Chapter 40 - Lord of Demons

The cold wind tore Arthas' white hair and soothed his face, and the death knight smiled. It felt good to be back in the cold. The eternal summer in the Elf Land was full of floral fragrance and vitality, making him feel uncomfortable all over.

He likes it here better, the wind and snow wash him away.

Soldiers surrounded him as he crossed the snowy road. They were never tired or afraid of the cold.

Standing in the vast army was an intact man. The Lich King told Arthas that Nathanos was ready. This was good news, but he was now more interested in Kel'Thuzad, who was floating.

At the death knight's side, he was the one who asked the Scourge to come to this remote place in the ice and snow. So far, Arthas has not raised any questions. The Lich promised that he would tell him the truth and only tell him the truth.

"I remember you."

Nathanos was looking at Arthas and Kel'Thuzad on the edge of the cliff from a distance. The two people were talking about something. The Lich's mouth opened and closed, exhaling white breath, and it was unclear whether he was speaking or not. Arthas' back

Facing himself, Nathanos could not get any information from this conversation. He wanted to try his best to listen, but someone disturbed him at this time. It was a female elf and an undead. She saw Nathanos'

He seemed very surprised and painful at the time.

"Who are you?" Nathanos's blood-red eyes narrowed, wary of this approaching person.

"Veronara." She replied, the pain was even worse than before. This name seemed to remind her of memories, and whenever she recalled these, she would be punished by the Lich King. She originally wanted to continue telling Na

Thanos, she is the Ranger Captain of Silvermoon City.

Nathanos was surprised. He frowned and felt something sleeping quietly in his memory.

"Have you become like this too?" Veronara's voice had a hint of sadness.

Nathanos became even more uncomfortable. This was something he knew he was asking. Coming from the female elf's mouth, it sounded like sarcasm. Nathanos had never liked being manipulated, and he wasn't sure if he could adapt to this change.

"Are you sympathizing with me?"

"I feel for Alleria!"

Her words pierced Nathanos' heart that was no longer beating like a sword, but he could still feel the pain. The pain made his face distort.

Alleria? This name was also familiar, and he realized that it was important to him.

"who is she?"

"You don't remember? How sad."

Nathanos fell into deep thought and once again tried to retrieve his previous memories. This made him painful. And not long after, he felt the whisper again, and the voice was like a good medicine, helping him relieve the pain. But Verona

Raze wailed, the Lich King was punishing her.

"What do you know?" he asked, staring at Veronara who fell on the ground. "Aurelia, who is it? Tell me what happened."

'Your past!'

Since the Lich King couldn't see him, Nathanos couldn't understand his expression, but from his voice, it sounded like he was a little unhappy.

Nathanos, who couldn't get a definite answer, suddenly felt a vague twinge in his heart, but the feeling was quickly dispelled.

"I...I have nothing to tell you, Nathanos."

The muscles at the corners of Nathanos' eyes twitched. Veronara's eyes were dull and she stepped back blankly.

Next, Arthas gave an order. They would attack an orc tribe. The purpose was to seize a dark portal in the snowy mountains. Humans, elves, and now orcs. Nathanos felt that they were fighting against the entire world.

Be an enemy.

Things went beyond his imagination, and Arthas asked him to join the fight. Nathanos completed his first kill after his rebirth.

The orcs fought bravely, but in vain. All attempts to stop the Scourge were in vain. He stared at the Dark Portal for a long time. Something emerged from his incomplete memory. It seemed that he had faced a Dark Portal like this a long time ago.

.But the scale pales in comparison. He did not approach the Dark Portal. There were only Arthas and Kel'Thuzad in front of the door.

"Those filthy beasts are all dead." Arthas spat. "The Demon's Gate is yours, Lich."

The skeleton floated forward in excitement, raised its arms sincerely, and was extremely respectful—or rather, extremely afraid of being hurt.

"I call you, Archimonde! Your humble servant begs your voice!"

The green cloud continued to rotate. Then, Nathanos, who was behind, could already see a shape, and then his facial features. His skin seemed to be blue-gray, still a little unreal. But there is no doubt that this demon's body is very

Strong, thick and powerful arms, and legs like a goat - not feet, but a pair of forked hooves. There seems to be a tail twitching deliberately behind it. His arms, shoulders and legs are all covered with gold

.A pair of fleshy whiskers wriggled on his chin. His shining green eyes were eye-catching.

"You called me, little lich, and now I am here," the demon said, his voice so deep and resonant that the mountains seemed to tremble. "You are Kel'Thuzad, aren't you?"

The Lich lowered his head and said, "Yes, sir. It is I who call you. I beg you to tell me how to bring you into this world."

"You have to find a special book," Archimonde explained. "It is the only magic book left by Guardian Medivh. Only the lost spell in it is enough to bring me into your world.

.Go to the mortal city of Dalaran to find it, the book is there. The summoning ceremony will begin at sunset three days later."

The image disappeared. Nathanos stared at the place where it was, unable to look away for a long time.

Dalaran? Where Jaina Proudmoore learned magic? She's probably still there. Nathanos thought of a series of things, and the name appeared in his mind, and suddenly a spark of pain burned through him.

He wondered why he was worried that Jaina might still be in Dalaran.

"Dalaran has the most powerful mage in Azeroth." Nathanos spoke slowly. He didn't know who he was talking to. He just wanted to point it out. "They will be prepared."

"Like Quel'Thalas?" Kel'Thuzad sarcastically laughed hollowly. "Think of how vulnerable you are to our armies, Nathanos. Besides, I was

A member of the Kirin Tor, and I know Antonidas. I know their protective spells, and I also know where they are lax in their defenses. Those short-sighted mages will find that I have escaped my past fate, and it is really scary to see their fear.

Wonderful. We cannot fail, the Scourge cannot fail."

Nathanos' eyes dropped.

Arthas noticed this, "You seem reluctant to go to Dalaran."

"There are people I don't want to see there." Nathanos said, almost covering his head, as if there was something lingering in his memory.

Someone he doesn’t want to see? The Death Knight pondered the answer. Is it someone he hates?

Frostmourne flashed a cold light at this time, and the Lich King issued an order. Arthas listened, and he was a little surprised, because this order was not given to him.
