Chapter Thirty-Six - The Chamber of Secrets
…………
The Earth Guardian will never build his nest near the nests of other dragon tribes.
There are more and more peaks, and the peaks here are not as tall as the mountains in the heart, nor are they eroded by wind and rain like the mountains in the world for a long time. Nathanos always feels that these peaks are not formed naturally. One of the peaks even lacks a piece to the north, and it feels like someone chopping the north with a giant knife. Nathanos can see the mottled texture of the ore on the mountain and some traces of the cave. There is also a crown at the top of a mountain, which looks like a tree.
The scenery in front of him was breathtaking. The undead looked away and squatted down to look at the soil. Now, the most urgent task was to find the trace of Nesario.
Nathanos slowly moved forward and almost searched everywhere. After many efforts failed, he had to start thinking that Nasario might not be so naive. Perhaps this black dragon knew this place well and was more familiar than people imagined, so the black dragon could hide without any trace.
"Look here!"
A small trace attracted Brox's attention. The trace was somewhat similar to the trace of the young dragon, which was unlikely. Nathanos focused his attention on this trace.
"This is like a trace of a dragon's wings passing by." The undead shook his head with a serious expression. "This is not good news. If there are other black dragons around Nasario, it will be difficult for us to get close to him."
However, Brox knew that Nathanos hadn't finished it. It was one thing to look for the Black Dragon, or he was discovered, it was another thing. Nesario was extremely sensitive to external things. If there was a little mistake, they would expose themselves.
Therefore, you cannot be careless at all.
Following the trail, the scenery ahead is even more unspeakable. Recalling the power of the death wings in the past, Nathanos slowed down his pace.
The black dragon was hiding somewhere nearby. Just as the mountains and rivers became blurred, the undead suddenly felt his breath and at the same time felt something else, it was an evil aura that permeated the entire place, much older than other things.
"This place is not right." Brox looked around.
"Shh!" Nathanos signaled the orcs to be quiet, and the latter did as soon as possible, but he and Nathanos clasped their weapons silently at the same time. Everything around seemed to be cooperating with Nathanos, and there was no sound of wind.
Soon the silence was broken, and a rumble seemed to come from the tunnel. The sound was very regular, but it was hard to imagine what kind of creature was breathing so heavily.
"The sound comes from there." Nathanos whispered. The two of them easily found the target.
The huge cave is like a scene in a nightmare. There are several huge deep pits with lava flowing on the ground. Bubbles appear from time to time, spewing out thick orange-red smoke, forming a terrifying cloud in the air, making a hissing sound, and the hot lava gushes out from time to time, splashing onto the charred stones.
"You hear it, it seems that it's not just that voice!"
When he reached the entrance of the cave, the undead and the orc stopped at the same time. Nathanos nodded in agreement. In addition to the sound of bubbles and hissing, another sound came faintly from the depths of the cave. It was the hammer's knocking. Brocks listened with his breath and found that the sound was not done by one hammer, but from multiple hammers, mixed with other sounds. It was the sound of talking, chattering and echoing in the cave. The sound of beating the hammer was endless, as if a giant blacksmith lived in the mountain.
"Do you want to go in?"
Nathanos did not answer Brox, but in fact he had already told the orcs his answer when he put the bow and arrow.
"We will find Malfurion first. The druid should be more familiar with the situation in the cave."
The undead were walking in front and the orcs were walking behind. They didn't take long to figure out who was hitting and beating again. But this time there was a large group of these thin and strong guys everywhere in the cave. Some goblins were busy busy on the giant buckets and furnaces, injecting steaming metal liquid into some large rectangular iron molds. Some goblins hit the iron plate with worn-out iron hammers, and the iron plate was red all over, and I don't know how heated it was. There were more than a dozen goblins busy hitting some huge bolts with hammers. When the goblins were working, they kept muttering and talking nonstop. Nathanos' eyes were watching.
"Hurry!" a goblin foreman suddenly shouted, "Complete the order before the dragon wakes up, and then run away quickly."
"Run away?"
Hearing this voice, Nathanos was startled. He immediately put his head back and covered Brox's heart with his hands, so that he would not move around. He had dealt with Death Wings and would never forget the sound of the dragon.
Not long after, the black dragon walked out of the passage of another cave.
Nathanos was afraid that Nesario would feel the breath of death on his body. However, the hot smell of steel around him covered up.
The goblin who just said the word "run away" was trembling with his legs, covering his face with his hands. Doing this repeatedly can prevent him from Nesario's anger.
The undead finally poked his head out, and the dragon's appearance became more ferocious than before. His body had been twisted and deformed, and his eyes were even more terrifying than ever. What was even more frightening was that his scale-covered body was covered with cracked wounds, and flames and lava kept gushing out from the shaking wounds. Some of the wounds even stretched out the tongues of flying flames. It made people feel that Nesario's body would be split one day.
But when Nathanos saw the object tightly held in one of the dragon's claws, the thoughts about the splitting of the black dragon suddenly disappeared without a trace.
Demon's soul...
Nathanos really wanted to rush towards the dragon and take the golden disc from him, but this idea was not only whimsical and unfulfilled, but also like a moth to a fire and seeking death. The only thing he could do now is to take a wait-and-see attitude.
"There are no other thoughts, reptile!" Nesario shouted loudly again. His tail fell to the ground and made a loud bang, scaring several goblins half to death. Nathanos was surprised that Nesario did not execute the goblin who was ill-hearted, but just issued a warning.
The foreman nodded repeatedly and recovered his calmness.
"Yes! Nesario, my master. What are your instructions?"
"My body is being torn! It can no longer accommodate the power of the dragon soul! When will you build armor?"
"This requires calculation, measurement, and taking into account all your requirements, my master! We must be careful and not rush, otherwise it will make you unsatisfied!"
The black dragon's nose suddenly approached the goblin and almost knocked him to the ground. "I hope it will be fine right now! It's best now!"
"Of course! Of course!" The goblin foreman took a few steps back until he could see the dragon's eyes. "Please allow me to see the latest progress in the armor." The goblin stared at Nesario's claws, "Master, I'm foremost. I have warned you that the power emitted by the disc will aggravate your pain! You'd better place it somewhere else before we put on your new clothes."
"Impossible! I won't let it go half a step away from me!"
The goblin stood still. "My master, if you don't put it aside, I can't guarantee that you will stick to the time when the armor is finished. By then, no one can take the disc from your ashes."
These words finally had an effect on the Black Dragon. Nesario roared a few times... and then said reluctantly: "Something makes sense, but give me what I want as soon as possible, otherwise I will hand you over to my children and let them eat you as snacks!"
The goblin nodded quickly and said, "Don't worry, master, please don't worry!"
The black dragon rumbled in his mouth, turned around cumbersomely, and walked into the other passage.
Nathanos's tense body finally relaxed. "Hear? The black dragon is going to hide that thing. Now is the opportunity. The dragon's soul is not in Nasario's hands."
Brox nodded in a silence, "Then let's follow."
Obstructing the sight of several goblins, Nathanos and Brox slipped into the passage. They dared not get too close, but Nesario was even a little impatient by traversing a maze-like tunnel.
The closest time in Nathanos's sight to the black dragon was when he saw the shadow of the other party. In addition, even though he could not see the black dragon, he was sure that he had not followed him.
The sound of the dragon's footsteps stopped, and he seemed to stop. The orcs and the undead stopped instinctively and sneaked into the depths of the stone wall. After waiting for a while, he poked his head out of the wall and looked carefully.
Nathanos hurriedly chased after him. Just as he was about to catch up, the earth guard suddenly turned into a narrow cave that could just accommodate Nesario's body. His huge body inevitably had some friction with the wall.
"It's here..." he whispered, apparently speaking to his masterpiece, "You're safe here."
Nesario gently reached out and grabbed a small piece of stone exposed outside. A light flashed out of the stone. After he moved the stone away, a passage appeared inside, which was obviously an artificial passage, and it was probably dug by the Black Dragon himself. The guardian of the earth glanced at the demon soul, hesitated for a long time before gently putting it in the cave. Everything was settled, and he put the hidden rock back to its original place.
Another flash of light, everything was as intact as before. If it weren't for seeing it with my own eyes, Nathanos would never have thought that the stone would have hidden such a mysterious mechanism. The deceptive stone was seamlessly combined with the surrounding environment.
What surprised Nathanos was that he could not feel the breath of the disc at this moment. The black dragon was unlikely to hide the disc outside the mortal world, but he must have found a complete solution.
Nesario stood there, paused for a while, his eyes still staring at the place where the Demon Soul was stored. He raised his claws again, and his sharp claws were only a few inches from the stone.
The black dragon let out a frustrated roar, reluctantly put down his claws, turned around and left the cave.
Patiently waiting for Nasario to walk away from here. These few minutes passed very long. After concluding that the black dragon had gone away, the undead and the orcs looked at each other a few times, and confirmed that there was no one in the cave, they walked to the place where the demon soul was hidden.
Even when he approached the stone, he still couldn't feel anything.
Nathanos was a little excited and confused, feeling that things were going too well.
"Quick!" Brox urged.
The undead hesitated for a while and reached out to touch the rock.
