Chapter 2 - Hellfire Citadel

…………

The first step of the plan is very simple: go directly to the Dark Gate. During this process, the demon guard with a giant sword had already been penetrated inside the Dark Gate. Nathanos commanded everyone to charge and asked Merriel to use magic to kill the demon blocking the way. The Withered Man knocked down a guy who was yelling and rushed up, and first came to the Dark Gate. He felt inexplicably excited. He did not mention thinking about whether it was safe, but rushed in directly.

A cold traction echoed on his body, like a powerful stream of water pulling him. Nathanos's body was already cold, and he could not feel the cold, but now, the biting cold made him tremble for a moment that it was difficult for him to adapt. The withered man gritted his teeth and moved forward... At that moment, darkness, starlight and various strange colors mixed in front of him. Then, the abstract picture in his vision gradually became concrete, and the warm air rushed towards his body of death.

The night...the sky was bright. Nathanos unconsciously raised his hand to rub his eyes. Now he could be sure that Azeroth's dark gate was completed in a hurry, and the dark gate in front of him was obviously carefully crafted by the orcs. Two huge stone statues with hoods towered on both sides of him, and the steps in front of him were stacked as high as a hill. Two pillars with flames on the top stood on the road in front of him.

"I believe Turayan was as shocked as you back then." Merriel's voice came from behind, his magic flew past Nathanos, hitting a demon who had just climbed up. "Now is not the time to be dazed."

The mage reminded Nathanos turned around and looked, except for Sirezego who was still breathing heavily, everyone else was ready.

"Let's leave here first and decide where to go after dawn!"

...

The red, barren cracked plain stretched in front of them was so familiar to everyone, because it looked no different from the curse land. Sirezego stared into the distance and saw the dry land cracking. The flames jumped upwards from it. The orcs couldn't believe it. This scene was like this after dawn. There were no clouds in the sky, and even the stars could be seen during the day, and in the distance, the floating island pulled into the air by unknown forces.

Before the operation of Sirezego, he told Nathanos that the Tanaan jungle was no longer a forest, but a wasteland, but he never expected it to become like this. The situation is a hundred times worse than he remembers. The orc began to worry that he would be punished by the wither. He turned around and saw that the man's gaze was attracted by the sky. It was red, the red was the crimson of blood. The sun was shining violently on the earth, emitting burning heat.

"Nathanos." Merell, who turned into a crow, flew to the Withering One. After he returned to his human form, he had an indescribable expression, indicating that the situation was not optimistic. "I have investigated this area, and I have a feeling that this world was torn apart by powerful magic."

"Tear a planet? Under such powerful magic, there are still creatures that can survive. It's a miracle." Nathanos sighed, grabbing a handful of soil on the ground with his hands, then loosen it, and the red gravel fell vertically. "Not windy now? This world is much worse than Azeroth."

Merriel wrapped his arms around him. He was not as pessimistic as Nathanos, but he also knew the seriousness of the situation. "It was only here. If it were other places, such as Shadow Moon Valley and Nagran, the situation might be different."

"What did you see in heaven?" asked the Withering.

"I found two fortresses, not far ahead. One of them was hung with the flag of the original alliance, and there were humans and dwarves inside. It should be Turayan's expeditionary force."

"Turrayan?" Nathanos said in surprise, and he asked urgently: "Did you see him?"

The mage shook his head, "No, I observed for a while and peeked at the entire fortress with magic. I didn't find a paladin with sufficient qualifications. Now the one who leads that unit is an old warrior."

"Is he a human?"

Merriel nodded.

"That should be Danas Thorbain, and I didn't expect them to be alive." Nathanos snorted coldly, "What about... what about another fort?"

"It is almost a few thousand meters away from the fortress of mankind. It is built in a canyon with strong city walls and several towers, which are much more majestic than the fortress of mankind."

"That must be the Hellfire Fortress!" Sirezego shouted, and he walked over excitedly, raised his hands high, and proudly introduced: "That is the orcs' military fortress. In order to build it, almost all the stones of Draenor were hollowed out. My compatriots must be living there, right, wizard?"

Merell frowned and said slowly, "There are indeed many orcs living there, but they are probably no longer your compatriots." The mage sighed, "The orcs inside were as red as this land, and their bodies were covered with bloody herpes. When I approached the fortress, I smelled the stench of the demon."

"This...is impossible."

"You mean, those orcs have drunk the blood of the demon?"

Evil Feng nodded to Nathanos, and he added: "Not only that, I noticed a powerful force under the Hellfire Fortress, which was the power of a demon, and it should be that there was a certain demon lord hidden."

"Who is leading this army?" Sirezego looked at Merriel with a sad face, hoping that what the mage said was not true.

"I don't know this, but I saw some orcs cutting off their hands and replacing them with weapons, which was very cruel."

The mage said this, and Sirezego roared loudly at the sky, and his anger burned in his eyes. "It's the Broken Hand Clan, they... they chose to fall, how could they..."

"It seems we need to understand the world before we act." Nathanos interrupted the orc, and he gave Sirezego a calm time. After the latter calmed down, the Withered One said, "We cannot stay here, we have to find a way to go to a place suitable for us to build camps." He looked at the orc, "Silsego, can you take us to Nagra first? You have mentioned that Nagra is like spring all year round."

"I still remember." Sirezego swallowed, "but Hellfire Fortress..."
