The Didu B1 wafer fab is being expanded, and the second and third phases of the project are being advanced simultaneously. They are both small factories with a monthly output of 25,000 wafers and are progressing smoothly.

It is expected to be delivered in early April, plus equipment introduction, equipment debugging, trial production...

Official mass production will take place in the second half of the year at the earliest.

With a monthly production capacity of 50,000 wafers, it can produce 30 million chips per month, but Wang Yi has no plans to produce 40 nanometers.

If Mr. Hu's side goes well, these 30 million chip production lines will be directly put online with the 28nm process to produce Kunpeng 901 and Kunpeng 902 SOCs.

If Mr. Hu's side is not progressing smoothly and the 28nm process cannot be completed so quickly, the 40nm process will be launched first.

As for the B2 wafer fab in Didu and the M2 wafer fab in Modu, both have a monthly production capacity of 100,000 pieces, which is four times that of the current B1 wafer fab. Once fully operational, each will produce 60 million chips per month.

However, the scale of the wafer fab is large and the progress is slow. It would be good to be partially put into production by the end of the year.

It will be fully put into production by the middle of next year.

In the second half of the year, the total monthly production capacity of all Xingyi Semiconductor's wafer fabs will reach 100,000 pieces, with a monthly production of approximately 60 million chips.

By then, Xingyi Fab will be able to take all orders without TSMC OEM.

By the middle of next year, monthly production will reach 300,000 wafers, approximately 180 million chips!

What concept?

It can almost catch up with SMIC’s highlight moment ten years later.

Based on 8-inch wafers, SMIC has a monthly output of almost 800,000 wafers.

In the second half of next year, Xingyi Semiconductor will produce 300,000 12-inch wafers per month.

However, the number of chips that can be cut out of a 12-inch wafer is about 2.4 times that of an 8-inch wafer.

In addition, the yield rate of 12-inch wafers is higher, which may actually be more than 2.5 times.

Therefore, the number of chips cut from 300,000 12-inch wafers is approximately equivalent to 750,000 8-inch wafers, almost catching up with SMIC ten years later.

By then, it won’t be used, it won’t be used at all!

In order to have such abundant production capacity next year, Xingyi Technology has to sell Kunpeng chips and undertake third-party chip foundry, otherwise a large amount of wafer production capacity will be vacant.

Today, Kunpeng 700, Kunpeng 702, and Wing Loong 3000 are all for sale, which is the best place to start.
