Chapter Thirty-Seven - Retreat

…………

"Who?" Brox and Nathanos turned around at the same time. The voices that stopped them were not from Deathwings, nor were they as harsh as goblins, but the first reaction between the two was to realize that they had been exposed.

But when they turned around, they still saw an empty tunnel. Brox thought he had auditory hallucinations, but it was impossible for the two of them to have this situation at the same time.

"Who is it? Come out."

‘Don’t talk, orcs! Only you can hear my voice, I am Crasus.’ The other party did not show up, and Nathanos soon realized that the other party might not be here at all, but was just using some kind of spell to communicate with them, just like the Lich King.

"Crasus, I remember you, you and that Ronin are together. Why are you here, Malfurion?" The orc spoke carefully. He was not sure if he could speak to the other party with his mind, but he could hear it when he spoke.

‘He is right next to me, we are safe, but what I didn’t expect was that Cenarius would ask you to help us.’

"I need an explanation for this!" Nathanos whispered, "Are we assisting you or you assisting us? So far, you haven't even appeared in personal figures, and we are close to the Dragon Soul, and I have to wonder who is carrying out the task of stealing it. Are Brox and I 'returning to the guest'?"

The sarcasm of the undead made the atmosphere fall to the bottom. Perhaps thinking of the dangerous nest of Nasario in the depths of the two, Crasus's voice quickly rang out again. 'I'm sorry, we're just watching. The black dragon's alertness is too high. If I enter his territory, he will definitely find it. Because of this, I can't let Malfurion act alone.'

"Okay, it's useless to explain these things. Can you tell us why we stop me from touching the stone behind me? Is there any trap inside?"

‘It is not so, it is just because Malfurion entered the Emerald Dream, and he saw you in the dream, which also allowed us to contact you. And he not only saw these, but he found that there were other things hidden in this secret room, something extremely evil.’

Brox's ears moved and he hurriedly turned into a defensive posture, "What's it?"

‘I can’t tell you about this for the time being, but if you activate the mechanism, it will not only anger the other party, but also irritate the Wings of Death, so please don’t act rashly!’

"You mean... let's stay away from here?"

"But the dragon soul is inside!"

Nathanos and Brox's attitude was already very obvious. They had to give it a try anyway. If they obtain the Dragon Soul now, they could turn back in advance.

Crasus was still chattering and persuading, but he could no longer stop these two mortals who were reckless in his eyes.

"Let me do it!" Nathanos nodded to Brox. If he had any trouble, the orcs would come to help him as soon as possible.

The undead leaned forward, and his hand also touched the stone that Nesario had disguised.

Suddenly, a wild roar hit his eardrums.

Nathanos felt unsteady in his standing, and quickly knelt down and covered his ears with his hands, but he did not make a sound, but his face was twisted, telling the orc that he was in pain!

"What's wrong with you?" Brox reached out to Nathanos' shoulder.

The roar ended soon, but Brox stood there well. Nathanos stood up with shock and confusion.

"You didn't hear it?" asked the undead.

"What did you hear?"

"Sound, savage voice, trying to tear my body, I feel... very bad."

Brox discovered that Nathanos' eyes were lost. He obviously had experienced something. The orcs were more careful about the stone.

"What are you talking about? I heard nothing."

Nathanos nodded, "Yes, if you hear it all, then Deathwing must have heard it too."

"So what exactly did you hear?"

‘Please don’t tell him!!’ Crassus’s voice suddenly invaded Nathanos’s mind. He was very unhappy. Why can anyone talk to him like this? Although the other party can’t drive him, it always gives people a feeling of being monitored.

"I can't describe, Brox, but what Crasus said is right, this secret room hides something very dangerous and we can't get close to it."

"So, we're going to quit?"

Nathanos nodded, he had just felt a fierce evil force driving the uninvited guest in the stone. Although this force did not touch Nathanos, the undead was still shocked, and he was sure that the source of this force was not Nesario, but something more terrifying than the black dragon.

The first attempt to find the Dragon Soul failed, but fortunately, Nesario did not find them.

But Nathanos dared not take risks again. He already knew the whereabouts of the disc. Although the guardian of the earth might still be suspicious, he did not know that there was really someone nearby.

"Get out of here first!"

The undead and the orcs left the cave. Then, they began to meet with Crasus and Malfurio. Entering the stretching mountains, Nathanos admired Crasus very much. In order to avoid the black dragon, this guy hid in such a remote place. But only here can make people feel safe.

They met at a mountain pass, and like Crasus in Nathanos's memory, he chose to disguise himself as a race that did not exist at all in this era: the High Elves.

If Nathanos was still alive and still a complete human, this scene was like a gathering under the Holy Mountain of Hygar during World War III.

"How can you be so reckless? If Nesario finds you, you will not only be dead, but he will be more cautious, and we will never be able to touch the dragon soul again."

"It seems that the latter is more important than the former! This is not your previous tone." Nathanos said sarcastically. This sentence also attracted Brox's alternative vision. Of course, this vision was projected on Crassus.

"Maybe, maybe not." Crasus replied angrily, "but fortunately you have found the hiding place of the Dragon Soul."

"It's not possible to touch." Nathanos's voice was quiet, as if he had heard the voice again, making him feel guilty. "I just worried that we might not be able to take that thing away."
