Chapter 5 - Cicada, Mantis, Oriole

…………

It took them half a day to get out of the north wind tundra and come to the Soracha Basin. The vibrant scene here makes it hard to believe that Northrend should have. The Blue Dragon Five-man team stopped by a river for a short rest, replenishing the water source while continuing to plan the way forward.

"We've gone halfway," Teregosa said to Uragus, "but I suggest we don't move forward in the form of a dragon for the next halfway."

"Why?" Uragus found it strange that without wings, they could only hike, which would be much slower and would take many detours.

"Our mission is crucial." Lulugos, who was standing beside him, objected: "Only the sooner you reach your destination, the safer the Focus Rainbow."

The female blue dragon shook her head. "I thought so at first, but when I flew away from the north wind tundra, you may not have noticed that many young races have discovered us, some of which are caravans of yaks, some are members of the Rende Society, and some adventurers. It seemed nothing originally, but several blue dragons flew straight to somewhere together. No matter how you think about it, it would make people feel that something had happened. Our traces are likely to attract others. In this way, if someone follows us and finally discovers the hiding place of Focus Rainbow... I can't imagine the consequences."

"Terregosa is right." Lulagosa is the only two female member of the team. She is younger than Terregosa, but her heart is as calm as her brother. "Safety is more important than completing tasks quickly. Although walking will make us tides and slower, we can avoid the attention of a considerable number of enemies. Moreover, if we are attacked from the ground, we can appear in the form of a dragon in just a blink of an eye. For those thieves who intend to ambush us, finding five dragons is simply a deathbed."

"That's it." Teregosa nodded, then looked at Uragus and sought the opinions of the longest in the team.

The blue dragon exhaled, then stretched its wings, and in an instant, the awe-inspiring giant beast disappeared. A middle-aged human man appeared in Uragos' original position. He smiled and said, "You are as smart as your brother, Teresa."

"In fact..." Teregosa also showed her elf mortal form, and only the two horns on her head could tell her identity. "Lulaggosa is even longer than I thought." She smiled at the blue dragon in her mouth, and the other party also became a young human woman. "It's so reassuring to have you here."

They continued to move forward. During this period, they were also obstructed by the local wolverines and wise men. However, as Lulagosa said, finding the five blue dragons was simply a death sentence. The group soon arrived at the Man Teng Valley.

"Be careful." Uragos walked ahead and led the way. "This place is suitable for setting up ambush, and the plants here are aggressive."

"There is no dangerous smell in the air unless the ambushers know how to avoid our sense of smell." Lulugoth said indifferently.

"With that being said, we still need..." The sharp arrow broke through the wind and interrupted Uragus's words. The older blue dragon fell to the ground in pain and twisted pain. Teregosa could clearly see the arrow that penetrated his throat.

They did not expect to be attacked.

"There are enemies!" Lulugoth roared, staring at the direction where the bow and arrow flew.

Before Teregosa could see Uragus's situation, she released an ice ball facing forward, barely distinguishing their outlines under the faint light. There were dozens of strong orcs here, especially those who could be useful in battle: stalkers, mages, and several other warriors that Teregosa was not familiar with.

"Short life species!" Lulugos roared angrily.

Next, a blood-cold battle cry sounded. "For the tribe!" The opponent had already launched an attack. Terregosa and his men quickly entered the defense preparations. The shouts of several blue dragons resounded throughout the Mantou Forest.

They were completely caught off guard. The possibility of attack was not without, but Teregosa did not expect the enemy to be prepared so perfectly. The other party reported to his home as soon as he came up. The tribe once helped protect the dragon against the Wings of Death in the Dragon Sleeping Temple, and had also faced other major threats on Azeroth. The brother Karegos often mentioned them, saying that they were not afraid of sacrifice, saying that they were noble, and some blue dragons had even chosen to integrate into the tribal society.

But why? But why do they do such a "noble" thing? There are only two reasons that Terregosa can think of, either this group of people attacked them under the banner of a tribe, or they are really from the tribe, and they are sure that they can defeat the Blue Dragon who escorts the Focus Rainbow, so there is no need to deliberately conceal the identity. Terregosa hopes that it is the former, but the reason is no longer important now. This group of robbers is not afraid of the Blue Dragon at all.

They were outnumbered, and they were surrounded by orcs wearing cloaks soaked in green leaf juice. Terregosa now understood why they could avoid the smell of the blue dragon. This must have been a long-planned ambush.

Terregosa used magic explosion technique to repel several enemies approaching her. Her thoughts were the same as those of her compatriots who were in a tough battle, hoping to find an opportunity to turn back to the blue dragon, otherwise their combat effectiveness would be greatly reduced. But soon, Terregosa became even more desperate. The casters among the enemies kept interrupting their spells, and even warlocks. The female blue dragon had already smelled the smell of magic spells.

A foolish orc rushed towards Terregosa himself and shouted, "Roar for Hell!" His simple military battle axe was knocked away by the blue dragon's spell, and shining in the air. Terregosa casts spell again. The chain mail on the orc cannot protect the spell from the attack. Under the huge force of one blow, his whole body flew far away.

"Dragon Throat Clan!" Terregosa saw the mark on the other party's battle robe clearly. At the same time, she no longer had doubts. It was really the tribe attacking them!

"Sister!" Lulagoth's scream was filled with horror and pain. Terregoth looked back and saw Lulagoth lying in a pool of blood.

"Kill them all!" Lulugos was hoarse in grief, and his blue eyes had turned red. Terregosa couldn't tell whether he was because of tears or anger. In short, even she had the same emotions now.

More and more spells attacked the enemy, but the other party gave back more. Lulagoth was attacked by several orcs, and the sharp axe blade cut into his body. When he died, the brother who cared about his sister was guarding Lulagotha.

Lulugoth was the most tenacious of them. Terregoth's throat was slashed, and the shouts of this companion could be heard as soon as he fell down. Soon the voice disappeared, and when a heavy object rolled to the ground, all resistance failed. The roar of the orcs' victory drowned out the dying Terregoth. She lay on the ground, struggling with one hand to block the blood that had spilled out from her neck. She knew that the focus rainbow had fallen into the hands of the executioner and began to move slowly, and something that his brother was worried about happened.

Pain and despair torture the Blue Dragon's consciousness. Teregosa wanted to call on Karegosa, hoping that he could come to save him, but the only thing that responded to her was the copper stench of blood. Karegosa was no longer a weaver, and he could not feel what was happening here. Teregosa's eyes stared at the only scene in front of her. Self-blame and fatigue consumed her last energy.

The most terrifying thing about the focus rainbow being taken away is not the terrible thing. What is terrible is that no one will know who took the magic weapon. If the focus rainbow is used for destruction, it is used for killing...

‘Please, who will save this situation?’ Teregosa prayed helplessly. She didn’t know how long she had lasted. At the last moment of death, she felt frightened and dizzy. She finally failed the mission of the Blue Dragon clan.

Terregosa closed her eyes and waited for the cold of death to take him away. Her body began to become light and fluttering... as if a pair of powerful giant claws were taking her out of this sad place.

...

"Aurelia."

In the snowy Northrend continent, the ice crown king Sichuan is still so cold and bleak. After the Lich King was defeated, he rarely stepped into this place. The metal surface of the bow and arrow in his hand reflected his face. This disgusting face was hard to see again. What made him even more disgusted was why? Why did he suddenly remember what happened many years ago? That past he should have forgotten came like a tide?

"ridiculous!"

The hoarse voice drowned in the cold air and took away his low laughter.

Suddenly, someone reminded him in his ear: "Master of the Withering, they are here!"

He stood up and looked at the crowd passing by below the valley. They were all well-equipped, including the wolf under their crotch, and the red flag with totem was particularly dazzling. He didn't want to attack these people, but unfortunately, these people had what he needed in their hands...

"Kill them all!"

...

"General?"

Sylvanas rubbed her confused eyes. On such a quiet night, she thought the anxious voice came from her dream. What's more, now she was lying on the bed in her dormitory. Who would disturb her at this time?

"What's wrong?" the female elf asked sleepily with her hands on the bed. Listening to the sound, it seemed that Jaina's personal guard Benn came to her.

"We caught a... guy." The night elf outside the door confused Sylvanas, "A extraordinary, but some special guy, he insisted on seeing you."

Sylvanas walked out of bed, took a cloak from the hanger, tidied his hair slightly and opened the door. Bern was wearing armor, making things look very serious.

"You have to be prepared, Ms. Jaina is here too." The night elf surprised the fair-skinned elf with a little warning tone, as if she was an enemy.

"Is that person an enemy?" Sylvanas asked.

The night elves replied without hesitation: "Yes, and it's hard for me to imagine our soldiers staying alive."

"He's from a tribe?"

The expression on Bene's face was a little difficult to figure out, and she shook her head. At first, Sylvanas thought that the person who came to find her was a blood elf messenger, and the one who could be called "enemy" and related to her might be Quel'thalas. But Bene denied this statement.

"He swaggered to our patrol guards, holding a document in his hand, saying it was for you. We asked him who delivered you a letter, and he only replied that it was one of your old friends."

Now Sylvanas woke up completely. She held her breath for a moment and pushed Bern away suddenly. She ran towards Jaina's mage tower before she even put on her shoes. Although she told herself that this was unlikely, her yearning for beautiful results would magnify the vague hope infinitely. For example, Sylvanas is like this now. In the eyes of others, she is like a little girl running on the beach. At her age, she is a bit rude.

A few minutes later, she rushed to the top of the mage tower without waiting for the guards to inform him. Jaina looked at her with surprise, and another great mage, Twash, was also there. They were all dressed neatly, which made the female elf feel a little embarrassed. But the figure immediately diverted Sylvanas's attention. Jaina's mage tower had a strange smell, an uncomfortable decay.

The Ranger of the Silver Covenant stared at the scent, although not the person she expected to see, but her heart had already reached her throat.

His body was extremely thin, and he was hidden under his wide robe, which seemed too thin compared to the guards around him. Sylvanas thought to himself that if the guards did not listen to his explanation, he might not even have a chance to resist.

The female elf glanced at Jaina, the mage nodded slightly, and said to the two guards: "Get back."

The guards looked a little angry, and they bowed together, then retreated.

The thin figure pulled down the hood. Sylvanas stared at the calm-looking undead.

"Ms. Sylvanas," he said, his voice as gloomy as his body. "My name is Flandis Farey. I am... a subordinate of your friend."

The female ranger didn't know how to reply for a moment. She knew who was coming to find her, but it was so sudden. "I know who you are talking about, and he... has something to say to me?"

"Not nostalgia, not greetings." Flandis took out the letter without any wrinkles and handed it to Sylvanas with both hands. "It's very important, so important that he must remind you personally, and..." He glanced at Jaina, "You probably have to share this news with the rulers of this city."

"What's the news?" Jaina asked, standing up.
