CHAPTER VII - DIFFERENTIAL TREATMENT

…………

These newcomers carried no banners, and the only identification of their identity was the relief pattern on their armor. Nathanos recognized them, he was familiar with them, but he did not like them.

Finally, the seventh knight slowly emerged from the woods. This knight wore more traditional armor. He wore a helmet with less coverage. The emblem of Lordaeron was not only marked on his shield and breastplate.

There is also a buckle decorated with a silver lion's head on the helmet, which fastens the belt to a giant hammer with a sharp horn.

"An elf." The knight ignored Nathanos at the front, but rode up to Vereesa and whispered. "Your strong arms must be very popular." This knight seemed to be a leader.

The man then looked at Ronin, and finally commented with candor and contempt, "And these damn souls. Put your hands where we can see them so we don't chop them off."

Ronin was about to get angry. Nathanos suddenly reached out to stop him. The mage found that the human standing in front of him was staring coldly at the knight. He had a feeling that if Nathanos fought with the other person, then this man would be rude.

The paladin will definitely regret it.

"Who are you?" The knight felt threatened, but Nathanos did not look like a mage, nor did he look like a person who could fight compared to Vereesa, who was in full military uniform.

Nathanos did not answer him, but the warning in his eyes did not diminish at all.

The paladin leader swallowed and chose to avoid Nathanos' gaze.

"We came here after seeing the red dragon. I think we should place you properly, beautiful elf lady, in the name of the Holy Light."

The paladins took them to a camp, and Nathanos was impressed by this place. In this small camp surrounded by tall stone walls, there were no unnecessary ornate decorations, and both knights, infantry and common people lived frugally.

The flags of the League of Lordaeron fluttered in the wind, and the knights of the Silver Hand were its loyal supporters. If he hadn't seen so many ordinary people, Luo Ning would have thought that this place was a pure place.

Military fortress, sacred commandments control everything.

The paladins were very attentive to Vereesa, and some young knights went out of their way to show off their charm when Vereesa spoke to them. But for Ronin and Nathanos, they simply ignored him when they didn't need to.

"How long do we have until Harsk Port, Maris?" Ronin sat alone in the distance, looking at Vereesa and the paladins around her in the distance with boredom, and asked unconvincedly.

"It wasn't far just now, but now..." Nathanos frowned. He stayed beside Ronin, but more of his attention was focused on Vereesa.

"What's going on now?" The red-haired mage obviously had a bad premonition.

"I'm afraid it will be a little later now. I remember this place, but the location is farther than our original road."

"What!" Luo Ning yelled angrily. The Paladins did not notice his dissatisfaction. "I don't have so much time to waste on these hateful guys." He said and looked around again.

He sat helplessly on the ground again. He was not the prisoner of the knights, but Ronin still felt that he was out of place with them. The reluctant politeness of the knights towards Ronin was only due to the requirements of King Terenas to whom they were loyal.

That's all, but Luo Ning understood that he was regarded as an alien.

"We saw both dragons and griffons," Duncan Centulus, the leader of this group of knights, said suddenly. "Our duty and the honor of being paladins requires us to go immediately to provide assistance."

"Humph!" Nathanos sneered. The whole battle took place in the air. Obviously, these knights had no effect at all, but this neither dampened their sacred enthusiasm nor gave them some common sense. Ronin couldn't help but

I feel funny in my heart.

"I heard that rangers always take accusations and missions to heart, but now it seems that is not the case at all." Ronin couldn't help but feel angry when he saw Vereesa chatting heatedly with those paladins, wondering when she could end it.

These boring conversations then set off on the road.

Unfortunately, Duncan Centulus and the others are also set to go to the Huskers.

"If we can't deliver you safely to the port, it will be our dereliction of duty. I understand that you have a mission, beautiful lady, but there must be some great holy light that guides you to come to us. We are very grateful to Husk.

The road is well known, so a small team led by myself will accompany you on your journey tomorrow."

These words seemed to please the ranger, but did not give Luo Ning any encouragement.

"These guys!"

Everyone in the camp looked at him as if they were seeing goblins or orcs.

"You are so helpful," Luo Ning suddenly interjected, "However, Vereesa is an outstanding ranger, and we can make it to the port in time."

Centulus's nose twitched as if he smelled some unpleasant smell. The Paladin kept his smile and continued to say to Vereesa: "Let me personally take you to your resting place." Then he glanced at him.

"Find a place to place the mage and his entourage."

"Come this way" shouted a stout knight. It looked like he was about to grab Ronin's arm immediately, not even caring about breaking it. But Nathanos stood in front of him and blocked him from getting closer to Ronin.

This knight obviously showed disdain for humans who were thinner than him. He was reaching out to push Nathanos away. But suddenly, a scream burst out of his mouth, and everyone focused their attention here.

"Max!"

"Let him go!"

Centulus pulled out the mace behind him, and other paladins gathered around him, asking Nathanos to let go. The man named Max was bending over at this time, with a painful expression on his face. His right hand was struck by Nathanos.

North held on tightly, and as long as the opponent twisted it, there would be a sound of broken bones immediately.

"Let him go," Centulus shouted again. Nathanos stared at him.

"What qualifications do you have to order me? You are not just a paladin, your commandments can only bind yourself!" After saying this, Nathanos kicked Max away, walked slowly towards Centulus, and faced the Holy Knight.

The knight's angry expression showed no fear at all.

"I'm warning you." He said, and then glanced at Vereesa who was at a loss. "Listen to me. If you and your people continue to embarrass this mage, I guarantee that you will pay the price. Even

Even the Holy Light can't save you!" After Nathanos said, he stretched out a hand to grab him, and holding something in his right hand, he carefully placed it in Centulus's hand, making sure no one saw what it was, and then

Nathanos added: "Weigh it carefully for yourself!"

Vereesa looked at Nathanos and turned around and nodded to Ronin. The two humans walked towards the residence where they were arranged. The female elf cursed Maris in her heart that she was crazy. She finally persuaded Centulus.

Helped them reach Hask Port, but Nathanos' words made the Paladin Lord lose face now.

"This is it!" Nathanos and Ronin came to where they were resting.

"I originally thought that I would be placed in the most humid and filthy hut, but this place is as simple as the rooms where those dull paladins live." Luo Ning looked around after entering the house. The room was dry and clean.

It is surrounded by stone walls and only has a small wooden door on one side, which is more comfortable than expected. Two neat wooden beds and a small table are all the furnishings. There are no windows in the house, and the only light source is a useful oil lamp.

"I can only feel aggrieved first." Nathanos checked the door to make sure there was no door lock or anything like that.

"It doesn't matter, it's very nice here, better than many places I've lived before." The Master smiled, lying leisurely on the hard wooden bed, letting out a comfortable sigh.

"Seriously, I thank you, Maris. If there is one person here who doesn't regard me as an alien, it must be you." Luo Ning closed his eyes and said.

The human in his mouth glanced at him and replied: "Race cannot determine everything. What's more, you are a human being, but you only use different powers."

"Agree." Luo Ning felt a little relieved.

To the paladins, mages are cursed souls. Not only Ronin, but even Khadgar had encountered more or less cynicism. If it weren't for Uther, Nathanos

I have long concluded in my heart that these guys from the Silver Hand are always so falsely holy and compassionate.

It wasn't until dinner time that Ronin and Nathanos were taken to the dining place. The mage was surprised to find that the attitude of the paladins towards him seemed to have changed for the better. Although he was still far away, at least he was not alone.

Then he stared at him with disgust. He was thinking that all this was due to Nathanos. It must be the thing he gave Centurus just now that made the paladin restrain himself. This aroused Ronin.

Curious about what exactly Nathanos had just given him.

The two of them were arranged on the other side of the long table, the farthest away from Vereesa and Centulus. At the same time, there were some differences in the food between the two sides. There was only some bread and cheese in front of Ronin, while Vereesa's

There are exquisite snacks and mead on the side.

When Nathanos walked over, he suddenly laughed and taunted loudly: "Did you see it, Ronin? There is wine in a corner of this table. Article 6 of Chapter 5 of "The Commandments of the Holy Light" strictly states that the Holy Light

Knights must not drink alcohol during extraordinary times. It seems that Lord Centulus believes that there will be no more abnormal situations here, and our next trip will be safe."

Ronin laughed at the same time as him. Such reverse "praise" was very interesting. No one would ignore the fact that the red dragon appeared here today. Some paladins at the table who were about to drink heard Nathanos's words.

The queen couldn't help but put down the wooden wine glass in her hand. Vereesa's face froze, but she still tried her best to keep smiling and talking to Centulus. Centulus also acted completely indifferent, at least he was suppressing his anger.

"Then we should celebrate." Luo Ning smiled, but the food in front of him was indeed a bit shabby. Although the mage didn't mind, Nathanos still frowned. He decided to teach these saints a lesson for Uther.

Knight, let them know how to respect others.

"You eat these things first, I'll leave for a while."

"Where are you going?"

"wait me back."

Nathanos left these words, and no one tried to stop him. At most, a few people silently cursed behind him.

But Vereesa has always controlled the commander's attention, whether she wants it or not.

After Nathanos left, no one said a word to Ronin. If Centulus hadn't happened to talk about the red dragon, Ronin would have gotten up and left.

"In recent weeks, the red dragons have appeared more and more frequently and become more brutal." Centulus told them. "The orcs understand that their time is running out, and they still want to fight hard before they are destroyed." He took a sip.

Wine, he continued, "Three days ago, Qiaolong Town was plundered by the flames of two dragons, and most of the residents died tragically. The cruel orcs and their dragons evacuated long before the Griffin Knights arrived."

"It's terrible." Vereesa whispered.

Duncan nodded, a hint of fanaticism flashing in his dark brown eyes, "But it will all end soon! Our troops will soon advance into Khaz Modan and fight all the way to Grim Batol, ending the Horde.

The final threat is to make the orcs repay their debt with blood!"

"This will sacrifice a lot of people." Luo Ning's voice was softer than his breath.

This sentence was heard by Centulus, who immediately turned to stare at the mage. "Many people will be sacrificed, yes! But we vow to liberate Lordaeron and other territories from the clutches of the orcs!

We will definitely do it, no matter what the cost!"

Luo Ning was not moved by his heroic words and retorted: "Then can you defeat those dragons?"

"We will defeat those giant reptiles and send them back to their home underground! If you devilish people..."

Before he could finish speaking, a three-foot-long log flew out of nowhere and landed in front of him and Vereesa, knocking all the food on the table to the ground. Everyone stood up in shock.

Get up and avoid spilling sauce or wine on yourself.

"Didn't the Paladin's doctrine teach you how to speak? Or..." Nathanos did not hide his sarcasm. He walked up to Centulus and continued: "You forgot what I just said.
