Chapter 40 - Fantasy Trap

…………

Malfurion in the tunnel leaned against the wall. "He wanted to inlaid armor on every part of his body! Why?"

"Maybe it's to protect himself..." Nathanos replied, "You have seen it all. The dragon doesn't have a trace of intact skin all over his body. If it weren't for these armors that matched his body shape, I'm afraid Nasario's body..."

"Don't he feel the pain? Look at the nails... so deep!"

"No pain may be comparable to the enormous energy of his body, and...he is crazy!"

Brox frowned, apparently their way forward was blocked, "How can we keep moving forward?"

"Wait a little longer, we have to calculate the time when they are ready to put a bolt down. When the goblin brings this thing up, the huge bolts can help us hide it," said Nathanos.

The goblins holding the tongs came to the place where the bolts were cast. They placed one bolt into the furnace. Brox and Malfurio stood in the tunnel and could feel the high temperature in the furnace. Standing beside Nathanos, they could still feel a little cold.

"Get ready." Nathanos reminded.

The two watched the goblins carry the bolts and walk towards Nesario. The Black Dragon doesn't look anywhere now, staring at the bolt with his eyes straight.

"Hurry up! Hurry!" Nesario shouted in a low voice.

The bolt was lifted by the goblins and placed it on the other side of the armor. At this time, Nathanos and others were ready.

Just as the bolt was moved, the three of them quickly began to move. Brox walked in front with a battle axe in his hand. If a goblin happened to break into the cave from a wide passage, the orcs would kill him immediately without hesitation. Below them, the goblin foreman screamed at the goblin who was controlling the hammer. The machine that controlled the hammer began to creak, and the sound overwhelmed the sound made by the three intruders.

When the local spirits knocked the bolts in, they had almost walked halfway. Suddenly, the hole became silent, and Nathanos immediately squatted down and froze there, not daring to move. The orcs and night elves behind him were the same.

The orcs' hands were sweating all the time. If Nesario found them, there was no way to deal with them.

Fortunately, there was no danger. The goblin foreman began to yell the orders again, and as they hoped, everything returned to normal. Just as the hammer was ready, Nathanos first arrived at the end of the path, and Brox and Malfurio arrived later.

Behind them, the loud cry of the goblin leader came again: "Pull it up!"

The undead, orcs, and night elves rushed into the passage, and the sound of the hammer hit their brains buzzed. The terrible scenes that the Black Dragon had made for him could not be dispersed for a long time. He was already crazy and irrational. Nathanos suddenly felt how appropriate the name "Wings of Death" was for the Black Dragon.

The undead slowed down. He knew that the two people behind him needed time to recover from the shock they had just now, but he didn't give them too much time. "Okay! There's still one last step away."

Find the location where the disc is stored and remove it.

Brox knew what Nathanos was referring to, but that didn't mean they were sure to win, because there must be other dangers lurking in Nesario's lair.

At this moment, another loud noise came from behind, followed by a creepy black dragon laughter. Nathanos couldn't help but speed up his pace when he heard the laughter.

It took much longer to reach the first turn than he expected, because he didn't know if the Black Dragon had set up guards in the passage, so they had to take one step at a time. This means that they had to spend a long time on the road.

"We must hurry!"

They then ran in the passage. Despite this, it seemed that it would take so long to reach the second turn, but Nathanos already felt that they were getting closer and closer to the target.

After walking through the winding passage for a while, Nathanos stopped from time to time to confirm his position. Finally, they came to a narrow cave, where the undead would never forget it in their lifetime. He stood at the entrance for a while, and remembered the sound he heard when he touched the stone.

"It's on it." Brox pointed his hand at the stone to cover it up, "It's on the right side of the stone, to the left of the crack."

Malfurion obviously didn't know where he was referring to, and said, "I hope you're not wrong."

However, it is never easy to enter the secret room and reach the storage of the Demon Soul, let alone how dangerous it is.

They could still hear the hammers knocking and the roar of the black dragon from time to time from deep into the cave. Hearing these sounds, the three of them couldn't help but start acting quickly.

"Okay, now it's time for you to act, Druid. Open the secret room!"

"What?" Malfurion said in surprise, "Why is it me? I don't know how to do it!"

The undead and the orc turned around and looked at the druids at the same time, and a shocked expression appeared on their faces at the same time!

"What are you kidding? Didn't Crasus tell you how to remove the threat from the stone?"

Malfurio shook his head, "He never told me, I thought he would tell you what to do when he chats with you alone."

Nathanos cursed from the bottom of his heart, thinking that if it were what Malfurio said, he would act alone, and that would be much more convenient. Crassus hoped that the three of them would act together, making Nathanos wrongly think that Malfurio would help them enter the secret room.

So at this moment, the undead and the orcs stared at the night elves with one eye at the same time - doubt.

"I really don't know how to get in."

"Forget it, it's already hard to get on the verge of being a tiger. Can you see if you can contact Crassus? You should have a way to contact him, right?"

The druid's silence made the other two face despair. It was obvious that Malfurion could not speak with Crasus's spirit, and according to his own defense, the Red Dragon Mage himself took the initiative to contact him every time.

"We were able to hear Crasus's words from the air before, so he should be able to contact us now, why didn't he speak?" The orc shouted, and Nathanos patted his shoulder to calm him down.

"Maybe Crasus has been in some trouble." Nathanos said his guess, and then he sighed, "It seems that we can only rely on ourselves."

After hesitating for a moment, Nathanos walked carefully towards the stone. He had seen what would happen if he touched the stone once. Perhaps because of his lingering fear, Nathanos could actually feel the magic emitted from it this time.

Brox is ready for battle, as if Nathanos is touching some taboos, and the orcs will attack at any time.

The soul-stirring roar came again as Nathanos's hand touched the stone, but the undead did not release as it did last time. He felt something throbbing his soul. No matter what it was, Nathanos tried his best to endure it. After a while... it felt like only a few minutes, the sound disappeared.

The undead opened his eyes, and the stone wall was still in front of him, and his hand was still holding the stone.

Nothing happened...

Nathanos was surprised, and then he immediately followed Nesario's previous actions and began to lift the mechanism. The secret room was opened and the dragon's soul was placed on a round platform. Excited, Nathanos turned around and said, "It's successful, hurry..."

The words of the undead ended here, and he stared behind him with wide eyes. Brox and Malfurion were gone. In the same passage, there were originally the orcs and night elves, and two people who made Nathanos angry.

He trembled, gritted his fists and clenched his fists, shouting out the other party's name: "Alsace! Dalkan!!"

The words "What?" are spoken from the two people in Nathanos's eyes at the same time.

"You dare to show up here!" Nathanos pulled out Salamani and pointed at Alsace. "You also want to get the Dragon Soul, I won't let you do it!"

The undead held the sword in his hand and rushed forward, slashing at Arthas, but the fallen prince seemed to have no reaction. He hurriedly raised the rune sword in his hand to block it, but he still took two steps back and almost fell.

"What's going on?" Dalkan spoke.

Compared to Artsas, Nathanos hated this hypocritical high elf more, and this traitor was also the murderer who killed him.

The undead then launched a second attack, pointing straight at Dalkan. Unlike Arthas, Dalkan was much faster, so he immediately recited a spell. In an instant, Nathanos found that he could not move. In his opinion, countless black vines bound him and tied his hands and feet. No matter how hard he used, he could not break free.

"What's going on, Brox?" Darkan shouted.

Brox Nathanos looked up at Arthas, why did Dalcan call his master by an orc?

"I don't know, but I have to try it!" Arthas in Nathanos's eyes put down his weapon and punched the undead's left face. Nathanos fell to the ground in pain, feeling dizzy, and even could not open his eyes for a short time.

After all the discomfort disappeared, he looked up again to face Arthas and Dalcan. To his surprise, the two men disappeared, replaced by people Nathanos could no longer face. The strength of holding the sword in his hand disappeared, and Saramani took off his hand and removed it to the ground.

"Aleria! Mother!!"

"Elune is above, what is he talking about?" Malfurion took a step back in horror. Nathanos's hatred eyes suddenly turned into a kind of guilt and pain.

"What the hell is wrong with him? Why did he call you Arthas, Brox? Why did he say Dalcan to me? I don't have this name." The druid was eager to know the answer, and then the orcs were as confused as he did.

But things changed beyond people's imagination. Before the two of them could come up with the answer, Nathanos suddenly felt weak and fainted. Brox held him in time, but the undead's eyes were closed.

"It must be the mechanism on that stone." The orc's forehead was sweating, but Malfurio was even more nervous than him. "There is no time, Druid. Go and take the Dragon Soul, we must leave here."

"There is wind here... maybe there is an exit, orc."

As long as they could leave here as soon as possible, no one could ask for it. Nodded, Malfurion focused his attention on the golden disc again. Now, they were all lucky. Nesario's crazy roaring covered up the fight between them just now.

Brox nodded.

Malfurio stood outside the secret room and saw that the hole was pitch black. He never thought that after stepping in, the dazzling light shot towards him, making it difficult for him to open his eyes and burning his pain, but his eyes felt much better soon.

After his eyes adapted to the light inside, the night elves saw the dragon soul and placed it not far away. The disc was placed on a gorgeous red cloth, which looked very tasteful to the black dragon. The golden disc was placed inside like a baby, small and exquisite, and Malfurion could hold it with one hand. Although the disc could emit brilliant light, it looked very ordinary. But Malfurion knew the power contained in it, so he had to treat this masterpiece of the dragons carefully.

Out of curiosity, the Druid looked carefully at the Dragon Soul and found that nothing would hurt him. Obviously, Deathwing believed that his treasure was absolutely safe, and he didn't need to set any mechanism traps on the disc.

Malfurion leaned over the disc. This little thing actually contained such great power.

"Druid!" He suddenly heard Brox calling him, "Did you get it? We must leave quickly, staying here makes me more and more uneasy!"

Nesario's distorted image flashed through Malfurio's mind. He didn't dare to delay any more. He immediately stuffed the disc into a pocket. After sealing the pocket, the light in the hole suddenly dimmed. He saw Brox waiting anxiously with Nathanos on his back. The night elves took a deep breath and prepared to walk out of the secret room and leave this place of right and wrong.

It was only then that he realized that he had made a very terrible mistake.

The sound of a dragon suddenly sounded in the cave. Hearing these sounds, Malfurio felt something was wrong and stayed there motionless. He vaguely felt that this was not the soul of the dragon making trouble, and then he was sure that the sound he heard was actually the magic of the black dragon. The cunning Nesario did not set up magic directly on the disc, but set the magic in the secret room. As long as someone stepped out of the secret room with the soul of the dragon, he would issue a warning. This trap was designed so cleverly that Malfurio's sensitive senses did not notice it.

As the screams of the dragons slowly faded, a more terrifying voice echoed in the cave.
