Chapter 10 - Thunder Axe Fortress

…………

Just now, Nathanos was still interrogating a Sartre, although the other party didn't say anything until he died. In a blink of an eye, he came to the place where the Forgotten Ones gathered.

Now, they are hiding outside the Thunder Axe Fortress, with a stinky smell of evil energy everywhere. The fortress is surrounded by huge stone stakes and cannot attack at all, so they can only attack head-on.

Nathanos had been used to fighting tough wars early on, and he had to act cautiously now, because the number of Forsakens was not enough to make him fight a war of attrition. He glanced at the others, all of whom were talking about how to attack the Thunder Axe Fortress.

The Withered said nothing. The Forgotten Sect is now impossible to turn back. Capture the Thunder Axe Fortress, then clean up the four centaur tribes, and finally capture Maraton. Think about it carefully, it seems that the first step is the easiest.

"grown ups."

"Have you agreed on the tactics?"

Belmont nodded. "Everyone agreed to act at night, if we were faster. Those orcs didn't know who they were killed."

If it doesn't succeed, it's a warning. Nathanos answered Belmont in his heart, but he didn't say it, because there was no other way.

"I've seen that the orcs standing guard on the Thunder Axe Fortress will rotate every hour. According to time calculations, there will be a rotation when the moon rises to the highest level. We will act at that time."

Belmont got the order and bowed and left. He conveyed Nasnos' meaning to the others. Veronara sighed at the back of the Withered One after hearing this. "It seems that he is very nervous too. Neither orcs nor centaurs are so easy to deal with."

Liana agreed, and the clever Dark Ranger thought more deeply. "Nathanos is not a fool. He has experienced many wars, but never once was as difficult as it is now. We don't need to sleep or eat. This is our advantage, but we will also face new problems that we cannot heal if we are injured."

"You should be more respectful to the title of Lord Wither." Belmont stared at Liana, but attracted the other party's sarcasm.

Belmont took a step forward, holding the dagger on his body. "I advise you to correct your attitude, Dark Ranger." He threatened, wanting to rush up and fight with Enya. Veronara noticed the smell of gunpowder between the two and immediately stopped in front of Enya.

"Enough, now is not the time for internal strife. Belmont, Liana has no intention of disrespecting Nathanos." Her voice was as low as possible to prevent the wither from noticed the abnormality here, but what she didn't know was that Nathanos heard every word that everyone said just now.

"It's better, you have to be clear that if there were no Lord Wither, we might still be hiding in Dalong County."

"It's not much better to come to the desert!"

"Liana, stop talking about it." Veronara reminded.

"Don't warn me, Veronara." Liana said with her hands crossed her chest, "If Nathanos can lead us to gain a place in this world, I will definitely follow him to the death. Everything must be judged by the results."

"Yes, I believe you will!" Belmont's eyes became colder. "Remember your oath!"

Not everyone would put hope on him. Nathanos knew that Liana was not the only one who questioned him, and perhaps many people didn't understand why they came here from afar. The Withered man stared at the slowly rising moon, and he remembered many leaders, such as Lothar and Turayan. He wanted to know what they would do when they were questioned by their soldiers...

"Time is up." Nathanos turned around and said to Belmont.

"We are ready, sir." said the Forsaken behind him, with unexpected tension in his voice. "Please order the attack!"

...

A shrill scream echoed in the Thunder Axe Fortress. Nathanos waved his sword to kill three orcs holding short daggers. He took a special eye to observe the flag of the orc army. The red flag seemed to be soaked with the blood of some creature. The pattern on it was a long blade, but none of the orcs here held such a weapon.

"Burn those flags!"

"Don't think about it!"

The voice came from right in front of him. Nathanos understood that this was not a good sign. Standing in front of him was a burly orc. He was a warlock. His dark green skin had infected many evil abilities.

"Who are you?" Nathanos asked.

"My name is Zugka!" The orcs' feet were fixed there as if they had roots. There were terrible soldiers everywhere, including orcs, and undead who launched an attack. Their feet were cut off, their blades were inserted into their chests, and their heads were chopped off. Such an ending was considered good.

Nathanos thought that the orc leader would definitely be the first to rush out to command the battle. But the guy in front of him had been hiding for a long time and did not appear until now. What exactly did he do? It was worth wasting so much precious time?

The body of an orc fell at his feet. Veronara occupied the high ground of the fortress and was shooting the enemy with precise bows and arrows.

The situation seemed to be tilting towards the Forgotten, but the violent shaking ground made Nathanos realize it. He seemed to have forgotten that the orc was a warlock!

Lightning bolts followed by deafening thunder again and again in the sky of the Thunder Axe Fortress.

A monster three times the height of an orc came out of the fortress. He had powerful wings. The fangs in his mouth could snipe the bones. Every time his feet took a step forward, they would sink into the sand, but with a gentle force, he would take a step forward.

After experiencing the ancient war, Nathanos would never know what kind of combat power the demon in front of him had.

Doomsday Guard! A huge Doomsday Guard! It seems that the orc who is laughing has sacrificed the souls of his fallen soldiers to this demon.

"It seems that it took you a lot of time to summon this guy!"

"The Demon King Azresok will send you to hell." Zugka shouted, as the demon seemed to understand the orcs' words. He rushed towards Nathanos with a green spotted machete in his hand, getting closer and closer to the Forgotten leader.

"Attack his eyes!" Nathanos shouted at Veronara. A bow and arrow flew towards Azresok. The Doomsday Guard quickly blocked the attack of the Dark Ranger with his weapons. He raised his head to find the guy who had attacked him, but he didn't notice that Nathanos had entered the blind spot of his vision.

The flaw in this moment is enough for Nathanos!

The demon had not noticed Veronara, and another bow and arrow flew in his eyes.

"A brainless guy!"

Azresok shouted in pain and took two steps back, dancing the machete in his hand, and several unlucky orcs died under the knife.

"Do you think this kind of attack can defeat him?" Zugka laughed. He knew that Azresok was just careless for a moment, and when he recovered from the pain, he would stomp the tiny undead. But an accident happened - he was wrong! Azresok not only did not stop the attack without discriminating the enemy, but became more and more crazy.

Zugka realized that something was wrong and looked at Nathanos angrily and puzzledly, and the other party had already pulled the bow and pointed the string at him at some point. "My arrow... is different from others!"

The orc only let out a scream, his eyes wide open to the maximum, and he fell to the ground without pain. Nathanos's bow and arrow shot through his head. Azresok bumped around, and even if he pulled the arrow out of his eyes, he could not stop the pain. Green blood flowed out of the cracks of his fingers covering his face. This pain did not come from the wound, but from every muscle and organ in the body. It was like the stinging sensation of an ant eating the heart.

Azresok could no longer bear the pain. He hit a stone stake in the fortress, then fell to the ground on his back, and hit Zugka's body.

Then, the two corpses rot quickly at a speed visible to the naked eye, and finally the exposed skeleton was black.

Everyone who saw this scene took a breath, and Nathanos also shouted surprise at his power. He rarely used it since he regained the Dark Bow that was attached to the power of the Lich King.
