Chapter 47 - The Plan Begins

…………

The sky above the Well of Eternity was surging, and the dark lake water was churning endlessly. From time to time, huge waves higher than the palace were slapped violently on the lakeshore. The strong wind blew, and the gravel on the ground was swept into the air by the strong wind, whistling by, which was enough to be fatal.

The sky was filled with lightning, illuminating the way forward of the team from the towering towers. The Queen was also in the team, but she was surrounded by maids and demon guards to protect her. This tower is Azshara's favorite building, because it overlooks the full view of the Well of Eternity.

Manolos stood in the forest below the tower near the shore of the Eternal Well, saying it was a forest, but it had begun to burn, crawling with tall demon guards and hellfires. The Destroyer stretched out his extremely ugly arms and unrestrainedly absorbing the power of the chaotic lake water in the distance.

In order to ensure that the portal works properly, Azshara summoned six upper-level elf mages. These six mages were her confidants and the most powerful magic user. Each of them studied magic with one attribute to the extreme.

"To be honest, the great power of the Well of Eternity we use is just the tip of the iceberg." The captain of the guard Varosen murmured to Azshara in a low voice.

The Queen looked at the spectacular scene before her, stretched out a palm, and clasped it upwards, as if she wanted to take the power of the Well of Eternity for herself. "Now it can come in handy and bring Master Sargeras to me."

Azshara turned around and walked towards the cushioned pedestal that had been prepared, making a charming voice: "It's time!"

Varosen showed a greedy look on his face, and then returned to normal, shouting to the magicians: "Everyone is here!"

Along the way, the wreckage and bone fragments of collapsed houses were everywhere. Inhumane killings occurred in most areas of the palace, and the banks of the Eternal Well were not spared. Some bold night elves once settled their home here, hoping to better utilize the power of the Eternal Well. This wish was finally shattered, and the demons cruelly tore them to pieces.

...

Illidan saw countless ways to control the Well of Eternity, and knew more than ever what the leader of the Burning Legion had in mind. He wondered if the Queen really thought she would become the right-hand man to the Demon Chief. He suspected that Sargeras might not have included the matter in his plan at all.

"See it, they've started."

"I have to say that your plan is very bold, Illidan. After all... it's just the two of us."

The blind night elves faced Nathanos, "Are you scared?"

"No, I like the plan of fewer people." The undead replied.

Illidan smiled, "It seems that I'm not looking for the wrong person."

"There is still time. Should I tell me why you asked me to help you?"

"It's very simple, because the only person I can find is you. Azshara expelled all the elves in the palace not long ago. In order to prepare enough space for the demons, no elves must stay here except her confidants, and even some of the upper elves left. And I..." Illidan paused when he said that he was, Nathanos looked at his eyes, knowing how much he had paid to win the favor of the queen. "I sacrificed my talent and successfully approached Azshara. She seemed to be obsessed with you... and I also need help."

Nathanos stared at Illidan's eyes, and the other party knew what he was thinking. "It's not a lie to you! I've been brewing this plan for a long time!" His voice contained rage, and he was disgusted with the upper elves and Azshara. "The upper elves are crazy. The queen turned against his people for an evil and bloodthirsty guy! Sargeras promised to build a perfect world, ruled by the upper elves, but the fact is that this world is about to enter destruction!"

"You want to be a savior?"

"No, I want to save..."

"No need to say more." The undead knew that the elf wanted to say that the only thing he wanted to save was Tyrande. The war was imminent, and Nathanos didn't want to hear such words. His eyes were staring at the situation outside the room, and many demons had already walked out of the portal. "No wonder when we walked into the palace, those demons did not stop us. It was Azshara who asked you to catch me, and then you used the trick to bring me into the palace to help you deal with her."

"What I want to deal with is the Burning Legion, it is Sargeras." Illidan corrected, and then added: "Catching you was the task given to me by Azshara, and at this time she obviously had no extra attention to studying what kind of creature you are. This is a great opportunity. I will bring you in and let you act with me."

"Have you ever thought that all this you did might not be rewarded in any way?"

"I don't ask for anything in return, nor do I care about anything I want. No one can give me what I want except me." Illidan pulled out two weapons from the crack in the corner of the room. It was a pair of battle blades, but it was not the Essinos battle blades he mastered ten thousand years later.

Nathanos nodded after hearing his words. He admired Illidan for such determination.

"So first we must first grasp the situation in the Tower Square. You should know how to deal with the demons."

Illidan smiled evilly and said, "Look at the demons, they came out of a portal and left from another portal. Do you know where they went?"

"You know?"

"There are more than two of us who want to stop Azshara. Azeroth's rebels have gathered in addition to Azshari. They are trying to break through the devil's defensive line."

Nathanos understood, and he walked to the window and stared at the teams of demon soldiers, with demon guards responsible for surveillance flying in the sky. In addition to the demon guards, other demons were constantly supporting the front-line battlefield, and they were endless, and even Nathanos was shocked.

“Those portals must be closed.”

“Very good, that’s the first step I planned.”

"But how should we get close to the portal?"

"It's time for you to see the evil powers I control!"

...

The tide was coming and it had the power to destroy the dead. In a blink of an eye, the entire lake shore had disappeared under the ruthless tide. The tide that rushed to the shore did not flow back to the center of the lake, but continued to rush out. The ruins on the shore were swept away by the lake water and washed away completely. The terrifying waves kept hitting the land and swept away everything above. The stone tablets on the ground were cut off by the big waves and rushed everywhere.

At this time, a huge vortex suddenly appeared in the lake. It started from the shore and extended in all directions, and the size of the vortex was obvious. For the first time, Azshara saw that the violent energy of the Well of Eternity was tumbling neatly... All the energy was sucked into the center of the lake.

Manolos, standing by the Well of Eternity, was overwhelmed by this force, and he burst into laughter. The fierce waves did not hurt Manolos at all. The Lord of the Abyss was immersed in accepting the glory of his master's power, and roared to make Sargeras speed up. Manolos thought that this vortex seemed to devour the entire Well of Eternity, and the facts proved that his idea was completely correct. Although he could only see a small part of the vortex, he knew in his heart that the Well of Eternity must have been involved in it.

Suddenly, a faint light in the sky caught his attention. The light source became brighter and brighter, and there were "birds" flapping their wings. After a closer look, Manolos understood that it was not a bird at all, but a dragon, many dragons. There was a figure behind one of the dragons, and he held a golden disc in his hand.

...

"I seemed to hear the voice of the dragon. It seemed that some people were more anxious than us." Nathanos said.

"Great!" Illidan looked very excited. "Now their attention must be on the Well of Eternity, it's time for us to act!"

Nathanos seemed less confident than the night elves, and he finally asked, "Do you know who the commander in charge of the Tower Square?"

"It's a lackey of Savis, named Perosan, who, like his master, has become a Sartre."

"One? Very good, let me kill him."
