Chapter 20 - Persuasion

…………

Uther left the main army tent with a loss and relaxation. He walked towards the direction where Nathanos was imprisoned, and he saw the child staying motionless in the cage from afar. Although his clothes were not thin, they could not bring him warmth. Uther believed that Nathanos' hands must be very cold. The quilt and thick clothes were placed where he could reach, and the bread and milk that had just been prepared in front of him was no longer steaming.

It has been two days since Nathanos didn't eat or drink, and he didn't even move his position. His hands still had dark purple frostbite on his face.

"Nathanos?" Uther called softly.

"Let me guess." Nathanos said slightly, telling Uther that he had not fainted yet, and that his voice was so weak that only Uther could hear it. "You wanted Lothar to believe me, but failed."

"Maybe they are right." Uther hoped that Nathanos would come out of it voluntarily, and in his eyes it was not a detriment to dignity.

But the apprentice raised his head and he asked only one question: "Do you believe me, tutor?"

"Of course, so I went to find Lotha."

Nathanos shook his head: "The main purpose of your search for Lossa is not to make them believe me, but to hope Lossa can forgive me and let me out."

The Paladin felt a sense of fear, and Nathanos seemed to have seen through him completely.

"You succeeded, mentor. You succeeded in winning the sympathy of Lothar, right?" Nathanos noticed that Uther was no longer looking in his eyes.

"Come out, I'll take you home."

"Go home?" Nathanos stood up hard when he heard these two words, but sitting on the cold ground for a long time made his legs numb and he almost fell.

"Look at the people behind you, including you and me." Nathanos shouted, "Most of them are going to die." His voice was far away, because people wanted to keep quiet in the cold weather. "The survivors would be more afraid. Do you know why I'm here, Uther?" Nathanos asked, and immediately replied, "Do you think I just want to prove that everything I said is true? I tell you, I want to witness the moment when this ridiculous camp was razed by the tribe's raids, and I want everyone to know how self-righteous you are."

"You are the ones who think they are so stubborn, why are you always so stubborn?" Uther shouted angrily. The quarrel between them attracted almost everyone's attention, and more and more people turned their attention here.

After a brief silence, neither of them made any concessions. Uther turned and left, throwing a key at Nathanos's feet before leaving.

"You are no longer my mentor." Nathanos's last words came from behind Uther. "You will all regret it."

The Paladin stopped at no means of help. He struggled inside. He wanted Nathanos to forgive himself, but the problem was that Uther didn't even know where he was wrong.

In the main army tent, Lossa and others also heard their quarrel.

"Perhaps, we should indeed be in case." Kadega said to the people around him after the movement was over. Tulayang lowered his head and remained silent. Losa sighed and shook his head.

"Then install scouts near the location where the tribe may land, and come back and report immediately whenever there is any situation."

Sixth Army Camp

Commander Osmar Garithers is checking out Terenas's orders. This man is stronger than Lerain thought, but his every move is more like a brave guy.

"Will the Horde attack the Alliance camp? How many of them are there?" asked Garethus, and the Lordaeron messenger turned his eyes to Leren. The priest cleared his throat and replied, "I don't know, we only know that the Horde will attack tomorrow."

"Didn't you say that the tribe will not attack within a few months?"

"The news is wrong, General. Elf..., Elf can make mistakes, right?"

After hearing Leren's explanation, Gareth nodded, put his feet on the table, and his black plate armor was wiped cleanly.

"It is true that those long ears living in trees should not believe that King Terenas would have invited them to help the Alliance."

Leren breathed a sigh of relief, it seemed that Galithers didn't like elves.

"Well, I will follow His Majesty's instructions. In order to arrive earlier, we will set out in three hours. You!" Garethus pointed at Leren: "You come and be the guide."

“I’m very willing to serve.”

Tribal front raid troops.

Red was lucky that they were able to avoid the cruiser of Coultiras. Although they were in the fog now, Orgrim confidently promised them on the right route. It was just that the Hammer of Destruction suddenly ordered a slowdown and made Red strange.

"Chief, I think we should get to the shore sooner. We have been drifting on the sea for a few days. We still need to rest when we get ashore." Red said as he looked ahead.

Orgrim puts the Black Warhammer behind his back, his sight in the same direction as Red.

"We don't need rest, General Red, our soldiers' will to fight is becoming stronger and stronger."

"Since that's the case, why don't we move forward at a rapid pace, we have avoided the blockade of Kultilas."

The Hammer of Destruction laughed and turned around and patted Red on the shoulder: "Don't worry, everything is within my plan. I have asked Zujin to take several ships to investigate the situation ahead. Once land is discovered, he will send someone back to report it immediately. At the same time, he will stay to solve the scouts that the alliance may have been placed there."

"You are still worried that our actions will be noticed."

"Just in case, now that the arrow is on the string, we have no way out."

"So when will we log in?"

"We must master the time, but not tonight. We will arrive at our destination within two hours before dawn tomorrow and then destroy the human village over there." Orgrim said, feeling more and more excited. "Red, tell everyone, including Hellscream. We cannot make too much noise, set fire, and kill all the human villagers before they scream because of fear. Men, women, or children, can't leave a living."

"As for orders, Chief."

Red received instructions to start making arrangements, and a transport ship in front was sailing here, carrying several forest trolls on it.

"Zujin sent us to report to you, Chief."

“How is the situation?”

"The alliance has no defenses, but has arranged eyeliners, but don't worry, Zujin is now clearing these obstacles for you."

Orgrim nodded: "Let him move faster and never make any mistakes."

“As you wish.”

In the Alliance barracks, the moon has risen to a high altitude. Nathanos once read in the book that Azeroth has two moons, I don’t know if it is true. His mobile phone is holding the key to regaining freedom, as cold as his hands. In the past few days, the elves, Gray, and some others have taken turns to humiliate themselves, and Nathanos has ignored it.

'They may all die.' He calculated in his mind the serious consequences of the disaster, but the people in the disaster were unaware of it. What would happen if the alliance failed? Nathanos felt fear in his heart, and the tribe would destroy it. His home, Maris Farm, was inevitable. His parents and family might be doomed. Nathanos found himself wrong, and he placed his hopes on this alliance that disappointed him. He scolded himself for being stupid from the bottom of his heart. He had to leave, and he made up his mind and sweared to himself. Now a third party force appeared on the battlefield.
