Chapter fifty-five - tit for tat

…………

Half a month later, the league leaders decided to have a meeting in Theramore. The time happened to be for the Midsummer Flame Festival, so the scene looked like a celebration.

Sylvanas did not feel better because of this. She spent most of her time visiting Nathanos's father. Even at such a lively moment, there was no trace of a smile on the old man's face. At first, when Breed saw Sylvanas, he mistakenly regarded her as Aurelia, and after explanation, he told him that he was Sylvanas.

The situation gradually improved, and Breed asked Sylvanas many questions, all about Nathanos. Before visiting him, the female elf expected what Brid would say, so she gradually comforted Breed with the lies she prepared in advance and told him that Nathanos was very good. After hearing this, Breed always nodded and smiled faintly.

When all alliance leaders arrive.

Jaina invited Sylvanas to the banquet together, and they knew that they could not delay too long. Sylvanas was worried that his existence would conflict with other alliance members, such as the Night Elf. In Kadore's eyes, she was still an upper-level elves, which would make them feel uneasy, but to her comfort was that when the female elves met the High Priest Tedran, the other party looked very comfortable. This was mostly because she participated in the Battle of Mount Hygar and helped the Night Elf deal with the Burning Legion.

In addition, Sylvanas observed everyone present - mostly followers of leaders of various camps. Among them, the dwarf king Magni Bronzebeard, whom she knew, had left her seat and talked to Gerbin Mekatok, the leader of the dwarf, the great craftsman. It is not difficult to imagine what topics could make the "little ones" talk together. But Magni somehow made Mekatok laugh.

"I heard that the dwarf's city was occupied?" Sylvanas whispered to Jaina.

"That happened many years ago. Now the dwarfs are all in the Iron Fort." Jaina suddenly stopped and saw Bene coming. "News are coming..."

The night elf sentry saluted and immediately said, "Ms., the people from Stormwind City have arrived."

Jaina gave Sylvanas a look and told her that she needed to deal with it. The female elf nodded and responded, and at this moment she was the only one left. Since there were not many people, Magni soon noticed that there was a beautiful and charming elf here.

"It must be the Titan that lets you show up here, beautiful lady." Magni stepped forward to Sylvanas with a three-pointer of alcohol and said. The female elf was not disgusted with him, but she was worried that the dwarf's drinking at this time would affect the more important conversation later.

"Ms. Gianna said it was the tides and sea tides that brought me to Theramore, but I think it was fate that made me come here." Sylvanas replied politely. Even if the people present were big shots, she could still remain calm.

Tyrande noticed the situation here, she stood up, walked over quietly and gracefully, and joined the conversation, "I investigated a news in the sentinel in Ashes Valley that the tribe received the envoy from Silver Moon City. Is this true, General Ranger?"

The high priest's breath revealed a sense of oppression. Her words sounded as soft as a breeze, but they were irresistible. Compared to her, Sylvanas was a little unconfident, but it was not yet at a loss.

"I'm surprised that you will care about Silver Moon City, the High Priest. But I'm no longer a Ranger General. Secondly, you're right, the tribe has indeed received the Blood Elf Envoy."

Tyrande frowned, "Is it a simple diplomacy or..."

"It's joining the tribe."

Sylvanas took advantage of the situation and said, shocking Tyrande's eyes widened and causing the wine glass in Magni to fall to the ground.

"Titans are on the top, join the tribe?" the dwarf shouted, "Have you forgotten the crimes the tribe had committed against Quel'thalas?"

"No!" Sylvanas rejected it, "Not forgot." She clenched her fists, "Not everyone has forgotten it, I haven't forgotten it yet. The people of Queldore who followed me to Theramore have not forgotten it either." Sylvanas suddenly raised the volume, covering the noise around him. "There are traces left by the red dragon flames in the Yongge Forest." When Mekatok walked over, the female elf was saying. "The tribe has not paid the price for this matter yet, when the roar of Queldores' revenge was released..."

"Will the orcs turn around and leave with disgust?" a voice said mockingly.

This immediately attracted Sylvanas's attention. She turned around immediately, and her hunter-like gaze swept quickly from the faces of everyone present to find the culprit of the harsh words. Most of them just looked back at Sylvanas, obviously as shocked by the rampant speech as she did. A few looked around worriedly.

Others, such as Magni and Tyrande, turned their eyes from Sylvanas to the position where the person who spoke. The female elf noticed their movements. She looked at the human being who spoke with their eyes.

"You?" Sylvanas narrowed his eyes. She also saw Jaina. The female mage looked a little panicked now, worried that the female elf would get angry because of this sentence.

"And after you're shy away from the orcs, you, like all the high elves, hide far away in the forest and let the alliance clean up the mess."

If Sylvanas wanted to rush over and tear open the opponent's throat, she could do it. This distance would easily pinch the other's trachea. But she still stayed in place, just calmed down and looked at the human being calmly.

But to her reaction, the new man only gave a contemptuous glance, and then turned to the rest of the banquet more politely and bowed.

"High-level priestess Tyrande, King Magni, and the great craftsmen, I'm glad to see you again," said Varian Wrien calmly.

Magni hurriedly came up to intervene. "King Varian! We don't know you're here..."

"I don't know that there are some irrelevant people participating in this meeting." The Ghost Wolf's eyes swept over everyone present one by one, and finally stopped at Sylvanas.

Jaina deliberately stood between the two. "She is my guest, His Majesty the King. Ms. Sylvanas participated in the Battle of Mount Hygar, helped me hold the front and eliminate countless demons."

"Have she really helped you?" Varian Wrien interrupted her. He was burly and majestic and slightly gloomy. He had long scars on his face, crossing his cheeks and nose, as if he was injured by a sharp sword. He looked like he was the kind of impulse to do things and didn't know how to beat around the bush, but Sylvanas felt that his words were sharper than his sword. "Didn't she just appear here now, use you, and then join the league?"

"She is not..."

"Of course not." Sylvanas said in an unquestionable tone, which made Varian feel that he had asked a stupid question. The female elf gave Jaina a reassuring smile, and looked at Varian with a relaxed look on her face. "I have never said to join the league." Sylvanas looked at Varian contemptuously, and her provocation also tested the patience of the King of Stormwind. "Please make no mistake, King Varian. My ship was sailing to not Danasus, not Danmoro, nor a city crushed by orcs." The last sentence played a role in Varian. The King of Stormwind's face suddenly changed and he glared at Sylvanas angrily, but the female elf didn't seem afraid.

"This is Theramore." Sylvanas reminded that everyone present knew. "If there is another place in this world that allows high elves to live in peace between other races, it must be here. Ms. Jaina is very impressed by the righteousness and strives to maintain peace between the alliance and the tribe. At the same time, I also learned about the situation of Theramore. I heard that other members of the alliance, especially the aristocratic class on one side... are very unfriendly to her." Her eyes looked directly at Varian, and both language and movements showed who she was talking about. The night elves

There are no nobles among the dwarfs, and the title of nobles in the dwarf kingdom is more like a false reputation. Sometimes, a dwarf baron often hangs in bars and fights after drinking and having fun. Only the nobles in Stormwind hold actual power. Because of the death of Delin Prodmore, Gianna was once pushed to the forefront. Some people in Stormwind accused her of her behavior. Even now, the alliance between Theramore and Stormwind is still cold. Although Gianna, as the leader of the Human Alliance, the princess of Kurtiras and the hero who participated in the jihad, was squeezed out of the awkward situation of the alliance core.
