Chapter 29 - Alchemy

…………

"Dalaran Potions and Materials" is an alchemy book popular throughout the human kingdom. Among all people, only mages are the most proficient in alchemy, because when they have nothing to do, they will stay in their own place to experiment, study magic or refine.

Potion. Nathanos sat in the corner of the library, flipping through the pages. Except for help

There are potions that restore wounds and magic power, as well as potions that improve certain attributes, such as strength, agility and intelligence. However, this potion has a flaw. After the effect of the potion wears off, the user will be in a period of weakness, and all abilities will be lost.

Decrease in a short period of time. If this agent is used on the battlefield, it is likely to harm the user.

Each potion has its own level. All the potions recorded on the tree only reach the fifth level. Going higher, only the magicians know what level it is. Nathanos himself has been experimenting for several months.

Many times, he couldn't count how many explosions occurred during the process, but fortunately, he had mastered the appropriate amount of herbs to put in the process of refining the medicine.

"Nathanos?"

Someone was calling him? It was a girl. Nathanos heard the call and went over. Standing at the door of the library was a girl with a delicate face. She was also holding a three- or four-year-old boy, who should be his younger brother.

Nathanos looked at him and thought of Stephen.

The girl's makeup and clothing indicated that she was a noble and of high status. Nathanos knew how to talk to her.

"Are you calling me?" Nathanos looked away for a moment. The other person was younger than him. He always thought it was rude to call the other person this way, but he still said: "Ms."

The other person covered his mouth and smiled, obviously he was amused. Nathanos was very frustrated. He felt like a fool now. No, this word was not accurate.

"Did I say something wrong?" Nathanos asked.

The girl shook her head and suppressed her smile: "No, it's just that you suddenly became very serious, which made me find it very interesting. I thought only my father or Lord Uther would be like this, but you seem to be his student, I can

understand."

"The instructor is not what you think. He is very easy-going. It's just that on certain occasions, he must abide by etiquette."

"Like now?"

Nathanos had a look of surprise on his face. Indeed, it seemed that he was too nervous. There was no need for them to abide by the etiquette of adults when no one was around.

"I don't know your name yet."

"My name is Calia Menethil, and this is my brother, Arthas Menethil."

"Princess and prince, are they here?" Nathanos asked in surprise.

Calia thought that Nathanos would bow to her like everyone else after hearing her identity, and then say some polite words, but he didn't. He just stayed where he was, asking with his eyes why he was here.

"This is normal, isn't it? This is my home, and of course I have the right to be here."

"No, that's not what I meant. I think the princess should appear in a more exquisitely decorated place. This place is too ordinary. There is nothing else except books."

Calia nodded and told Nathanos that she was just taking her brother around.

"I've heard about you, the boy who miraculously survived from the snowy mountains. Your story is like a fairy tale."

"Thank you for your compliment, Your Highness Princess." Nathanos glanced elsewhere, then looked at Calia's face and asked tentatively: "Your Highness Princess, have we met somewhere?"

Caliya smiled: "Do you remember? Two years ago, you were sitting in the corner reading a book. I asked you what a ranger was, but you ran out."

"Really?" Nathanos seemed to have such a memory in his mind, but he couldn't remember it clearly, or he didn't want to recall it. "It was really a long time ago."

"Nathanos, I heard my father mention you. He said that you must be a warrior in Lordaeron in the future."

"I don't think so. In fact, I haven't thought about what I will do in the future. Maybe I will choose to go home and spend my life on my father's farm."

"You're kidding." Calia glanced at Alsace with a smile. "Look, my brother doesn't believe what you say."

The little prince of Lordaeron was looking at Nathanos curiously.

"His Royal Highness is the warrior of Lordaeron."

"Father cares about Alsace very much. He may let Uther teach Alsace in the future."

"Really?" Nathanos turned his attention to Arthas again. He seemed to see himself two years ago. Perhaps by the time Arthas could hold the sword, he would have already left here.

"It is an honor for me to be able to study in the same school as His Highness the Prince."

Calia nodded. Arthas didn't understand what they were talking about, but this place was too quiet, which made the boy uncomfortable. He took his sister's hand hard and signaled that he wanted to go somewhere else.

"I have to go," Caliya said.

After saying goodbye to her, Nathanos was left alone. When he saw Arthas's face, countless images flashed through his mind. He saw the ice and snow around him, heavy snow falling from the sky, and a gray sky ahead.

, but he was running in the snow, looking for something. It was only a moment, but it made Nathanos' heart beat very fast. It didn't seem to be a good thing. He was worried and afraid of something. This was a sign of disaster.

.

"Everything is fine, nothing happened." Nathanos comforted himself.

Winter Veil, the last season of the year in Azeroth, is considered a season of change in many cultures. The dwarves tell an ancient legend and celebrate a word during this time when snow covers the earth.

A time when the old welcomes the new. This kind of festival has also been passed to the human kingdom and the elven kingdom, and due to cultural differences, the festival customs have also changed.

The dwarves have always been keen to seek the secrets of their origins, and they will celebrate this season as a tribute to Grandfather Winter. They are an incarnation of the Titans of ancient Azeroth, and they claim that blood flows in their veins.

With the blood of those mysterious creatures, the dwarves who live in the snowy Dun Morogh take it for granted that they are blessed by Grandfather Winter.

Nathanos often heard the stories of Winter Veil told by Lyraine and Kai'Sa.

"Do you know? I once made a wish to Grandpa Winter, and he helped me realize it."

"What wish did you make?"

"I wish I could get a box of candies, and when I wake up the next day, there really is a box of candies in front of the window."

"Really? Then I also want to make a wish. I hope Grandpa Winter can let me see the Holy Light. I believe she must be a kind goddess."

"Nathanos, what is your wish?" Kaisha blinked and looked at him.

"I have no wish, because I don't lack anything now." Nathanos replied, then looked at the sky with snowflakes, and then added: "If there is any, I would like to meet Grandpa Winter, whom Lerain said

.”

"I want it too, I want it too." Lalane raised his hands excitedly.

Nathanos had never seen Grandpa Winter, and later he gradually learned that it was just a symbol of people's expectations for a better life. The human kingdom was peaceful, at least for now. But what would happen when war comes?
