Chapter Ten - Twilight Highlands
…………
Northalon.
Nathanos remembers that place was called this. Many years ago, when he was involved in the incident of Grimbato saving the Red Dragon Queen, he knew that sooner or later he would return here. Deathwings, Demon Souls, and... Alextassa.
"The Grimbato on the map seems to be an underground fortress, but the terrain we are walking is getting higher and higher, as if we are climbing a mountain."
Ten meters away, five short guys were discussing their itinerary. He had previously said that it was impossible for him to act alone. In extraordinary times, he always needed several people around him to help him.
"I have found a lot of traces of dragons here, maybe somewhere is the dragon's nest."
"Are you sure we can get close to them? We cannot expose it. This is the original words of the master."
They were still talking. Nathanos kept quiet, and the letter was kept in custody by him. Judging from the contents of the letter, Grot already knew what he was like now. Secondly, the orcs were in control of his whereabouts, and it was really surprising to know that he was in the Arachi Highlands. The Withering One judged that someone should have revealed something to Grot.
"You five..." Nathanos shouted and followed his guards. They were indeed a little noisy, and now the Withered One himself needs a quiet atmosphere. "Go and draw a topographic map of Twilight Heights, and try to find the red dragon's nest if possible."
"It may take a lot of time. Where should we go to meet you after we complete the task?" asked the leader of the five shorter men.
"After completing the task, you don't have to come to me again. Go back to the desolate land and continue to complete the task I assigned to you a month ago."
"As for orders, master."
Now only Nathanos and his two withered dogs were left. He looked at the moon in the sky and calculated that the time to meet Grott was approaching. He really didn't expect that after so many years, the orc was still in the land where the Dragon Throat clan once enslaved the Red Dragon Queen. When the Forgotten Intelligence Organization was just established, Nathanos thought of trying to win over Grott to become an Orgrimmar's spy. After investigation, he found that not all orcs of the Dragon Throat clan had joined the tribe, and some of them were missing.
"Let's do it." Nathanos half-kneeled and stroked his pets with both hands. The withered dogs responded to their owners with trembling bodies. "As guests, you can't wait too long."
………
Grot slowly walked towards the beast railing. He was carrying a bulging blood-stained sack on his back.
The beast pen was covered with straw, and "captives" were imprisoned.
The captives were all sleeping at the beginning. But when Grot came over, they immediately woke up. There were four prisoners, both male and female. Each had a thick iron chain tied to the right front leg. They stared at the approaching old orcs with vigilant eyes, but as their noses smelled the bloody smell in the sack, they immediately knew what Grot had brought, and they rushed excitedly, making cheerful screams, and kept shaking their little tails. These were several young two-legged flying dragons.
"Take it slow, little guys, eat more." Grot encouraged them, "Speak less, don't let others hear it. This thing was not for you." He took out a piece of bloody flesh from the bag. The two-legged dragon cubs became even more crazy. After eating a piece of meat, they were obviously not satisfied and continued to shout in eagerness.
Grot looked at them, and after a while, he shook his head, muttered something to himself, and threw another piece of meat in. The two-legged dragon cubs immediately rushed over, scrambling to eat the sweet fresh meat. Grot continued to throw the meat to them. Soon, all four children began to chew. The youngest of them was almost the baby, and the largest one had wings in the center of the front and back legs.
Grott's face turned gray because of sadness. At this moment, a voice said why he had such an expression.
"Double-legged flying dragon? Has the dragon-throated orc started to kidnap Youzai again?"
"Who?" Grot was startled by the hoarse and low voice, and his hair stood up when he turned around and saw the other party's scarlet eyes.
"Didn't you invite me?" The mysterious man suddenly appeared pulled down his hood. The two-legged flying dragon cubs that Grot was still comforting just now immediately calmed down and they shivered in the corner of the beast clan and shivered. They were also creatures and knew they were afraid.
"Are you... Nathanos?" Grot took a step back and took a breath. He still remembered the name. Nathanos Maris, once a member of the league and a cunning human. Grott believes that anyone who touches him will think he is a very difficult opponent. Now he is dead and has become an undead.
It seems that many things have happened over the years.
"I should kill you just by calling my name," said Nasano. His withered dogs looked at the orcs with gritted teeth. As long as the owner gave the order, they would remove Grott from eight pieces.
"How did you come in?"
The Withered looked a little disappointed, "The guards at the camp gate are sleeping lazy."
These words made Grott feel a heat on his cheek. "Anyway, you're here."
"So do you know why I'm here?"
The orc looked around and said, "This is not a place to speak."
They came to a wooden house near the coast of Longthroat Camp, and the sound of the waves just covered their voices.
"I want to declare one thing," said the Orc. "My job is to feed and take care of those dragon cubs. I won't torture the kids."
"I don't care." Nasano said sitting on the haystack on the ground.
Grott also sat down. The two looked at each other, preparing for a long talk like an old friend who had not seen each other for many years.
“It’s time to answer my question.”
"That's too much to say." Grot sighed. "I've been to the Arachi Heights, and I have to say that I didn't expect you to lead an army of undead."
"I didn't expect you to work as a nanny." Grott was not angry at Nasano's sarcastic response. "I like this job, at least I don't have to kill or something."
"I didn't hear the answer, Orc."
After a brief silence, Grot began to whisper to Nathanos about his experience. The Withered One listened quietly, without interrupting his story at all, but occasionally opened his eyes a few times.
