Chapter 23 - Lusenken

…………

The first ray of dawn shone on the animal skin above the head, dyeing the dark gray ground golden. The air was frozen, and the only sounds that could be heard were the collision of the wild boars in hell for food.

Oronoke sat cross-legged in the tent, with two pieces of the curse code in front of his knees. He meditated with his eyes closed, and the rise of the sun often brought peace to the orcs... but today it was not.

His second child died and had returned to the arms of his ancestors. This was tantamount to him, a tragedy of a white-haired man sending a black-haired man, but Oronoke did not feel sad about it, at least not now! The old orc thought that maybe it would take long before he would be with Atol.

He had already washed and sorted out, waiting for the last piece of debris to be delivered to him.

…………

Nathanos ran all the way back to Oronoke's residence, and encountered many vicious creatures wandering over Shadow Moon Valley. The most thrilling one was when he encountered a huge double-headed dog.

Finally, he saw the opening of the Oronoke residence. The Withered Sighed, gritted his teeth and walked the last section of the road.

Before this, he had reached an agreement with Oronoke. The curse code would belong to him. Now he intends to cash it out. At the same time, it is time for him to face the conditions that the orcs have not spoken.

He slowly approached his destination along the mountain path, although it was unnecessary and not at all. Nathanos still wanted to think about how to make the Euronoke Festival pass. If he didn't ask about his son's death, the old orc would probably doubt whether the soul under his dead body still had mercy.

Finally, Nathanos came to Oronoke's residence. He saw Glomto feeding the secret howl. The orcs also noticed him at this moment. After a long and still moment, Glomto gave Nathanos a look silently, and his father was inside the tent.

As he walked to the door of the tent, the sound of dry and hard dirt shattered. He walked in.

"The last piece of fragment," said Nathanos, who placed the fragments between the other two pieces. The Withered sighed in his heart, but he just clenched his teeth on his lips to express his condolences to the father who had lost his child.

"I envy Ator," said Oronoke. "He sacrificed for the cause of justice, and everything he did not do for atonement, but for glory and the recognition of his ancestors."

"If I had gone earlier..."

"This is fate." Orunoke interrupted Nathanos. He did not need sympathy.

The orc's eyes passed through the cloak behind Nathanos. His eyes did not reflect any scenery, but there was something that ordinary things could not give to people. Unconsciously, when Oronoke saw three pieces of curse code, he smiled.

“I need some time to finish the final work.”

"What does the final work mean?"

A burst of pain ran through Oronoke. "Piece the pieces together." He replied simply.

"What else?" Nathanos asked, "you didn't say what you wanted to do in the end, and didn't have it from the beginning."

In a trance, Oronoke remembered the past twenty years, and most of his time spent repentance, and now he has finally ended it with the opportunity.

"A battle."

Nathanos narrowed his eyes and looked at Oronoke. It was hard to imagine that the orcs could have experienced a battle. "What kind of battle is worth facing you in person?"

Oronoke lowered his head and smiled, answering in a calm voice: "I will find the tradition that was abandoned by orcs many years ago." He looked up at Nathanos. "The beginning of all sins is also the end. I will face Lusenken, the king of flames."

Nathanos stood in the dark shadow. The orc looked so sad that he was shocked. Both of them were seeking redemption, so why did they feel this way when they saw Orunoke?

…………

Under the peak of Gul'dan's Hand, the green fel energy crackled. Lusenken, taller than the mammoth, walked out of it. This was a huge moving city, and every limb supporting it was thicker than the human body. The fel energy immersed in its body, and looked like a thick layer on the surface of its skin. This was an ancient element, which was once the object of worship by the orcs, but now it was more like a weapon of war, with the raging flames on its body looking beyond imagination. It was looking down at Nathanos and Oronoke.

The incarnation of the flames approached step by step, just like the sea of fire in the forest approaching. Nathanos's attention was focused on one place. He made no sound or movement. He could only feel that Lusenken felt different from any other element. The consciousness of the King of Flame overwhelmingly crushed everything.

The majestic creature in front of him made Oronoke gasp. Nathanos glanced at him. Was he afraid or was he heartbroken by thinking about the mistakes made by the orcs in the past?

The wither came back to his senses and remained motionless in front of the slowly moving Lusenken. There was no fear on his face, but a light of ambition flashed.

"It seems that it's about to start." He spoke, trying to remind Oronoke that this was his last chance to escape. When the fight started, Nathanos would be difficult for him to protect his safety.

Gul'dan's reply has been under the peak of Gul'dan's Hand. He has to say the same thing countless times every day, as if cursing the world, saying: No one can forget me, no one!

You beat Gul'dan! Nathanos thought so in his heart. The moment he saw Lusenken, he understood how Shadow Moon Valley was destroyed. This is not an enemy that humans can face. Its body is so big that even if a mortal raised his head and saw it above his head, it would be difficult to see everything clearly.

Lusenken stopped in front of Oronoke, and he knew that it was the orc who summoned it out.

The threat of the King of Fire drowned Nathanos's mind and almost crushed him. Orunoke felt as if all the words were erupting out of his eyes, tearing open his fingers and flowing outward.

"How dare you disturb my rest, mortal!"

The sound echoed on this earth.

Nathanos just saw Oronoke's eyes rolling up and his head was tilted behind him. Now the old man and beast were speaking in an excited voice, as if evil could grab his voice and turn himself into words.

"I came here to end you, Lusenken. For the mistakes my people have made in the past, everything will end today.
