped moving. I looked at the door again, and a dry skeleton also threw down. I still felt something was wrong. This skeleton was so clean that it was so clean that the corpse naturally rotted so evenly. There should be some rotten meat on the bones, and this bone was clean... It seemed... it seemed to have been carefully gnawed!&t;p>

I immediately took two steps back and listed all the possibilities I could think of. First, zombies never chewed the food so clean. Although I had never gnawed it, I still understand the order of eating. Zombies are more like animals. The order of eating is the most delicious blood, followed by the internal organs, and the limbs and brain.&t;p>

Then, the person who ate this person is probably another living person. It is impossible for a living person to eat zombies. Then at least it can be confirmed that the person who is being eaten is an ordinary person.&t;p>

People who eat people are usually only born in extreme environments. If someone is trapped in the building, they will indeed be born in a tragedy of people eating up when food is exhausted.&t;p>

I walked into the door carefully. Even if there were ogres in the building, I had to come in, because only living people could tell me the whereabouts of my parents.&t;p>

It was dark at this time, and the beam of the flashlight swept across the dark hall. The scene in front of me was comparable to that of European and American horror films. The floor of the hall was full of skeletons, and the bones were particularly clean. It is conceivable that this was someone's restaurant, but I would rather use the nest of a beast to describe the space in front of me.&t;p>

"Is anyone?" I shouted at the stairs facing the gate.&t;p>

The building was silent, and there was no strange sound in the horror movie. I held the crowbar tightly and lifted my twelve-minute spirit up the stairs. After searching the first and second floors, I was even more sure that the hall on the first floor was someone's restaurant. Because I didn't find even a bone in these two floors, there were traces of survivors' lives everywhere, and the items left in the room or corridor remained casual and messy in a panic state. I even saw several packs of intact instant noodles inside. This made me feel like I fell into an ice cellar, which was equivalent to overturning my previous guess.&t;p>

If it is caused by food exhaustion, then it is impossible for a mouthful of food to appear in the whole building. While I was making instant noodles, I also found three boxes of canned lunch meat in a backpack.&t;p>

I turned my head stiffly, knowing that I had made a huge mistake. I thought this place was a human being, so I felt that I was not afraid of encountering an ogre. I would tell him that I was a zombie, and if I ate me, he would become a zombie, but the food in front of me told me that this guy who loves to eat meat does not eat human food!&t;p>

Zombies eat zombies, and this idea suddenly flashed out in my mind. It was really incredible. No matter how many living people were in the building at that time, they must have turned into zombies in the end. In a closed environment, they began to kill each other, and my heart almost jumped out of my heart. No one said that zombies would not eat the same kind when they were hungry. Zombies that did not eat the same kind only appeared in the movie!&t;p>
