Chapter Thirty-Three - Scar of Maris Farm
…………
"I'm going!" Belorel pleaded with Fiona's sleeve. The other party sighed and wanted to say something, but was snatched by Jidwin.
"It seems we've brought back a trouble on the way."
"Alawi, you don't know how dangerous the Maris Farm is." Fiona glanced at the power of attorney. "This reward was issued by Lord Maxwell of Silver Dawn. It has been around for a long time."
Bellorier thought of the undead, wondering if he would be the reason why everyone was afraid of. "Is there any danger there?"
"No one knows."
The answer came from Tarenna's mouth, but Belorel was surprised. He acted even more curious than before.
"Everyone who has been to that place is dead." The Blood Elf Paladin pinched the sharp beard on his chin. "Silver Dawn has sent people to investigate the place many times, but no one has returned. Maris Farm was also rebelled by the Chapel to make a forbidden area. Even so, Lord Maxwell still wanted to figure out what was hidden there, so he issued a reward."
"Isn't anyone taking on this mission?"
Jidwin laughed, as if he was laughing at Bellorir, and as if he was laughing at those who had received the reward. "But as Tarenna said, no one returned. At first, this mission was only fifty gold, but now it has increased to one thousand gold."
While the three of them were talking, Fiona remained silent. She hoped that Gidervin and Tarenna could use words to make the elf boy's face show fear, but Belorel's emotions did not change at all except being more curious.
"So there must be something in that place. I want to investigate it clearly."
Jidwin's nasal cavity made a heavy breathing sound, and the little ghost in front of him was the most stubborn and ignorant of the heavens and earth he had ever seen. If he had not been a member of the Holy Light Wish Chapel, he could not ignore the death of a life, he would not have cared about the child he had just met. The dwarf shouted, "Are you crazy? Or did you steal the wine Fiona put on the carriage? Didn't you hear Tarenna and me just now?"
"I know exactly what I'm doing?" Bellorier fired back, "I want to find the answer. This answer may have something to do with my father. I...I don't even know who he is."
Belloriel lowered his head, and the dwarf's anger disappeared in an instant, replaced by sympathy and a hint of guilt.
"So, do you have any clues that your father left you was related to Maris Farm, right?" Fiona asked.
"No, my mother told me that my father had sacrificed since I was born."
"Did your father die at Maris Farm?"
Bellorell shook his head, "He died in the battle of Quel'thalas against the devastations."
"What's your father's name?"
"I..." Belorel was stuck. The atmosphere at this moment was very awkward for him. Under the gaze of everyone, he slowly shook his head, "I don't know."
"I really can't figure it out, has your mother never told your father's name?"
"No, she never told me anything about my father."
"It seems that you can't blame you for not being clear-headed." Jidwen muttered.
"So, how did you know that your father had a relationship with Maris Farm?"
Bellorell was almost driven crazy by endless questions. He tried his best to cover up his impatience, and he could not answer Tarenna's questions. Because once he took out the map with clues, it was equivalent to exposing his identity - the back of the map was the eagle wing pattern of the Windrunner family.
Perhaps seeing that Belorel had a hard time, Fiona was not waiting for the boy to make up an answer, she said, "Let's go eat something first before talking about it. Food will make your tongue more flexible."
...
Lilian Voss couldn't breathe.
Her eyes were closed, and in the dark she could feel safe and relaxed, but if she wanted to sleep, she was just a waste of time.
Under the heavy pressure, the bare tree could just bear her weight. She slowly used her nose to catch the gas around her - she would do it in less than fifteen minutes, and nodded. There was no abnormal smell, nor weak, spicy, corrosive gas. Lilian was worried at first that too many people died here would condense blood. Nathanos would not like this smell.
The body was buried under the ruins of Maris Farm. Over the years, some people who were ignorant of life and death have trespassed here.
Kill everyone who came here.
The Withered One's order always remembered that from the beginning, the Blood Crusaders and a few wandering undead creatures, but later the Silver Dawn and the Silver Northern Expedition Army. Lilian's dagger had already carved a trace of fear on the Eastern Plagueland.
Last time a well-equipped team came here, and they foolishly chose to camp here. After a few hours, when a drizzle made everything wet, blood light reflected from the ground around Maris Farm, dissipating in the already red-oriented land.
This is a relatively interesting battle.
At least now few people will disturb her. The more people die, the more people will know the dangers here.
Her hand reached into the sky. As a gust of cold wind blew, her skin felt the cold, mixed with the smell of decay of the land.
Then she blinked. She heard some low, crushing sound of the ground, it was the wheel!
Lilian's eyes opened, the process was not slow, but the darkness in front of her was fading away piece by piece.
"Oh? Another idiot is here to challenge me?" She gradually saw what was approaching. There were four people in the carriage. The sound of bottles and jars colliding was not like weapons, but like goods. The undead murmured: "A unarmed woman, an elf, and two paladins who don't even have war horses. Are they here to die?"
Lilian stood on the branch, holding one hand on the trunk, and the other had already clamped the dagger. It was dawning and she was worried about what to do in the new day.
The first thing that was hit was the two paladins, one tall and one short, posing in a posture of preparing for combat. However, Lilian could see the dwarf's face trembling under his helmet, and she took a lot of effort to take a breath.
Are these guys left in the Silver Northern Expedition Army? Lilian thought in disappointment, but soon her attention was attracted by the middle-aged woman driving the carriage.
