Chapter 2 - The Blightcaller's Record
…………
This is a magical continent. Unlike anywhere I have been to. Panda people have traveled all over Pandalia, the most common race here, but it is the most attractive point. They give me a novel feeling, and the process of understanding them has made me temporarily forget the disputes brewing on other continents of Azeroth. I was shocked that this situation occurred. After sleep, I would spend a lot of time designing scary plans to implement them accurately. Now, a race that is not understood by the world has washed away my thoughts that have gradually formed over the years.
This is no coincidence!
I have been observing them for a while. Overall, they are a little...unspeakable. Compared to the dwarves, their love for wine is almost crazy; compared to the night elves, they also know how to cherish nature. However, they are completely different from the two races affiliated with the alliance. To be more precise, they are very unique.
The unique thing is that this race is very clean, and I can't find a more suitable vocabulary for describing them. Other races in Azeroth have more or less dark history. Such as the Elf Queen Azshara, the civil war of the dwarves, the horror totems of the Taurus clan, Kel Thuzad among humans, as for the orcs and dragon clans... I don't want to mock them anymore.
The history of the Panda people is comparable to that of the night elves, which surprised me very much. I once met a Panda people in the ancient war. Although it was just a one-time encounter and this race did not impress me too deeply. I thought they were very rare and continued to do so. It was not until I came to this continent that I realized my mistake.
It is difficult to understand them, and first of all, I have to learn their words. The words of all races in the world are more or less connected, but the Panda people are different. Their culture is also isolated from the fog of Pandaria. I occasionally find stone tablets with words in the wild, but I don’t know any of these “symbols”. Since it is certain that the panda people on this continent have never seen the undead, I cannot directly seek their help, which may cause them to panic and hostility.
After a few days of careful observation, I found that pandas often pass by the crisscrossing wilderness in the jade forest. They usually don’t appear alone (like the excitement), have companions along the way, and always like to speak loudly. Although I don’t know what they said, their hands gave me some tips. Over time, I changed my thinking. I did not think about the complicated words, but explored their language from their daily lives. When they were eating, brewing wine, or being angry, happy... The emotions they showed were the guidance for me.
Once I saw a young panda man who was led by his father to the school. I was surprised that when I was alive, the legal system made the entire kingdom not have a public school. When I was young, I didn't understand this until I came into contact with Uther and Arthas that I realized that it was not the king's fault, but that the class created that situation. The powerful nobles could afford the best private teachers; some small families knew how to send their children to churches to cultivate power relations. As for the descendants of the common people, their parents would rather let them live for the family's livelihood. Now I think about it, I am very lucky.
There is more than that to surprise me. The school has stored many panda children. If there is no distinction between high and low in them, what about their parents? I look for the gap between a few older panda people. Some of their clothes have pudding sewn on them, while others have clean and elegant robes. I think this is the gap, but this gap seems to be meaningless in Pandaria. People with different clothing will not be classified because of this. Panda people with rough clothes can cook tea, understand the rhythm, and act very appropriately; Panda people with beautiful pearl robes can also do farm work, hold soup spoons, and drive sheep and cattle.
This phenomenon gave me a bold and unrealistic idea: their lives have no classes or nobles, and all people are equal.
At first I felt crazy about this idea and even ridiculous. During the observation of the school, I learned that the Panda people also had rulers, and they called them "emperors", which I think is the meaning of a king. Since there are rulers, there should be systems, but an amazing fact overturned my conclusion: their last emperor passed away ten thousand years ago. In the next ten thousand years, no one stood up to lead them.
I know very well how the king's death will affect the kingdom he ruled, especially when they are not dead. King Ryan of Stormwind and King Terenas of Lordaeron, they all died at the hands of those they trusted, and then their kingdom was collapsed in an instant. I have seen the miserable situation of the refugees in Stormwind, and I have also seen the depression after the destruction of Lordaeron. Even though the Scourge Legion has been defeated for so many years, the kingdom has shown no sign of revival. But why did the Panda society not experience turmoil in ten thousand years? What kind of wisdom is guiding them to face life with a peaceful attitude? I really want to know the answer, and the forgotten ones also need this answer.
I don't know what happened to the forgotten people during the time I left. Some people must have complained about me and accused me of disappearing for no reason. In fact, I never thought about letting the forgotten people exist because of me, nor did I ask them to have absolutely and completely obey me. So those who have objections to me were not expelled, and they were still accepted. But they were still confused and even afraid of the future, and they would fall into madness without guidance. Therefore, they became increasingly dependent on me. They longed for me to understand their demands, even though they didn't know what they wanted. But the Panda people might be able to give them an answer - what they lack was only spiritual satisfaction.
Should the Forgotten learn about the attitude of the Panda people? Should they make changes? These questions are still to be discussed, but I feel that my thoughts have been answered with affirmativeness. Therefore, I am increasingly curious about this race. Everything about them is worth exploring.
