Chapter 4 - Civilization within Oshugu

…………

Nathanos' sense of direction has always been very good. He can distinguish directions through wind, vegetation, and traces of movement of certain creatures. But what annoyed him was that when he led the way, he always felt that when he was leading the way, he always felt that behind him was staring at him. It was already night, and the sky in Nagran was decorated with bright stars, and there was a huge planet between the stars. The rolling Olympian energy formed a purple ribbon, flying in the sky like a Milky Way, making the scenery look more gorgeous.

It was originally a pleasant thing to go on a journey under such a beautiful scenery, but it felt even worse to be stared at. Finally, Nathanos couldn't help but stop and got angry at Merriel. He didn't have to look at it, but he could guess that only the mage dared to peek at him like this.

"What the hell are you looking at?"

When he heard this, Merell also listened, and the same was true for other death hunters.

"I'm just a little curious."

The Withered One narrowed his eyes. He never blamed the mage for his curiosity. Even when he was young, he was curious about anything he was unfamiliar with, but there was one thing that Nathanos couldn't stand, that was, others were curious about him, such as Merell now.

"What are you curious about?"

"Silizego." Merell pronounced this name.

Nathanos was very confused, "What's wrong with that dragon-throated orc?"

"Do you have any other purpose for sending a death hunter to follow him? Or is Sirezego dead?"

The mage's words—it should be said to be doubt—Nathanos understood. He snorted coldly and turned around, continuing to lead the way in front. Two hundred meters to the right of the army, three slit-hoofed cows were sleeping, making rumbles.

"In your eyes, I am so cruel?" Nathanos began to answer Merriel's question after taking a few steps.

"That's not, but you've always been meticulous in your work. It's not in your style to let Sirezego leave so hasty. When you propose to send a death hunter to follow him, I thought you were going to get rid of him."

"There is only one thing that will make me kill!" Nathanos turned around and scolded him. He was not only saying to Merell, but also warning the death hunters, "That is, someone has exposed the fact that the Forgotten exists."

"Afraid of being exposed?" Merriel smiled, "Are you afraid of being exposed by the Forsaken, or are you afraid of being exposed?"

"I'm tired of these problems with you." Nathanos breathed, and he said his heart, then threw out another sentence, "Whatever you think."

The two of them fell silent next, which was exactly what Nathanos wanted. He wanted to concentrate on finding Woshugu and answering Merriel's question would not help the future of the Forgotten, which he thought so now.

"A wilderness." Nathanos stopped for the second time, recalling Sirezego's words: After climbing a mountain, you will see the wilderness, and Woshugu is in the middle of the wilderness. "But there is nothing." The withered frowned. He saw trees and mountains, but no buildings or ruins.

"No." Merriel suddenly said, passing by Nathanos and coming to a few steps ahead of the Withered One. "I feel something is wrong. There!" The mage pointed to the mountain in the wilderness. At first, Nathanos did not find any abnormality, but when a ray of moonlight shone down, the Withered One almost opened his eyes wide. The surface of the mountain under the moonlight appeared silvery white. It was not a visual effect, nor an illusion caused by magic, but it was the surface color of the thing.

"It seems we're here!" Merriel concluded.

"You said you felt something was wrong." Nathanos looked at him, "Did you find anything?"

The mage closed his eyes and replied, as if he was still listening to the voice he said. "I heard the painful whine and the desolate howl, like music. If this is a song, it must be a song that makes people feel depressed."

"Is it a call? It seems that there are creatures inside Woshgu asking for help."

"That's true." Merriel nodded, "Are we going to act?"

"Of course." The Withered faced all the death hunters, "Woshugu is there, the Forsaken reinforcements on Azeroth are ready, they are waiting for us, and we must contact them as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will be difficult for us to gain a foothold in the outer realm. Now, when we come, we will take action and clear out all the guys who blocked the road in Woshugu."

...

The battle took place without warning, and Nathanos jumped forward, and the war cries rang out in the air. He took three big steps, grabbed a bandage man's throat, and began to strangle desperately.

The Withered Blinked and found that the only thing he held in his hands was air. This world was really magical. Those bandages seemed to not exist. It was difficult to hurt them with simple physical attacks, and Merriel's magic was more effective for them. After they died, they were shining and nothing left.

In addition to these bandage people, there are also some void monsters that can only be summoned by warlocks, which are similar to the water elements of the mage.

“The entrance is there!”

When Nathanos put a Void Walker down to the ground, he heard the shout of a death hunter. He looked in a blink of an eye and saw that under Woshugu's majestic body, there was an undiscoverable cave, which made people wonder whether it could directly reach the interior of Woshugu, but now it is not enough to control it.

"Meril, come with me! Everyone else gathers and guard the entrance!" The Withered One ordered. After hearing this, the mage summoned a water element and asked him to deal with the enemies entrenched around Woshgu on his behalf.

"We are not dealing with ordinary beasts, but some strange things." Merriel came to Nathanos and reminded him. Looking at the other party's puzzled eyes, he continued: "I guess there must be something that attracts them, but they are only outside and do not enter Woshok..."

"Do you suspect there are enemies in this cave?"

The mage nodded, and Nathanos looked forward angrily. He hoped Merriel was wrong, but the fact was the opposite. When the Withered One ran to the fork in front, he happened to meet a terrible figure. The other party was obviously shocked to see him, but Nathanos did not hesitate. Without any warning, he jumped forward, knocked him to the ground, grabbed the guy's throat, and began to slam it desperately. It was not until this time that he realized that he was catching a demon and a doomsday guard. It was not surprising to see the demon in the outer realm. He saw many demons in the Hellfire Fortress, but Nathanos was different. The land of this place was fertile and did not seem to have been polluted by evil energy.

"It's a demon." Merell said in surprise, but Nathanos wanted him to do something real than his late reaction. As the Withered One stabbed Salamani into the guy's heart, another Doomsday Guard emerged from the corner in front, looking turmoil that disturbed him.

"Kill it quickly!"

Merriel needed no reminder, a hot fireball hit the demon, and the opponent was knocked away and hit the wall behind him.

"Look here!" Merell said in surprise. He hadn't noticed at first, and his and Nathanos's attention was attracted by the demons. "These..."

The Witherer made sure that the demon who was controlled by him died and immediately walked over, and what Merriel found was equally shocked. It was the product of a smart civilization!

The walls have been carefully polished, with purple borders, the fine lines on them are neither like waves nor rules, and do not belong to any race in Azeroth. The combination of different styles hides an orderly design.

"What is this?" Before Nathanos could figure it out, Merriel suddenly turned around and walked towards the demon's crutch just now.
