Chapter 39 - Assembling the Armor

…………

Malfurio watched Nathanos come out of the portal first. Although he understood that Crasus planned to cooperate with the undead, who was full of death, in order to take the overall situation into consideration, he was still upset. Crasus repeatedly explained that he was reluctant to do so, but this still failed to eliminate the uneasy feeling of the night elf.

But the night elf did not reveal his inner feelings, but just avoided the undead far away. Strangely, Nathanos' movements were very fast, and he was really like a living person.

What surprised the Druid, Nathanos did not go to see him, but walked directly to Brox, and Crasus walked out of the portal at this time and nodded at Malfurion.

Everything seems to be going well!

Nathanos and the Orcs chatted briefly, and it seemed that they had reached a consensus.

"Should you explain what happened after I touched that stone?"

Crasus suddenly bent his waist, as if in response, but the contemplative look on Crasus's face seemed to mean something else.

"The crisis Azeroth faces is not only the Burning Legion, but the Demon is the surface enemy. A greater threat is hidden behind him. You all know what happened to Nesario, but you don't know why he is like this. Under the ground of this world, there is extremely evil darkness. Its whisper can make the dragon go crazy. It is a hundred times stronger than the Lich King."

Brox glanced at Nathanos, the undead already clenched his fists.

“What is it called?”

"The God of the Ancient!"

God? Hearing these two words, Brox snorted, and Crasus nodded.

"It's really incredible." The undead lowered his head, "What do you mean is the ancient god who is making trouble?"

"In fact, Ronin and I returned ten thousand years ago to investigate the King of Time Nozdom, and I received a message of help from it. I am very suspicious that it was the ancient god who made Nozdom so painful."

"Message?" Nathanos's eyes lit up, "Is it the dragon roar!"

Crasus was shocked, his face stiffened, and asked, "You heard it too? But how could it be?"

"Yes, I heard it, I also felt a turbulent force. It was the power of time, and I saw many pasts of this era." Nathanos explained, but every word was sensible. He would not reveal that he had experienced all this in Karazan.

Sure enough, Crasus asked him where he heard it, but Nathanos fooled it with vague words.

"Cenarius once said that if you want to destroy the portal built by Azshara, you must have a powerful treasure, the soul of the dragon. Since you are keen on the matter of the King of Time, how can you participate in the war against the Burning Legion?"

The Red Dragon Mage asked: "Do you think the Red Dragon will be out of this war?"

"Isn't it?" Brox roared, "We have fought with the Burning Legion so many times. The people of your clan only appeared in the second defensive battle of the Black Raven Fortress, and..." The orc paused, he was a little disdainful. In order to give Crasus some face, he did not point out that only one of the other clan members had come.

The druid, who did not say a word, couldn't help but tense all over his body, and he was afraid that the three people in front of him would fight.

"Okay, let's end this topic. Anyway, we have the same purpose now, all for the Dragon Soul." Crassus waved his hand.

Anyone with discerning eyes knows that Crasus is hiding something, but it is difficult to guess what the Red Dragon is hiding. Nathanos only thinks that the dragon soul may be related to Nozdom!

After saying that, Crasus began to walk forward, Malfurion grabbed his arm and whispered: "We're going to be with them?"

Crasus then glared at him: "What else can you think about at this critical moment?"

"You have told me before, Crasus, you are the easiest to be discovered by Nesario. You are in the same category as him. He must have thought that other dragons wanted to steal the Demon Souls, so he was ready."

"But we are very sensitive to the dragons, so we are more likely to avoid that thing. And, I protect myself very well."

Malfurion nodded and said, "As long as the disc is still in his hands, your dragon clan will suffer the most. Many dragons must want to try it out... The earth guardian will think so. He must be guarding against the dragon clan magic in the cave, especially your protection magic."

"But he is a guardian dragon..." Crasus, who was slender, pouted. Malfurio thought Crasus would then explain a great theory of passage and explain why Malfurio's idea was wrong, but the Red Dragon Mage finally said: "You are right. We will think of trying it, and he will also expect that we have this idea. I know him too much. I should have thought of this a long time ago, maybe I want to get that thing too much. I am lucky to be able to get all the way here. But his nest must have traps waiting for other dragons to fall into the trap."

“That’s what I think.”

"But that doesn't mean you can easily steal the disc," Crasus reminded. "But the orcs and the undead have extraordinary courage. They have found the secret room."

Nathanos shrugged, "What's the use of finding it but not being able to go in? There are dangers everywhere, at least the goblins inside are more imaginative. To obtain the dragon soul, we must cooperate with the action."

Unable to think of any reason to enter the hole alone, Malfurion had to agree to two foreigners walking with him. There was no doubt that the night elves were still a little hesitant with them by their side. But if you think about it carefully, this arrangement also makes sense. Nathanos had helped him deal with the king Haka. Brox's tenacious will and strong arms made entering the Black Dragon's lair no longer so scary.

Of course, this trip is still full of dangers.

The few people finally decided: Nathanos and Brox lead the way first, and after Crasus confirms, they will consider how to get the Dragon Soul.

"I will be a backup for you outside," Crasus promised as they left, "I will never be discovered by the Black Dragon."

Returning to Nesario's nest again, the tunnel that transported the ore created excellent conditions for them, otherwise it would be difficult for even Malfurio to find a suitable entrance. For most of the time during the tunnel, Brox could only hold his arms tightly beside him. He held his battle axe in his hand, staring at the front with his eyes, and listened to the sounds around him with his breath.

The sounds in front of the tunnel were getting louder and louder, and Nathanos hoped that the noise would be good for them. The huge noise might distract the goblins from their attention and not easily detect their presence.

At this time, a dim light appeared in front of him, illuminating the curved tunnel. Brox seemed a little nervous, and the undead placed one hand on his shoulder.

"On there!" Nathanos whispered, "After entering the cave, the black dragon walked through the passage on the left."

Brox groaned and said he understood and continued to move forward. The road ahead became brighter and brighter, and the noise was almost crazy.

The scene in front of the two was even more chaotic than what Nathanos had seen before. The goblins in the cave were at least twice as many as they saw that time. Each goblin hurriedly walked around, as if they would be unable to save their lives when they stopped. Several goblins were busy knocking on the ore like hills, while others kept adding fuel to the towering furnace. Several chains were surrounded by huge jars, and the melted metal was poured into the huge container.

On the far side of the right, two huge armors that had been cast were discarded on one side. Because there were some tiny cracks on the armor, they were just a pile of scrap iron.

"I still don't understand what they do," Brox murmured, "Did the Black Dragon want to make a set of armor for himself?"

The undead frowned and said, "It's not that..."

Trying to avoid this, Nathanos looked carefully to the left of the hole. There was indeed a path leading to a huge passage, where Nesario had walked.

"That's there! Let's go there!"

Brox nodded, but stopped the two people behind him: "There are goblins, wait a little longer."

The orcs saw two goblins busy transporting away the remaining gravel after mining. The undead looked carefully at the progress there and immediately realized that they would stay there for a long time.

"Change the position and I'll solve it!"

"Don't make trouble!" Brox and Nathanos exchanged positions carefully. The undead had already aimed at the busy green-skinned dwarf. His two bows and arrows were to ensure that they could penetrate the other's head. Fortunately, the goblin's head was easier to aim than other parts of his body.

But just as he was about to lose his hand, the violent sound of Nesario suddenly came, and the huge cave shook. "Are you ready? This time I've been waiting for a long time, otherwise I'll eat each of you."

The last time the goblin foreman suddenly ran. He kicked the working goblins a few times, urging them to speed up, and then walked quickly towards the passage at a high place. He mumbled all the way, and Nathanos's keen ears told him that the goblin was talking about some calculation formulas.

Before the goblin could reach the entrance of the tunnel, the black dragon stepped out of the entrance.

"You useless guys are not even as good as insects! I can't stand it anymore! Have you made what I want?"

"Made! Made! My Master! Did you see it?" He said, pointing in one direction, where several goblins were trying hard to drag a pair of large metal plate armor out of one corner. From the appearance, Nathanos could not tell what part of them would be embedded in Nesario's body. Although it had cooled, the plate armor still had residual heat and hissed.

"It's better to be stronger than the last time! The last time was so useless!"

The goblin nodded quickly and said solemnly: "This time it was made of high-quality metal! It is stronger than steel! With your strength, they can block any impact, and you can bear the weight."

The goblins easily carried the armor and walked for a while, proving this, and Brox thought it would take ten times the number of goblins to transport this thing.

Nesario looked at the armor with longing desire. His breathing accelerated as the hot and red armor passed by him.

"We just need to cool it now, and it won't take long after..."

"No!" the earth guardian suddenly roared.

The old goblin couldn't help but tremble: "What's wrong, my master?"

The black dragon stared at the armor without turning his eyes, his eyes almost crazy: "I'm going to wear it on my body now!"

"But the heat on it is not a joke. And the plate armor that is not cooled is prone to deformation. You really should wait..."

The giant dragon covered in fire all over the body stretched out a dragon's claw and slapped heavily on the ground, close to the forehead of the goblin: "It's now..."

"Okay, Master Nesario! I'll do it right away. Get moving for me quickly, you lazy guys!" he yelled at the goblins who were transporting plate armor.

Just as they turned around, the black dragon walked towards a huge and open space beside the wall. Malfurion and the orcs looked at the dragon lying on the ground in confusion, exposing the right side of the body outside. The huge cracked wound still shot out from time to time.

"Take it over!" Nesario shouted, "Let's hurry!"

"What are they going to do with that armor?" Malfurion puzzled.

"Prepare the bolts!" the goblin foreman ordered, "The higher the temperature, the better!"

A dozen goblins divided into two groups and began to place a giant tong into the furnace. Nathanos saw them pulling out a huge bolt from the furnace, at least as big as Brox.

"Prepare the hammer!"

"Things!" Nesario became impatient, "Come on it quickly and do what I said!"

The goblin hurriedly transported it over. Finally, the goblin foreman made a gesture, and their bodies leaned forward together, and their armor fell on the black dragon's scales.

The metal hit the black dragon, scaring Nathanos and the others to take a step back suddenly. The burning sound echoed in the hole. The terrible wound on the black dragon shook the armor a few times, but the armor remained on it.

"It's already stable!" the foreman shouted to the goblins, "Hurry up! Get the first batch of bolts!"

The undead could hardly believe what was happening in front of him, but Malfurion could not help but whisper: "They were going to nail it to him! He was crazy! It was really crazy!"

Brox said nothing, his eyes narrowed, and his hands were tightly clutching the oak battle axe.

But Nathanos' expression was almost intoxicated. He laughed a little, his red eyes half-closed. He waited with anticipation, his chest undulating.

The shaking body of the black dragon caused some trouble for these goblins. The first two times failed, and finally on the third time, they slide the bolt into a hole in the armor. The bolt slides in half, and the goblins clamp it with long tongs, trying their best not to let the bolt fall out.

"Get ready for the hammer! Get ready to hit the bolts immediately!"

The other goblins moved the position of the bolt slightly, then jumped down.

"Turn hard!" the goblin foreman shouted.

The side of the huge metal head was hit hard at the bolt. With a loud noise, the hammer and the bolt collided violently. The bolt was deeply trapped in the flesh, and only a short piece was exposed outside.

Nesario roared wildly, but no matter how painful he was, there was obvious excitement in his roar.

"Continue!" the black dragon roared.

The goblin carefully observed the position of the bolt, and then ordered his subordinates to move the hammer away. He jumped from above with satisfaction, and shouted loudly when he landed on the ground: "Pull it up!"

The hammer hit again.

Nesario's roar this time overshadowed the hammer's striking. The bolts were sinking deeper.

"Go in!"
