Chapter 17 - Arrival
...
"Release the wounded down immediately!" Sylvanas pointed at the dwarf in front of him whose arm was blown away by artillery fire. He was screaming, his face was covered in blood. There were too many female elfs seeing such a terrible scene. The moment she turned her eyes back to the battlefield, Sylvanas gritted her teeth and turned her head, and dodged a deadly arrow.
"Prepare to boil oil and fall wood, the tribe is about to approach the city wall."
"General! Incendiary bomb!"
A scream made General Ranger look up at the sky, dozens and hundreds of spinning shadows flew towards this side.
"Stop them!" Sylvanas immediately ordered, hoping that as many people as possible could hear her voice, whether it was a mage, an archer and a musketeer.
Fortunately, many people reacted, and most of the bottles containing igniting liquids were shot down.
"General!"
Sylvanas heard Lansber's voice. The adjutant was running through the chaotic city wall aisle. In the sight of the Ranger General, a bottle of incendiary bomb broke not far behind Lansber's back. The flames quickly spread to a cannon. The female elf saw with her own eyes that the gunner who controlled the cannon had been shot through his head by a bow and arrow. What was terrible was that there were several shells piled up beside the corpse.
"Idiot, lie down quickly." Sylvanas rushed over. The fire line of the shell had been ignited, and there were so many people around... General Ranger's heartbeat seemed to be frozen at this moment.
A loud bang, the vibration made the surrounding buildings tremble. Screams and painful shouts burned Sylvanas's mind like flames. She could not estimate that many people died under the explosion, and even she was tinnitus and dazed at this moment.
After finally supporting her body, Sylvanas coughed a few times, shaking off the gravel, dust, bright blood, and her skin mixed together. She could feel blood on her forehead sliding, but she didn't have time to care about her injuries.
"Are you crazy?" General Ranger pulled his adjutant from the dust. Lansber was obviously still a little unconscious. After a few shaking, he could at least tell that the person in front of him was his boss.
"Didn't I ask you to stare at the singer weaver?"
"He ran away." Lansber said weakly.
"What! You asked him to escape, why didn't you kill him directly?"
"We are not the Blood Crusader, General." Lansber was stunned. "You stipulate that the Silver Covenant cannot execute prisoners at will."
"Damn!" Sylvanas cursed, and she turned around to refocus on the gap caused by the explosion in the city wall, but two other engineers had already stepped forward to repair it, a human and a dwarf.
The Sun-Snatcher ran away and took away most of the defenses of Theramore, and he probably knew that the city was deploying teleportation spells. If Garrosh knew everything, he would definitely use the city-destroying bomb in advance.
"The singer weaver must be a spy from Hellscream. Go and tell Jaina that the tribe is going to..."
Before Sylvanas finished speaking, Lansber suddenly opened his eyes wide and pulled out his short sword to block the Ranger General. Sylvanas turned around and subconsciously kicked him before he could see who the other party was. The person who attacked them was a female orc with a scar on her face. She roared angrily at her mistake.
"Assassin! Has Garrosh fallen to this point?"
The female orc rushed up again. Her target was the Ranger General who was commanding the battle. Sylvanas had not used Queldra for a long time, but her swordsmanship was not affected by time. The female elf first avoided the assassin's fatal thrust, and then used a gorgeous sword to hit the female orc's dagger. When she stepped on the other party's calf and forced her to kneel down, she grabbed the fallen dagger and stabbed it accurately into the orc's neck. The assassin instantly became a corpse.
This battle is even more trivial and not worth caring too much. Sylvanas turned around and said to Lansber:
"Has Akazamanzarac succeeded?"
"He should be soon."
It's almost done? It means it's not successful yet. Sylvanas began to get anxious. Jaina had promised that Dalaran's mage would do his best to cast spells to protect Theramore from bomb damage. But what happened later? The power of the bomb detonation would definitely make the mages weak and useless, and may even become a burden. There were tens of thousands of troops in Hellscream. Once he saw that his weapon did not work, he would definitely order the entire army to attack. Theramore, without a spell barrier, could not resist such an attack at all.
Now we can only hope that Akazamanzarak can complete the spell before the bomb arrives.
"You go to the North Gate to inform Gianna that the singer weaver has rebelled, and Garrosh's airship is coming soon."
"As for orders, general."
After Lansber left, General Ranger began to rethink the assassin's question. She shouted: "There are assassins in the city, and shouted loudly!"
...
"Chief, the singer weaver is back."
Hellscream's ears moved and turned to see Malkauroke. "Our Blood Elves friend seemed to have accomplished his mission and brought him."
When Garrosh saw the silver-haired blood elf standing in front of him, he nodded. The other party had the smell of smoke and dust on his body, which meant that he had fought. "Your loyalty is worthy of praise, Saren. Now tell your chief that you have heard of any important information?"
Hellscream originally thought the singer weaver would tell him where the Weaver was the weakness of Theramore, or how many troops the Heramore still has. But Saren frowned: "They seem to know your plan."
For a moment, Malkauroke was stunned, and the orc of Marghan who heard this was the first to react and suddenly moved forward. Then he grabbed Bain's wrist with his powerful palm. The force forced the singer weaver to twist his body sideways to relieve the pain.
"What do you mean?"
Saren grinned and explained, knowing that the sooner the chief would let go of the situation. "Theramore knows your plan. They are planning to arrange a teleportation array to send all the people in the city away."
"Telection!" Garrosh chewed the word repeatedly, as if he was tasting its taste. His face leaned closer to Saren and asked, "How could they know?"
"I don't know."
Hellscream's body was tense, obviously angry because he couldn't get the answer, but in the end he let go of the singer weaver. After all, without the information of the Blood Elf, he might still be confused in the dark now.
"They are going to run away, Chief."
"I heard it!" Hellscream turned around and glared at the Black Stone Orcs. "They can't run away. I want everyone to take a good look and see what the guys who resist the will of the tribe chief will end up."
He raised his blood roar high and headed towards the sky.
Behind the tribal army, roars came from the air, and the sound became more and more intense, approaching the direction of Theramore. A huge goblin airship slowly came, and the airship came out with a huge ball.
Hellscream continued to shout: "It took a lot of hardships to attract the Seventh Legion of the Alliance, and the disobedients of Dalaran. There are so many soldiers, so many warships, and so many outstanding generals in the Alliance. This is a great opportunity to completely eliminate them."
Then another voice sounded, from the representative of the Taurus Dezko, "Garrosh!", the clamoring orc stopped.
"Are you crazy?" Dezko shouted, "Our soldiers are still on the front line, and they have not retreated yet!"
What the Taurus had never expected was that Hellscream actually started to laugh, and the low snicker gradually turned into crazy laughter. "Idiot, what's the problem of sacrificing one or two for victory?"
Dezko was completely shocked. The troll governor Voras behind him even fell to the ground.
Garrosh laughed again, this time he seemed to be laughing at Bain and Woking for not being able to witness the moment.
The airship flew over his head.
"Now, go and level it!"
The bloody roar pointed at Theramore.
...
"No. In that case, Hellscream will know the defense of Theramore." Jaina looked at Lansber with a blood-faced look. She was very grateful to the Silver Covenant soldiers for reporting the news of the betrayal of the Sun-robber in time. But the result undoubtedly made Theramore's predicament worse.
Kardag walked behind Jaina. “Isaas said that the singer weaver had great insights in the study of defense magic, which I never expected.”
Jaina turned around and was filled with unconcealed complaints and blame, but the words she said were exactly the opposite: "I believe that Master Isaac, the singer weaver deceives far more than you and him."
"Indeed," said Kadega bitterly. "This is undoubtedly a heavy blow to Kenreto."
No one expected that the members of Kenreto would suddenly rebel. Was it a temporary intention or had been planning for a long time? Jaina couldn't figure it out and was addicted to anger and suspicion. It was not until Kadega pushed her that the female mage was shocked to realize the sound of the wind turbine echoing in her ears. She just looked up and opened her eyes wide in horror.
"It's that bomb!"
"Damn!" Kardga cursed, "How could the tribe chief be...didn't he care about the soldiers who stayed outside the walls of Theramo?"
Jaina's heart tightened and her feet staggered. In the original plan, they believed that the tribe would have strange actions before using terrible weapons, such as blew the withdrawal order. As long as this happens, the mages of Kenretto will immediately arrange defensive nodules, at least the time for the tribe to retreat is enough for them to complete the spell.
But Hellscream didn't do that.
"Crazy, he must be crazy!" Prodmore shouted at the approaching airship in a stern voice.
…………
Akazaman Zarak was sweating profusely and even began to tremble all over. He firmly believed that other people who helped complete the spell together were as weak as him. But the mission had been completed. Theramore was in the teleportation range, and the next thing was to wait for the orders of General Ranger.
The goblin sat on the ground and was about to drink a sip of water to replenish his magic power, but the sound of the airship turbine was so shocking that he spit out the water that he had not swallowed.
He looked back at the sky. The machinery created by his compatriots was almost approaching the walls of Theramo, and the things carried on them were the most terrifying.
"No!" This crazy scene made Akazaman Zarak jump from the ground. He had only one idea - to activate the magic circle immediately, otherwise he would die and everyone would die.
The great wizard Waggs, who was far away on the other side of Theramo, was also frightened by the arrival of the goblin airship. Immediately, the magic array formed by magic runes in front of him sounded. The teleportation spells were all coherent, and one area was activated to remind the magic array in other areas. Waggs immediately reacted and recited the spell to activate the magic array. Originally, he wanted to find out where the magic was teleported, but now he had to fight for survival.
Almost all the Covenant Mages responsible for setting up spells took action. Even if they did not receive the orders of General Ranger, they could still imagine what Sylvanas would do if they were.
The female elf also knew what her soldiers were thinking. She had already stared at the sky with wide eyes. "Hurry up, take everyone away!"
Intuition told her that it was too late. The airship had arrived above Jaina's Mage Tower, which was the center of Theramore, and the power of the bomb would also affect the entire city from then on.
"Nathanos." Sylvanas murmured this name.
...
There is nothing on the sea.
When the wither looked back, his vision was still blocked by the fog. Although he had already stepped onto the land, he still felt as if someone was calling him in the moment.
What's amazing is that his guess is absolutely correct. The fog on the continent under his feet does not permeate the land, but surrounds it, like a barrier to prevent outsiders from approaching.
And there is another world inside the barrier.
The sunlight looked very warm and not dazzling. Nathanos's eyes were full of confusion. He had been to the Eastern Kingdoms, to Kalimdo, and Northrend. Although these three continents he had set foot on were different, he could still find some similarities. But the place in front of him...
Green and green. Nathanos could see that the woodland he was in was filled with the breath of life. The slender "trees" with some leaves rose up from the ground, and there were pointed plants below, which were a bit like corn. What's more amazing is that when he looked up, he found that there were long winding bridges on the mountains in the distance, connecting the cliffs.
"Is the wisdom of the Panda people crystallized? Interesting." Nathanos stayed for a while and walked into the woodland. He knew that this continent was thanks to Rashio. The whereabouts of the Black Dragon Prince are now unknown.
Will he come to this place too? The wither couldn't help but wonder, after all, he allowed himself to see the world behind the fog. And there were things he urgently needed here. It was also the reason why he came here alone from thousands of miles away.
