Chapter 21 - The Four Kings

…………

"It's embarrassing to lose to you, but it doesn't matter. It's time for me to look for the next body. Death is just a window."

The troll priest laughed after being defeated, and his soul flew out of his body and quickly disappeared from sight.

Nathanos had something to ask him, but he walked too fast.

"It seems that the trolls are planning some big action." Sylvanas also noticed that the troll corpses on the ground came from different tribes.

"There are conflicts between the trolls, but now they have joined forces." Nathanos threw away most of the blood from the sword and glanced naturally at the corpse of a Zandala troll. "I'm very glad that I didn't see the Dark Spear Troll. They probably rejected the proposal of union."

"Not that comforting, they're still working for Hellscream."

When talking about Garrosh, Nathanos would think of Aurelia from time to time. What would she do under the rule of darkness? It seemed to have nothing to do with him, and the Withering One tried hard to drive the elf lady away from her mind.

"We continue to go deeper, the sooner we get the clock, the faster we can get out of here."

The brief rest could not reverse the situation where three monks withdrew from the injury. The only good news was that the trolls helped them blow up the door to another room. The only thing that caused might have disturbed the guards inside.

Sylvanas suddenly thought of something. "Since this is the treasure house of Mogu Mountain, then the ancient kings of Mogu should have put their treasures here."

"Maybe it's not just a treasure." Nathanos did not look back. The female elf expressed confusion about his words. Only the Withered One knew that when he came to the Holy Platform of Mogu Mountain, he heard a voice.

At first the sound was unaware of it and was disturbed by the wind, but every step the wither went deeper, the melody he heard became clearer. Even the bomb thrown by the troll could not cover up the sound.

Others must have not heard of it, otherwise someone would mention it.

What exactly summoned him?

Looking at Nathanos who was in thought, Sylvanas couldn't help but worry. Why didn't he express his doubts? Was he worried that she wouldn't be able to help, or did he not want her to participate?

After spending the first three battles, Zhou Zhuo, a scholar, seemed even more excited. When he came to the secret room of the ancient kings, he even cheered. Without waiting for Nathanos and the monks to confirm whether there was any abnormality, he strode and jumped around.

"It's really surprising here." Sylvanas walked down the stairs, and the displays around her forced her to temporarily move her eyes away from Nathanos.

A large number of secret walls were carved in the secret room of the ancient kings. On the walls of the corridors that came in were murals from the Mogu war. People can send harmonious echoes when stepping on the carefully carved marble floor.

How much manpower, material resources and financial resources did the Mogu tribe spend to build this treasure house that is almost like a palace?

Nathanos half-kneeled and looked back at their steps as they walked in. The places where the shoes were stepped on were renovated, while the other places had thick dust.

"It's strange that no one has been here for a long time. There are active Mogu tribes everywhere in Pandaria. Why don't they come back here and take out these treasures?"

"Maybe their king gave the order not to enter the treasure house," Sylvanas said.

Nathanos reluctantly accepted this reason. He still had questions. The secret room where the treasures were stored was not hidden, and Zhou Zhuo jumped and did not trigger any mechanism. Compared with the puppet lion group and the damned demon seal at the beginning, there were no guards in the most important place.

The wither knocked on the ground again, without obvious echoes.

"It's not right here," he said, shook the dust on his hands. "The secret room where the ancient kings of the past dynasties store treasures is too conspicuous. It's like the things here are deliberately displayed for outsiders. If someone really covets the treasures come here and sees so many valuable things, they will definitely take them away as much as possible."

"When greed is satisfied, no one will continue to explore the secrets in the treasure house." Sylvanas nodded. "A very good trick."

"There is another possibility," Nathanos added, "that is, the treasure house builders are sure that those who come here cannot get out."

Sylvanas gave him a little angry look.

Compared to the intention of the treasure house builder, the voice made Nathanos care more. In the empty secret room, he could not tell where the sound came from, only knowing that it was much clearer than before.

"The Withered, the dark squares here are locked and cannot be opened."

While the undead and the female elf were analyzing, the remaining panda monks and Zhou Zhuo were not idle either. They tried hard to open a secret wall and see what was inside, but they found nothing.

"There is no key hole in the dark grid, which means it is controlled by the mechanism. Find out if there is anything around that can be triggered."

"Here!" Zhou Zhuo's voice attracted everyone's attention. "There is a button here."

How come there is only one? Nathanos and Sylvanas were confused at the same time. It is impossible to use only one button to control all dark grids. If a demonic man wanted to take out a treasure, would he still have to open all dark grids?

Nathanos sounded his own words: The treasure house builder is sure that those who come here cannot get out.

"Don't press!" He and Sylvanas said in unison.

It was too late, and the scholar traveler easily pressed down the hidden and stone brick mechanism on the wall.

With a loud rumbling, the light in the surrounding brazier dimmed. Countless words appeared on the surface of the dark grid in the form of blue fluorescence.

"It's the words of the Mogu clan." Zhou Zhuo threw Nathanos's words just now out of the sky and immersed in the new surprise of discovery.

"Look around!"

Nathanos turned around and the four teams of different appearances appeared.

"Damn it, look at what you did." Sylvanas glared at Zhou Zhuo.

The eyes of scholars traveling were full of apology, but they could not see regret. "Sorry, but I want to reveal the truth of history."

"What do those words write?" Nathanos asked, while carefully observing the magic ghosts that appeared. Although they had no flesh and blood, the weapons in their hands were real swords and guns.

"The road behind is blocked." A monk reminded.

Sylvanas felt nervous. On the stairs when he came, several Mogu, who were holding strong bows and crossbows, were responsible for holding hands and blocking the intruder's retreat.

"I understand." Zhou Zhuo said. "This is the record of the four kings of the Mogu tribe."
