Chapter 22 - Crisis
…………
Dalaran, the magic city, for most people, is the most mysterious place in the world. It is a country completely established by mages. The top of the circular spire almost reaches the sky. There is a powerful mage in each mage tower.
There are few people passing by a wizard tower on the west side of Dalaran. It is surrounded by neither a commercial area nor an auction house. The only ones here are fountains and flowers, and these are everywhere in Dalaran. The owner of this wizard tower chose to set up his research base here for only one reason-- quiet enough, but he always encounters some troubled guests, so that until now, he will not show his true face.
On the upper floor of the Mage Tower, there was a dim room, and a short girl sat on an ordinary stool. Her figure was unsightly, especially in terms of height. But it was absolutely fine to say that she was cute. A trace of an unexpected aura revealed between her eyebrows, telling the world that she had a more terrifying perception than ordinary people. If Nathanos had thought this creature was a dwarf from childhood, and would grow to "tall" as Goodell, but this was obviously another race, a race that Nathanos had only mentioned in Goodell's mouth - a dwarf, a dwarf in a white robe, as white as her hair, with gold edges on her clothes, and the shoulder armor on her body was as smooth as scales. She looked like a priest, holding a staff longer than her height in her hands. But the dwarf girl's eyes were flashing with golden glow that the mortal race did not have.
The female dwarf on the stool was not restless. Her purpose was to find the owner of the wizard tower, but this guy hadn't appeared, or he had come, just to see how anxious he looked.
"When will you show up?" The dwarf girl said to the surroundings, her eyes were dark. She felt that the person she was looking for was behind the shadow, but she was not sure where the other party was.
"I really, really, have something very important."
The response to her was the cold wind blowing from the left. She had been here for two hours. She lowered her head, hoping to breathe a sigh of relief to make her feel better. On the thick stone wall of his body, there was a pair of brocade hanging, and a purple tapestry was depicted with complex and delicate techniques, which was the symbol of Dalaran.
"I think beings like you are the most patient and the least lacking in time." A gentle and elegant voice came from all around and resounded throughout the room.
The dwarf girl had no time to enjoy the pleasant music, so she jumped out of the chair.
"Where are you?" the dwarf girl looked around and then said, "Forget it, it doesn't matter." She knew in her heart that the other party might not be here at all. This was just a magic to convey sounds from a distance, and the mages often did this.
"I'll ask for your help."
"My help." The voice suddenly became a little slow and stiff, with a hint of surprise. "You should know that the two camps we represent now rarely interact with each other."
The dwarf girl was a little sad when she heard this, but it was an undeniable fact. She wiped the sweat beads on her forehead and continued to fight for it: "Yes, that's right. But once a very urgent situation occurs, I think it's necessary for us to unite."
"Have you gone to Marygos and Isera?"
"No, I don't think they are less sensible than you."
"Ha..., shallow flattery. But I'm curious about what you are looking for me?"
A glimmer of hope arose in the dwarf girl, she whispered: "It was a very urgent situation. Eight years ago, Azeroth's timeline had a very serious distortion."
"Wait? How long did you say it? Eight years ago? That was indeed quite urgent." The voice was mocking without any concealment.
"Please don't interrupt my conversation. We come to seek help from the alliance because we can't handle it." The dwarf girl shouted. This time the other party was quiet and waiting for her to continue talking.
"We sensed something to come to Azeroth, right in the Kingdom of Lordaeron, but strangely, we found no trace of it at all, and no abnormal unknown creatures were found on each timeline, but no matter how we tried to repair the twisted timeline, it would be of no help, so..."
“So the future of this world has been changed?”
The dwarf hesitated for a moment and nodded. "Most of them are the same as before, but the timeline about Lordaeron is no longer repairable, and the history of the Forgotten One has completely disappeared, and even the King of Banshee Sylvanas is gone."
"It sounds serious, so what do you want me to do?"
The dwarf girl stepped forward and stared at a shadow. She didn't know if the owner of the voice was there, but she knew that she could hear it in this direction.
"Find out that threat."
"Threat? Why are you sure it is a threat? And how could I find someone you can't find?"
"You must have a way. You are a mage and you must have some magic to do this."
"The mage can only study what he is interested in." The voice sounded again, and the dwarf almost ran away. This was a waste of time. He was teased by this guy who didn't even show his face.
"You mean you're going to stand by and watch?"
"It's almost the same. I'm going to learn from Nozdom, but he often stands by and watches."
"Damn it!" The dwarf cursed, chanting a spell in his mouth, sending himself away, and the room returned to its former tranquility, leaving only the chair.
Altlank Snow Mountain
Nathanos was preparing to face another battle, but this time, it was more dangerous than the previous one, with four people on the other side. Nathanos was not worried about the number of people on the other side because they had not received training. Even if they fought four, Nathanos was not panicked. However, he unexpectedly expected that it was not only Gray who could magic, but other children would also be handed over to them by Gray. At this time, small fireballs began to appear in their hands to a greater or lesser extent, and spells were chanting in their mouths. They surrounded Nathanos, with a cliff behind them, and they could not retreat at all. Once they retreated, the area where they could dodge became very small.
One of the children had some talent and read the spell first, and then the fireball flew towards Nathanos, but perhaps the first time he used magic, his fireball flew very slowly, and Nathanos easily twisted and dodged away.
"Bad, you stand in front, beware of him interrupting our spell casting." Grey cursed and said to the other children: "Others, slowly approach him."
