Chapter Nineteen - Retreat
…………
"Sir!" A Forsaken ran in, and the situation inside made him think he had entered an important meeting. Tatsell and others looked at him.
"Sorry, sir."
"You're forgiven, soldier." Tatsell said, "What's the news?"
"Haker, the captain of the Witherer, has fought with the defenders of Nanhai Town. The Break and the Furious Soul request to support the battlefield."
"No!" Jaina's face was pale and she shook her head quickly. "Can't fight."
"Tatsel!" Merriel shouted the name of the fleet commander. The person in his mouth was tense like a bowstring.
"Let them not act rashly." In Jaina's opinion, this was perhaps the wisest decision the commander had made in a while.
...
At the beginning of the battle, RedPas was always looking for the position of the Forgotten Commander. Judging from his experience in fighting the natural disaster, as long as the leader is eliminated, the remaining enemies will be defeated without attack.
But he did not see anyone who looked like the one who commanded the battle. His eyes had looked around many times, and the undead looked for the living to fight, while humans and dwarves fought for the Forgotten. Those who held weapons were definitely not. The commanders of the undead generally knew magic. Even the Death Knights, their spells were much more dangerous than swords.
The body of a undead sailor fell at his feet.
Redpas heard a burst of sucking sounds, turned his head and saw a guy hiding under the black robe half kneeling on the ice. In front of him was a human soldier who had just died. Redpas could not read it wrong. The soldier had something like a blood vessel drawn out of his body, and was constantly transporting blood.
The entire world of RedPass erupted. He could accept the fact that his soldiers were sacrificed, but could not stand the result of their bodies being blasphemed.
"That must be their commander!"
Redpass rushed over, and the sound of running and fighting was everywhere on the battlefield. As long as he resisted the roar, the guy who was immersed in his blood would not notice it.
As he expected, when Redpass came to the distance between the enemy and the first five yards, the black-robed undead recovered. The human raised his sword with one hand and shouted loudly: "Go to hell, monster!"
...
A female priest from Forsaken ran towards the Sword of Withering. She desperately urged her legs to speed up. Her expression looked shocked and angry.
"Sir Tatsel!" she shouted loudly, and under the boat, her leader naturally could not hear it. The two sailors on the boat responded to her. "I want to see Chief Tatsel!"
A rope was put down, and the female priest climbed up clumsyly. She almost fell down several times, but fortunately, the Forsaken people who were receiving her were also desperately pulling the rope.
As soon as he got on the deck, the female pastor started to yell before he could thank him. "I want to meet the sir, I want to meet her."
She was immediately brought to Tatsel's conference room.
"What's wrong with you, Pastor?" Tatsell noticed that the emblem on her belonged to the Withered.
Has Hackel been defeated? Have humans already started a counterattack? The defense of Nanhai Town should not be so strong.
"The undead-I didn't recognize him until his hood fell-I could hardly believe it."
"Make it clear!" Tatsel shouted.
"It's Salein, Lord. There are those vampires in Captain Hacker's troops."
"How is this possible?" Tatsel couldn't believe his ears. Even Merrell was stunned, and everyone became at a loss.
"It's true. I saw a human being sneak attacking that guy. He looked like an elf, with blood on the corner of his mouth..." The female priest couldn't continue to say anything, and even began to feel disgusted.
This fact hit Tatsel's nerves. For the Forgotten, the name Salein was extremely dangerous. In the war against the Lich King, Salein created countless killings and destruction. Nathanos once explicitly forbidden the Forgotten to have any contact with the group of vampires.
Now they actually appeared under their noses, and Tatsell said he could not accept anything.
The Forgotten Fleet has a strict personnel division system. Each ship must be registered before traveling: the number of personnel on board and the allocation ratio is what is the case, and the captain of each ship needs to verify and report it to the fleet commander.
"Hakel?" Tatsel thought of the problem.
"Now you believe it," said Merell. "Even your troops have been smuggled into the spies of the Scourge. They are disguising as our members, killing in front of the Forgotten and humans, trying to inspire the bloodthirsty side of the dead, and completely subvert the living's impression of the Forgotten."
"This kind of thing won't happen. I will solve all the hidden dangers myself," said Tatsell. "Blow the retreat horn and order the archers to prepare."
Hearing the second half of the order, Merriel was anxious, "What are you going to do?"
"Make up for my fault. Ms. Prodmore is here, so I can witness it with one more person." Tatsel glanced at Jaina. When she came to the deck, three clear, long horn sounds sounded from the Withering Sword.
Everyone heard this sound, and the Forgotten ones even understood the meaning.
Now let's see who will accept the summons and return to the killing. Tatsel thought.
...
In the middle of this battlefield, Hacker stared at the rear. "It's impossible," she said. But she knew that it was a true fact.
The order to retreat has been issued...
"Retreat! Retreat!" a Forsaken turned around and shouted.
Hacker rushed over and kicked this traitorous guy down. She was the one who gave orders.
"I'm sorry, captain." said the soldier, "but I didn't hear you, I thought you had..."
"I will not die before killing all humans." Hacker cursed, but the consequences caused by this soldier are irreversible. Many Forgotten soldiers are retreating.
"You're not going to retreat?" the soldier asked in surprise.
"The enemy has not been eliminated yet, and the Forgotten One's victory is near, so why retreat?"
"But... the fleet commander..."
As if to respond to his entanglement, Hacker shot down the Alliance soldiers who rushed forward.
"See it? They won't let us go, now the only thing we can do is to defeat them."
