Chapter Forty-Three - Bold Ideas

…………

It should be the time for sunrise now. Nathanos looked up and stared at the sky, and could not see any sign of sunlight breaking through the clouds.

The Shadow Sect landed on Thunder Island three days ago. At the beginning, they caught the Zandala Troll and the Mogu tribe off guard, but due to the huge gap in troops, they had to find a hidden place to regroup.

Scout Tao Ya discovered that there was a cave outside Thor's fortress, which happened to be suitable as a temporary camp. When he entered here, Zhu Talan named the cave Yinlian Cave.

This is indeed a good terrain deep, surrounded by swamps, and only a small path can be accessed, which is easy to defend but difficult to attack.

"The palace of Thor is full of Zandala trolls and Mogu. They alone make it difficult for us to deal with, not to mention that there are unknown dangers in the palace..." Zhu Talan stared at the map placed on the stone, and with the faint candlelight, he was talking to Tao Ya and a female panda man named Yariya Saint Word - he heard that she was Chen Storm's companion.

"Maybe we should contact the alliance and the tribe's allies..." Tao Ya made a suggestion, but was corrected by Zhu Talan.

"We just have a common enemy with them, the Tao Ya. The Shadow Sect will not form an alliance with anyone, otherwise we will be involved in their disputes."

The panda scout nodded and saw Nathanos coming from the corner of her eyes.

"You Panda people have a saying..." The Withered One added the topic. "Battle the snake and hit seven inches. From the perspective of military strength, we are indeed not as good as Thor's army. But we have the initiative to attack, and they can only defend passively. Therefore, every attack we will hit Thor's pain point."

"We think the same thing, the Withering One." Zhu Talan's hood rose and fell. "I have already figured out the point of the primary attack. It is the Lightning Vein Mine, which is Thor's arsenal, very hidden." He gestured to Tao Ya with his eyes.

The female panda man continued: "We found that it was located on a cliff west of the palace, near the coast, and the fleet of the blood elves was there." Tao Ya added, asking Zhu Talan whether he could cooperate with Xin Duolei in this operation.

"If they are willing to help, of course we welcome it." The head of the sect replied, and then asked Nathanos: "What are your plans, The Wither? I feel like you have your own ideas."

"It's a secret, head of the sect. But my people will focus on attacking Zandala's port and cutting off their supply lines."

"Tao Ya said that Zandala is coming to a huge fleet. Can your people succeed?"

The undead wearing Shadow-Zuozang costume smiled. "It's better to be broken than to be full. It's just a matter of time."

"Then... there will be a lot of people who will die." Yaria whispered.

Sacrifice is inevitable, no one wants to witness it, but the god of death is different. Nathanos heard the arrogant laugh.

The laughter covered the voices of Zhu Talan and others. The head was shaking his head; Tao Ya was saying something to him; Yaria was full of sorrow.

Nathanos turned and left the Shadow Camp to find a secluded place.

The wind on Thunder Island never stopped, and the dry trees blew "cracked" sounded. But compared to the storm, this could be considered quiet.

"Bonsandy." The Withered One said the name of Death Loa and felt that the God of Death was behind him.

A gray mist condensed into shape, and the wind blew even more rapidly, like crying and complaining, as if he was running away, indicating his arrival.

Then there was a smug chuckling. Death's hand was placed on Nathanos's shoulder, although the Withered One had no feeling.

"Oh, oh, oh~, the owner of the Forgotten finally remembered me, the old man."

Nathanos turned his head and glanced at him, but he deliberately avoided the undead's eyes and flashed to the other side.

The wither said, "I haven't forgotten the promise between you and me."

"I saw it, I saw it." Bonsandy floated in front of Nathanos and approached him. The tips of the two almost touched each other. "I'm so happy. If your guy attacked earlier, I would be even happier."

"You are not only greedy, but there is no end." Nathanos turned around and walked to the other side. "All you want is the souls of the Zandala trolls. My people will make strict plans to encircle them, but that will take time."

"And it can reduce your casualties, right?" Bonsandy saw through his little thoughts, and raised a finger to signal his left arm. "Do you really have that patience, Nathanos? Think about waiting for your reward, you will find that this sacrifice is not worth mentioning at all."

"Yes, I called you to remind you, don't forget what you promised me!"

"Of course I won't forget. The deal between us is very strong." Bonsandy leaned against the tree and said no longer silly words. "But I still want to remind you that it is dangerous to peek into the secrets of death."

Death's eyes burning with blue flames stared at the back of his head until his image was blown away by a gust of wind.

"I've never been afraid of danger." Nathanos knew he was gone. "Diet, I can't take me away."

...

The day finally came. Seven undead destroyers appeared in the waters of Thunder Island. Tatsel, who was standing at the bow of the ship, knew that this was just a vanguard, and more than fifty warships filled with soldiers and engineering equipment were waiting thirty nautical miles away, commanded by Veronara. As long as the sound of artillery fire was heard, the Dark Ranger would order the entire army to be dispatched.

Before their arrival, Tatsel had the confidence to disrupt Zandala's fleet with these flexible ships.

"First mate, go and issue orders. Let everyone prepare for battle. The artillery fire is in place. In addition, all the crossbows are aimed at the sky, and once the enemy's winged knights approach, they will be shot down."

"Is it wise to attack head-on, commander?" asked the first mate. Seeing Zandala's huge fleet and the hordes of pterodactyls in the sky, even the dead would be a little scared.
