Chapter 4 - POW Camp

…………

In the procession to Dalaran, maids and horse guards followed Jaina, but the servants deliberately walked behind to keep their distance from the young noble.

"Is the hot water ready? Miss Gianna is waiting!"

"It'll be ready soon."

"Where are the towels? There is also a fur cloak. It must be clean, and we also need to prepare..."

"You prepared so many things, but didn't bring some good food?"

The two servants who were talking were interrupted by a slightly sarcastic voice. They turned their heads and saw Nathanos' eyes and couldn't help but be afraid. The other servant snorted coldly and handed them two hares from hunting.

“Cook it and send it to them.”…

The dinner was very rustic, and Alsace was very happy, almost thinking that he only had bread to satisfy his hunger. But the strange thing was that he did not see Nathanos, and he wanted to thank him for the food he brought back.

Soon after dark, they fell asleep. When they were sure that everyone was asleep, Jaina opened her eyes silently, with the moonlight flashing in her eyes. She sat up and barely took off her clothes when she fell asleep.

Clothes, so she put on her shoes, put on her cloak, combed her golden hair with her fingers, and sneaked out.

This seemed tense and exciting, and it would definitely cause panic if someone discovered that she was missing. She came to the top of a hill, and the moonlight was very bright tonight, so she did not slip.

Jaina took a breath of air. There were other people on the top of the hill. Nathanos was sitting on a stone. It was obvious that he also noticed Jaina and was surprised as to why she came here.

"It seems to be bedtime now." Nathanos reminded and stood up. He was much taller than Jaina, but there was no trace of fear in the girl's eyes, only some confusion and embarrassment.

"But I can choose not to sleep, can't I?" Jaina replied after being stunned for a few seconds.

"Yes, but you sneaked out so late at night behind everyone's back. Please give me an explanation. Otherwise, out of concern for your safety, I will take you back to where you sleep."

"No!" Jaina said quickly, and then suddenly glanced behind Nathanos. That seemed to be where she wanted to go.

"Not far behind me is the orc prison camp. What do you want to do?"

"I've never seen what an orc looks like." Jaina explained, "I want to take a look. Can you take me there?"

Nathanos saw her eyes and suddenly thought of Alleria for some reason. He hadn't seen her for a while.

"Come with me!"

Jaina opened her eyes wide. This very serious-looking person agreed to her request. She had even frowned in disappointment. Under the moonlight, Nathanos's expression was difficult to decipher, but from this moment on Jaina

I started to think: Alsace’s friends don’t seem so boring after all.

They walked together and walked down the mountain quickly.

"I heard Arthas say that the orcs were a group of monsters. They killed many people. Many people didn't like or understand that King Terenas just locked them up and raised the kingdom's tax rate to feed them. This is true.

Of?"

Nathanos remained silent, but Jaina kept asking questions.

"You'll know after you go and see it."

Jaina sighed: "Okay, let's hurry up."

When she arrived at the prisoner of war camp, Jaina was surprised by the loose patrols here.

"Why are there so few guards here, and some of them are dozing off?"

"That's why Orgrim was able to escape from Lordaeron." Nathanos replied quietly. He also felt that the situation here was very bad. It seemed that the guards thought that the orcs would not escape after losing their spirit.

, so don’t bother to keep a close eye on it.

"How do we get close?" Jaina couldn't restrain her inner excitement and gave Nathanos a heartwarming smile.

"Wear your hood and cover your head." Nathanos said briefly. Jaina had blond hair and was easily spotted by the condescending sentries. She obeyed Nathanos's order. Fortunately, she and Nathanos

Thanos wears a black cape.

"Ready?"

Jaina nodded.

"Let's go."

They ran the last section of the road silently and quickly, and then Nathanos stopped Jaina and pulled her around the corner. After the patrolling sentry left, the two of them steadily arrived at the edge of the prisoner of war camp.

The fence was almost made of processed logs, with spikes all over the top. There were many gaps between the logs, enough for them to observe what was going on inside.

"Look, hurry up." Nathanos whispered, they couldn't stay too long.

Jaina curiously moved her eyes to the gap. At first she could not see anything. However, she gradually distinguished several huge shadows. Are those orcs? Jaina slowly opened her mouth. Some of them were lying on the ground.

They were motionless; some were sitting quietly on the ground looking at the moon. Not far away there was an adult woman holding something small on her chest. Jaina realized that it was a baby.

"They look so...sad."

"Huh?" Nathanos was a little surprised when he heard her words. He didn't look at the situation inside, but just helped Jaina stand guard.

"They are not dangerous at all. I feel that they have no intention of regaining their freedom, and I did not expect that they also have children."

Nathanos was very surprised by her words. There was no trace of hatred in her eyes, but a trace of pity.

"Don't you think they are hateful?" Nathanos asked curiously. He did not mention the fact that Jaina's brother Drake died in a naval battle with the tribe.

Jaina turned her head to look at Nathanos, her expression lost. Under the moonlight, her beautiful face was like a delicate silver plate.

"They don't look like they would harm anyone, I mean, not now. Do they really deserve to be locked up here? Why not let them go free? It would also reduce the burden on humanity."

"You don't hate them?"

"I..." Jaina suddenly stopped talking. Of course she had reasons to hate the orcs. Drake's death was a huge blow to the entire Proudmoore family.

Nathanos sighed in the darkness and said no more. Jaina shook her head, she had seen enough, and the patrolling guards were coming back. "Let's go back."

The two left the wooden wall and ran quickly towards the hill. Nathanos glanced back again and saw the guard on the watchtower turning around. He rushed towards Jaina, hugged her waist, and pushed her down

On the ground, he also fell heavily beside the girl. "Don't move! The guards are looking towards us!"

Jaina's fall must have been painful, but she immediately lay motionless on the ground. Nathanos turned back and looked at the guard, seeing deep boredom and exhaustion in the man's body posture. Waiting for him

After turning his attention elsewhere, Nathanos helped Jaina up.

"Does it hurt?"

"I told you I'm not a weak little girl." Jaina said, smiling at Nathanos.

Not long after, Jaina had returned to each tent. She looked up at the stars and felt satisfied.

Near noon the next day, the group arrived at Dalaran. Nathanos and Arthas had never been to this place, but they had heard various legends about this magical place. In Lordan

Lun, mages are an extremely mysterious group. They possess powerful power, but unless people need them to cast spells, they always stay away from the crowd and stay on their own.

Khadgar!

Nathanos thought of that mage, and a long time had passed since the Dark Portal. Every time he and Alleria communicated with each other, they couldn't avoid the topic of the Draenor Expedition.

Dalaran is very beautiful, even more dazzling than the capital of Lordaeron. The streetscape of this city, which is completely shrouded in a magical atmosphere, is incredibly bright. Several high towers reach into the sky. The spiers are surrounded by golden rims.

There are also glittering stones circling and dancing. The base of the tower is made of pure white rocks. Various exotic flowers and plants on the street exude strong natural fragrance, making people almost dizzy. Although Nathanos is not

Mage, but still feel the strong pulse of magic in the air here.

More importantly, as soon as they entered the city, Prince Arthas of Lordaeron suddenly felt how stupid he and Nathanos were. They spent last night in the wild, and they were all dirty and didn't even take a shower.

There is no time.

Jaina turned to Nathanos, her blue eyes widened, her mouth slightly opened, looking at everything around her with awe and excitement, her curved lips showing a sweet smile.

"Can I learn magic here?"

"Of course." Nathanos replied without saying much. The girl was already fascinated by everything here. But Arthas was not so excited. He was surprised why Jaina didn't ask him this question, and

I was going to ask Nathanos. Could it be that his words were more convincing than his own? The prince felt a little unconvinced.

"I have been told that outsiders are generally not welcome here." Jaina said, "I think it is a mistake to do this in Dalaran. I would like to see you again."

Nathanos and Arthas looked at each other.

"It's okay, Jaina. I believe we will meet again soon." Arthas responded with the same smile. Jaina nodded and looked at Nathanos again.

"If Alsace comes here, I will come too."

The girl laughed. She was very grateful to Nathanos for taking her to see the orcs. She believed that when they meet again, it will be a more wonderful day.

After escorting Jaina, they did not stop and continued on their way to Dunhall Castle.

On the way, Nathanos, who had always been quiet, suddenly asked a question.

"Alsace?"

"What?"

"What do you think of orcs?"

The prince frowned. "How? Those monsters killed many people, and they destroyed Stormwind City. By the Holy Light, my father was merciful enough by locking them up!"

Nathanos didn't go against him, in fact most people thought so.

"But they also have feelings and their own wisdom. Some of them... also have children of their own."

"Of course they have children, even rats have children." Arthas said with disgust. He was only two years older than Jaina, but the two people had completely opposite views. This also gave Nathanos a problem:
