Chapter 49 - Awakening

…………

The painful wail penetrated Sylvanas Windrunner's eardrums, and she was trapped in this silent and bleak world. She could feel the chill of the air scratching her cheeks and skin, constantly entangled and scratched.

Her light blonde hair.

There was another heart-rending scream, as if it came from hell. She had already heard that the voice was coming from Nathanos, and the person she cared about most was being tortured somewhere.

The feeling of being anxious was uncomfortable, but because of this anxiety, Sylvanas still refused to give in. She searched frantically, traveling through the dark land, while constantly calling Nathanos.

The man did not give instructions. Despair slowly caught up with Sylvanas. Later, even the wailing stopped, her expectations were disappointed, the female elf stopped, and then fell to her knees with a thud.

No matter how much she shouted, no one responded.

Suddenly, a dirty and evil shadow surged out from the dead land under her feet, covering her in an instant. The surging shadow formed an icy claw, gripping Sylvanas's body tightly, and slowly lifted her up.

Off the ground. Her arms and legs were also restrained. Her neck was also pinched by a hand, almost making it impossible for her to breathe. She twitched her body and struggled continuously...

During the process of extreme suffocation, she saw two figures appearing in the churning shadows, and their shapes were vaguely visible. One of them was a huge figure, hidden in the darkness, with shackles all over his body, and only his eyes were burning with blue flames.

; Another person was in the same situation as her, his whole body was wrapped in darkness, and his eyes became dull in pain. Slowly, twisted black veins extended from his neck, and his face gradually became pale and dilapidated. His eyes were lifeless.

A bright red light emitted. At the end, the man's closed fists unclenched.

Nathanos is about to surrender!

"don't want!"

Sylvanas screamed, and then she woke up with her own scream. She lay on the bed and twisted so violently that the bed frame creaked. But at this time, a soft hand tightened

He held her shoulders firmly, bringing her warmth and security, and Sylvanas finally woke up from that terrible dream.

Jaina's face that was so familiar to her comforted her. Most of the fear in the nightmare disappeared in an instant.

"You finally woke up." Ms. Theramore cried with joy, her eyes shining brightly.

After a few gasps, Sylvanas recognized that this was her apartment in Theramore. Before she could recover, she caught a glimpse of Jaina nodding excitedly from the corner of her eye, and then their eyes met.

"You have been asleep for a long time, Sylvanas. We thought you would never wake up again."

The nightmare just now still made the female elf's heart beat faster. The scary thing was that she remembered all the details in the dream and was convinced that the person she saw was Nathanos.

"Where is he?"

The very weak sound made Jaina heartache, and the female mage also understood that Sylvanas was referring to Nathanos.

"Nathanos is not here. He is far away."

Lordaeron is not far from here. Jaina's words made Sylvanas even more worried about what happened while she was sleeping.

Jaina noticed Sylvanas's dazed look in her wild thoughts, and comforted her: "Don't worry, he will be fine."

"That means he is putting himself in danger? Do you have any news about him?"

When Jaina realized this, she regretted mentioning Nathanos. She sighed softly. She also hoped to tell Sylvanas more things, but the female elf had just woken up and was not ready.

Face it all.

"No one in this world knows what the Forsaken King is doing." Jaina comforted softly, "Did you have a nightmare? It doesn't matter, it was just a dream."

Her heart was heating up, and Sylvanas almost stood up, "You don't know what I dreamed about."

"Then forget about it. You finally woke up. Please, don't focus on the present. I believe Nathanos will not let you intervene."

"No," Sylvanas responded in a deep voice, and the action of lifting the quilt suggested that she could not wait for a moment. "I want to find out what happened now."

Jaina couldn't persuade her, so she simply asked someone to bring her food, and promised her that as long as she filled her stomach, she would tell her everything that had happened recently.

After devouring a few mouthfuls of food, Sylvanas walked out of her apartment accompanied by the female mage.

It seems like hundreds of years have passed here.

Theramon is heavily guarded, with soldiers patrolling intersections, stables, docks and other places. Many civilians are queuing up at the entrance of the barracks to sign up. The air is boiling as the furnace works day and night.

Sylvanas had only seen such nervousness during Garrosh's invasion of Theramore.

"Are you planning a war?"

"A lot has happened during this period, and I have too much to tell you."

Sylvanas growled lowly, her eyes full of confusion and loneliness. When she woke up, she felt as if things were different.

"At Baihu Temple..."

Jaina took Sylvanas' arm, led her to the mage tower, and told Sylvanas the truth in the most concise language.

"Nathanos did not join the battle in the White Tiger Temple. He disappeared the moment the incident happened. When he came back, he took you with him in a comatose state. Do you still remember what happened?"

She couldn't remember, it seemed like a very important piece of her memory was missing.

There are several more maps in the Mage Tower than before. One of them is a map of the outer world, with routes drawn on it. The other is the Cursed Land, with blue and red markings placed on the crimson land. Alliance

Each tribe has its own area, which is very different from what Sylvanas remembers.

They are not fighting for it. From a geographical point of view, their garrison and defenses are like a horn, with their troops pointing directly at the Dark Portal.

The people discussing those maps were all Theramore's military generals.

"What happened?" Sylvanas saw the tense atmosphere and subconsciously asked the officers.

Seeing her waking up, the officers were also surprised. Gianna standing aside winked. They all saluted and continued their work.

Jaina turned around and pulled Sylvanas towards another long table, with a worried look on her face. "Arch Mage Khadgar reminded us that Garrosh returned to the past Outland through the time tunnel, and there was a man named Dra.

No's world. He changed history and prepared to assemble an entire orc tribe to invade Azeroth."

"So Nathanos also went to Draenor in advance, right?" Sylvanas knows Nathanos better than anyone else. Facing the upcoming challenges, Nathanos will always prepare in advance.

Good everything.
