Chapter 9 - Nightmare

…………

Something woke Sylvanas from her sleep. In the darkness, she was lying on the bed motionless, and a slight crackling sound echoed around her. Suddenly she felt an inexplicable fear, because this sound, once upon a time, she had heard... it was the movement caused by the flames burning the wood.

The female elf moved carefully to the door and pressed her ears against the smooth oak door - there was a silence, no movement, and no footsteps. How could there be any other sounds besides the waves at night? Sylvanas covered her face in a dizzy mind, blaming herself for being too sensitive. She was barefoot, but her chest and leg guards on her body did not take off her when she was sleeping, for fear that someone would not do her good for her when she was sleeping.

At this time, a strange crackling sounded again, and this time the echoes coming along the cold floor were so clear and vivid. Sylvanas slowly pushed open the door and stared outward. The corridor in front of him was dark and silent, and the torches on the wall highlighted the light and shadows. As a ranger who was good at controlling emotions, Sylvanas felt something surging in his body - a kind of guilt that would never be forgotten.

She tried many times, but still couldn't dispel the primitive uneasiness and self-blame that permeated her entire body. After walking out of her residence, Sylvanas found that a guard guard on the street was not on the post of duty.

Sylvanas walked carefully on the road in the city and followed the sound. But she felt something strange, and the towering walls of Theramore seemed a little different - taller and darker. She looked up at Jaina's mage tower, with blue flags of alliances hanging on them.

In the darkness, Sylvanas heard a vague wail and a sudden sound of fighting. Her eyes swept quickly to the corner ahead, and a clear blood mark flowed into her eyes. The female elf rushed over. Under the dark night sky, a two-story house was burning with a raging fire. The fire was so dazzling. There were many people, but she could only tell two of them. When Sylvanas adapted to the environment, she found a woman standing in front of the fire, and her cloak was rising and falling in the wind and waves caused by the flames.

Sylvanas was familiar with this back, and the lines exposed her body like herself. Aurelia Wind Walker, her sister, the Regent of the Blood Elves.

This incredible scene almost stunned Sylvanas, fresh blood slid along Aurelia's blade and dripped from the sharp tip of the knife...

"No!" Sylvanas almost jumped up from the chair. The scene just now was still stirring in her mind. She found herself asleep sitting on the boat heading to Stormwind City. The warm sunlight shone in from the window, and she vaguely heard the shouts on the deck.

Is it almost here? Sylvanas thought so.

The door was gently knocked, and Jaina's voice came from outside. "Silvanas, we're almost here."

The female elf stood up quickly. "Okay, I'll be here soon." She took out another mirror, sorted out her armor, and after she pushed away a strand of hair hanging from her tired eyes, she reached out to get the bow and weapon hanging on the wall. Sylvanas hesitated for a while, Lorengolu and Queldra Sylvanas took Nathanos's relics when they left Silvermoon City. These two things made her sad, but she didn't want them to be in Aurelia's hands.

After calming down a little, Sylvanas walked out of the cabin and she stepped onto the deck. A cold wind blew, causing her to tremble.

Jaina was giving instructions to the captain. When she saw Sylvanas coming, she smiled and said, "I'm still wondering if it has disturbed your dream."

Sylvanas sighed and shook his head immediately: "No. I want to thank you, Jaina, for pulling me out of my nightmarish memories."

The female mage blinked, observed her face, and was relieved after confirming that what the female elf said was true. She also boldly guessed what nightmare Sylvanas had. "Don't worry, Varian won't make things difficult for you, and I'm there."

Sylvanas tried his best to hide his true thoughts. She saw the crowds of people at the port of Stormwind, and the flags and ribbons fluttered in the wind. Their group was about to arrive.

"I'm not afraid of the Wolf of Ghosts. I've faced a more terrifying and powerful existence than him."

After hearing this, Jaina nodded and continued, "Actually, I never thought you would come to Stormwind with me, which may not be beneficial to you."

"I can't escape." Sylvanas stretched out his palms out of the ship, and the sea breeze blew on her palms, which was very comfortable. "If I don't go, the nobles of Stormwind will use me to laugh at you and embarrass you. If I go, I can teach you the politicians a lesson."

Jaina put aside her chaotic thoughts and sorted out her messy hair, although they would become chaotic again after three seconds. "I'm used to it, and I can handle the suppression of the nobles." The female mage heard about Sylvanas's injury to two humans a week ago, one lying on the bed with bandages, and the other has not woken up yet. The female elf said she would help her teach the nobles a lesson, but Jaina was not very pleased with her way.

"If it were him, he wouldn't care about the other person's identity when dealing with anyone."

"What?"

"Nothing." Sylvanas replied, and she glanced at the tall wall above the port of Stormwind City. Tonight, the reconstruction of Stormwind City was very successful, and it was difficult to find out the signs of the destruction of this kingdom.

Jaina's personal guard, Bern, came over, the night elf, a sophisticated warrior, and said: "We are about to dock, ma'am, but it seems to be a little late."

"As expected, Bern." Jaina nodded, and tried hard to not let herself laugh. The female mage did not value the concept of agreement. She was often late, and everyone familiar with her knew this. "I hope that Varian and his politicians have discussed how to face the Dark Gate to reopen. We just need to listen. After all, Theramore is not in the Eastern Kingdom, so we will not interfere in the Curse Land."

The Ranger General of the Silver Covenant felt a little comforting, and it felt great to hear Jaina look at what was going to happen next with an optimistic attitude. She said, "Can Varian keep you out of the matter?"

"His Majesty the King can only give orders, not force others." Jaina stretched her waist with a relaxed expression. She took a deep breath of sea breeze, which was the last comfort before a verbal battle.
