Chapter 27 - Storm Fortress

…………

"You can see it yourself." Aurelia threw a document sent from the tribe's main city Orgrimmar at Romans's feet, his eyes full of anger that had nowhere to vent. For this great wizard, because he was the mouthpiece of Kelthus who stayed in Azeroth, Aurelia has always maintained enough respect for him, but there is always a bottom line in everything.

The great magician used spells to make the copy on the ground fly into his hands, and his eyes swept over the text calmly. When he finished reading the last sentence, Romans's eyes turned to the Regent who was paced back and forth on the Sun-Chasing Throne. The former position of the former king has now changed his master and surname.

"What are you still thinking?" Aurelia's obvious impatient voice pulled the Great Magician out of the fog of memories. "Is there any reason to convince me that what is said above is fake?"

"This is not true." For a moment, Aurelia was shocked by his calmness. Romans was a powerful mage, but he was by no means a calm person. He was easily angry, especially whenever someone questioned Kelthus.

"You want to say that this is an alliance conspiracy or a tribe's deception?"

"This is just an outsider's misunderstanding of Prince Kelthas." Romans was a little excited, but Aurelia relaxed. This was Romans, the guy who was easily controlled by emotions. "Who was slandering the prince? Who was it?"

"Your good friend, Vorethal!" the Regent replied in a more remarkable tone.

Romans was shocked. He knew Voretal. As Aurelia said, the two of them were even close friends. They followed His Highness the Prince together and were deeply trusted by Kelthas.

How could it be?

"There is enough to make Sindore criticized by a prince who follows the demon master." Aurelia's voice was filled with undisguised complaints. "There is still the saying that Kelthas is surrendering to the demon."

"It's Prince Kelthas." Romans corrected, "You are just exercising his power in Quelthalas on his behalf, Regent. You are not the king yet!"

A raging flame ignited in Aurelia's eyes, "Where is the person who should have become king now? What is he doing now?" Her questioning left Romans speechless for a moment. The great magician really didn't know how to answer this question. The prince had not contacted Quel'thalas for a long time.

After a moment of silence, the Regent regained his composure. "I want you to explain all the actions of Prince Kelthas in the Outlands clearly. Romans, this is the order!"

"You!" Romans hit the ground with his staff, "You are doubting His Highness the Prince."

"I only believe in the facts." Aurelia pointed at the report in Romans's hand, "If His Highness was wronged, I would apologize for questioning him, but if what is said above is true..." The female elf slowly approached the mage and warned: "I will never let the second Alsace appear in this world!"

"Your Highness the Prince is not..."

"Do you think I'm a fool, Romans!" Aurelia interrupted him toughly, "Chief Sar went to the foreign land a few months ago. This information was written by him! Did he send it directly to Silver Moon City if he didn't investigate it clearly?"

The two men stared at each other, Romans' fingers trembled slightly, as if he was about to pinch Aurelia's neck at any time, but the great magician would never do such a thing. He finally broke his silence, "I will go to the Outlands to find the prince in person, I will ask him clearly, I will prove that the orc's words are not trustworthy!"

"I'm afraid you won't have this chance!" Aurelia's words were like breaking a basin of cold water at Romans, which surprised the great magician and was full of doubts. "The order of the tribe chief, before the matter was investigated, all the blood elves on Azeroth could not go to the outer realm. And..." She lowered her voice, "All the close ministers of Kelthas must be interrogated."

"What?" Romans widened his eyes and looked at Aurelia incredibly. How dare she do this woman?

The Regent clapped his hands, and behind Romans, two magic breakers with shields and halberds walked in and came behind Romans.

The great magician had only the anger he wanted to vent at this moment. Aurelia actually wanted to imprison him. "Did you prepare this long ago?"

"If you cooperate, there will be no accidents."

Romans' eyes were shining with light, which seemed to be more dazzling than the brightly lit room. "You are so generous, Regent," he said, but his eyes never left Aurelia's face. His voice sounded like a coiled snake: low, but contained ferocity and danger. "Have you considered yourself king?"

"In your eyes, anything unhappy is a conspiracy, great magician." Aurelia said disdainfully, "I am loyal to Quel'thalas, not the Sun Chaser."

…………

When Romans was taken down, Aurelia looked around and found Belorel's familiar face. He was standing on the stairs behind the throne hall, staring at her. While the Regent and the Great Magician argued with each other, her son also came. From that surprised face, Aurelia knew that he must have been frightened.

"Belorel?" Aurelia returned to her usual gentleness, which was completely different from what she looked like just now. She quickly walked to her son and bent down to help him organize the separated buttons on his clothes.

Belorel's eyes were full of fear and confusion. Seeing this, Aurelia's heart sank. Shouldn't everything be seen by her biological son? Aurelia didn't know how much Belorel saw, so she tried to calm her face. "Where do you want to go today?"

Bellorel slowly took a few steps back and shook his head, and he looked at the direction of Romans disappearing. "Are you the king, mother?"

The anger that remained in Aurelia's chest was like a river pouring out from the dam that broke into the dam, leaving only endless emptiness in her heart. She stared at her son blankly, stroking his golden hair exhaustedly.

"I'm not, child." She replied, no one could understand the mission she shoulders and the role she was going to play. No one had ever understood, now or in the future. But no matter what she did, no matter what happened, after she ended her encirclement of Nathanos, she swears that nothing could make her leave her child and she would never let Belorel suffer any harm.

…………

"Our next goal is here." Nathanos pointed to the Void Storm on the map.

"Do you want to get the Storm Fortress?" Merriel was as smart as ever. He saw Nathanos' fingers placed in the easternmost part of the Storm Fortress and said, "That's the territory of Kelthas. Almost 80% of the blood elves in the outer realm are stationed there."

"Of course we can't attack hard." Nathanos coughed twice, and he had never recovered after he had done something to deal with the dragon eggs of Cinestra. "We need to use foreign aid to let others conquer the Storm Fortress for us."

"Other people?" Merriel pondered this statement. The alliance and the tribe were busy attacking the Hellfire Fortress. There were only forces in the entire foreign territory that could compete with Kelthas...

“Shatas?”

Nathanos did not directly confirm Merell's guess. He looked through the map and his eyes moved to the Taroka Forest. "Our spies were stationed in time and happened to find out an important news. Not long ago, a blood elf named Voletal under Kelthas's command rebelled and went to Shatas. He said that the Blood Elf Prince had close contact with the Burning Legion in private."

"If this is true, I'm afraid the tribe and Shattas will not sit idly by."

"This is also my concern. Once Kelthas is defeated, the ownership of the entire Storm Fortress is most likely to be given to Shatas..."

"Then we can raid them while they were slacking off when they first captured the Storm Fortress." Merell suggested.

The Withering One shook his head at this, "I thought about doing this, but how should we defend this fortress after we succeed? Naru and the Delaneys will not let it go. And according to the size of the fortress, we need at least a thousand soldiers to improve our defense, which will greatly reduce our strength in Azeroth."

"Since that's the case, why are you going to compete for the Storm Fortress?"

"Because I want the Forgotten to have a moving fortress," Nathanos explained, he said no more. The two fell silent, and Merriel was rapidly thinking about the answer given by the Withered One. The Storm Fortress is a spaceship, a transdimensional spaceship used by the mysterious Naru to travel in the universe.

"The idea is so bold, Nathanos, and even if we get the Storm Fortress, we don't know how to start it."

"So this is a long plan. We must be patient." The Wither suddenly felt a little dizzy. He closed his eyes and slowed down for a while before continuing: "Tell Giznock that I will give him half a month and must master the core of the technology of the Woshugoodleni people."

…………

Sylvanas hid under a brown cloak. She walked day and night for three days before she arrived at the legendary "City of Holy Light". The city is open, and many adventurers come to stop every day. The female elves followed them and walked into Shatas carefully. She had no intention of observing this magnificent city. Time was limited, so she had to find Voretal immediately.

There were Draenei soldiers wearing armor everywhere, many people were training in groups, and there were thunder elephants used for plains. No matter how you look at it, it seemed like a war was being prepared.

Danas's words are true. Sylvanas really saw many elves here, all wearing gold-patterned purple robes. This is not the clothing style of blood elves or high elves, it seems that they have only become popular recently.
