Chapter Thirty-Four - Stalemate
…………
"Special? It's a general answer."
"Whatever you think." Sylvanas walked into the house without a sound.
Sylvanas stayed here for two days. She was very good at dealing with people. She gave Stephen a gold coin and told him that if he wanted to become a knight in the future, he could buy a long sword to use it. Nathanos convinced his mother and asked her to take Stephen to live with Lordaeron and Sally, and he stayed to take care of the farm himself. On the same day Daphne left, Sylvanas also received news from the Tower of Wind Walker. Nathanos stood in the distance and watched the female elf talking to several rangers. After the interview, Sylvanas walked towards him.
"Are you leaving?"
"After a while."
Nathanos nodded and handed her a package in his hand. "Some food you can use on the way."
Sylvanas weighed it, not very heavy, and smiled at him and said, "Thank you, at least I won't be hungry."
"Will you come again?" asked Nathanos. The female elf looked at him in surprise, and her heart was filled with doubts, and then she was overwhelmed by a burst of pleasure. "Maybe, you can't bear to leave me?"
"No." Nathanos shook his head and added: "I just don't know if I'm still here next time you come here."
"You're leaving?"
"I don't know either, but after experiencing my father's affairs, I'm increasingly unable to grasp what will happen in the future."
Sylvanas said nothing, looked at the two rangers in the distance, and gestured to them to wait for a while.
"Just don't think about it, Nathanos." The female elf said coldly, like a teaching.
"Thank you." Nathanos was not looking at her: "If you can, you should probably strengthen the defense of Yongge Forest."
"What does it mean?" Sylvanas suddenly became serious. Why did the human in front of him suddenly say these things?
"Nothing, it's just a suggestion." Nathanos replied. Since he knew Zujin was still alive and confirmed that the Forest Trolls joined the tribe, he guessed that the tribe would definitely introduce war into Quelcelas in the near future. But the question is, will anyone believe him?
"Since you don't want to say more, I won't ask again, I will consider it."
He smiled: "The journey is safe, the wind walker."
On the way to and from the Wind Walker Tower, Sylvanas was in a daze, and her thoughts were still stuck in the ordinary farm.
"I have never seen you value a man so much, a general, and a human being."
Sylvanas came to his senses and replied, "He is different from others, Anya. I had such intuition when I first met him, and I believe in my judgment."
"But he has refused to join us for the second time. He is a human being after all. He will not let go of prejudice and serve Quelcelas." Ranger Anya expressed his opinion, and the other Rangers agreed.
"It's actually the third time, and Aurelia has invited him." General Ranger laughed twice.
"Then you still..."
"I don't need him to serve Silver Moon City, I just need him to be loyal to me."
In the Alliance barracks
Turayan sat at the campfire inside the tent, but he was naked and wearing only a pair of tan linen pants. His armor and warhammer were aside, and he was baking with a piece of cold and hard bread. Today's bread was a little smaller than yesterday.
"Turayan." Kadega came to him, and the great wizard's face looked not very good and he looked a little tired.
"Kadja, what happened?"
"No, not. It's just a rare time to chat with you." Kardga smiled, and he brought two bottles of beer from the dwarf. He sat next to Tulayan and handed him a bottle.
"Thank you." Turayan said, exhausted him from the continuous battles these days, and he cherished his short rest time now.
"You seem to be worried, Turayan." Kadega looked at him with fun. No matter when, this old-fashioned mage had the energy and fun that other mages did not have.
"Me? How is that possible?"
"Let me guess, is it about that beautiful elf lady?"
"Who said it!" Tulayan suddenly stood up, his face turned red, and hesitated: "I'm just... worried...."
"Don't be nervous." Cadegala sat down. "Aleria was not injured."
"No, I don't mean that." Turayan quickly shook his hand and explained, "What I worry about is this war." The paladin's face gradually recovered, and Kadega also put away his joke. "What are you worried about?"
"Worrying whether we can win, Kadega." Tulayan drank a sip of the wine: "If I had confidence in this before the war began, we would fight against tyranny on behalf of justice, but now, after so many battles, I am gradually not as confident as before."
“What changed your mind?”
"Sacrifice." Turayan replied simply: "There are also things that the tribes displayed on the battlefield, those huge catapults, their warlocks, and...."
"There are those death knights?" Kadega asked, Tulayan stopped talking, as accusation. Both of them still remembered this new enemy. When the black warhorse appeared on the battlefield, the soldiers of the alliance felt only fear. The dark purple breath made the surrounding vegetation wither, and the dark magic they released was more destructive than their warlocks. If it weren't for the Paladins of the Knights of the Silver Hands to resist, the alliance would have been defeated long ago.
"Blood Demon!" Tulayan clenched his fists. He still remembered the leader of the Death Knight who was confronting him head-on. The Holy Light gave him the power to defeat Talon Blood Demon, but his soldiers were already dead.
"You've become stronger, Turayan." Kadega said suddenly, and the Paladin looked at him in confusion.
"I was a novice in front of me a few months ago, but now you can stand alone, and Lotha said the same."
"Ha! Don't praise me. If I could do a better job, we wouldn't have suffered such a big loss."
"This is not your responsibility, Turayan. Wars are all about to die, I have seen them once." Kadega recalled Stormwind City, and believed that the current losses of the alliance are definitely not as good as those of the already destruction Storm Kingdom.
The Paladin looked at him and looked outside the tent, and the other soldiers were resting. "This picture is so familiar."
Kardga didn't know what he was talking about at first, but he looked along his gaze and nodded. "It was exactly the same as when we were sneak attacked."
"I remembered the young man named Nathanos, who was several years younger than me, but his vision surpassed me."
"I heard that King Terenas has started recruiting again?" Kardga asked.
"Yes, all the soldiers have already gone to the front line, and we have no power behind us."
Kadega thought for a while: "Maybe we will meet the man who entered the military camp again in the future."
tribe
Orgrim has been staring at the strategic distribution map for two hours. His deputy, Red, doesn't even know what he is looking at, and what else on the battlefield he doesn't know?
"We have been in a stalemate with humans for two months?" asked the Hammer of Destruction.
"As you said, the Great Chief. We have not been able to move forward in two months."
"I know this." Orgrim looked at the blue coordinates of the alliance on the map angrily. Their Paladins and mages caused them great trouble. Thinking of Paladin Orgrim's anger immediately rose, and the guys holding the warhammer effectively restrained his Death Knight.
