Chapter 53 - Thunder and Lightning
…………
"So, did you help me clean up the garbage at the door? I have to say 'thank you' to you."
"That's the end. Do you think I will let you go straight in? This bridge can be rebuilt, but you only have one life!"
...
Sylvanas woke up from a coma, his whole body ached, and he couldn't believe he was still alive. At the last moment before her coma, Thor suddenly appeared and destroyed the Storm Bridge leading to the palace, catching them off guard.
The people from the Alliance and the Horde fell below the palace. If Thor planned to kill them, his plan would be lost.
Around Sylvanas, Aurelia and Jaina also recovered their minds, but there were more or less scratches on their bodies.
"It's so glad we're not dead yet," Aurelia said gasping.
Thanks to Jaina's slow-falling technique, Sylvanas asked the female mage with his eyes, and the other party just shook his head.
"Let me find a way to treat it." She shouted, hoping that more people could hear it. Some must have not woken up yet, and some might never wake up again.
Sylvanas treated the injury with a bandage and shared the cake drinks made by the mage with the others.
While the rest of the room, Aurelia and Jaina came to her.
The female mage asked, "Where is this?"
"I don't know, but we have to go back." The Regent looked up at the place where they fell. The height was not out of reach. She began to think about how to climb up.
"No." Sylvanas frowned and focused his eyes on the darkness ahead. "You feel it carefully."
Aurelia didn't know what Sylvanas wanted them to feel at first, but when her hair was gently blown and her face felt like she was being touched, she reacted: "Is there wind?"
Jaina nodded: "This is like a tunnel, but not artificial. There are no traces of axe on the wall."
"Maybe it's another way to enter the palace."
Aurelia raised her eyebrows and looked at Sylvanas. "You mean, Thor knocked us down and let us go on another path to his throne?"
"I believe my judgment, although it sounds ridiculous, cannot deny this possibility. Perhaps it was his unintentional mistake."
"You are still so confident, sister." Aurelia smiled. No matter how long it has been, her sister has always maintained a spirit of adventure. However, she herself has become conservative and more steady. The identity of the Regent forced her to make judgments based on the overall worldview. So she can no longer move forward without regard for the consequences like Sylvanas.
Sylvanas pretended that he had not heard her and turned around to seek Jaina's opinion.
Jaina thought for a few seconds and replied, "I can teleport us back to the Alliance camp, but then it will be a long time to rush over and attack the Thunder Thunder Thunder again. And the bridge leading to the Thunder Palace has been destroyed. We may have no choice."
"Then listen to me. We always have to give it a try." Sylvanas cleared his throat, "Get together!"
All the resting adventurers stood up.
"No matter what, there must be danger ahead. This tunnel is not that simple." Jaina smelled an unknown smell from the air.
"Compared with Thor, no matter how great the danger is, it seems insignificant." General Ranger of the Silver Covenant took a deep breath. "Let's go."
...
"The two lords, a thousand soldiers are all ready, hiding in the dense forest on the island. In addition, the catapults and crossbows have also been hidden and docked in the encirclement of the alliance and the tribe." The brief report of the messenger made Veronara and Tatsel look solemn.
So far, the Dark Ranger Commander had not figured out what the Withered means, and the Fleet Commander was also surprised when she told Tatsel the strange order.
But it is too late to regret now. The troops have been mobilized and appear to be hostile to the alliance and the tribe.
"Did they notice it?" Veronara asked.
The messenger replied: "No, our encirclement is outside the scope of their scouts' reconnaissance."
"I know, I'll send the orders, and everyone should not act rashly."
The messenger nodded and rode his skeleton horse and quickly returned to the jungle.
"Where is your navy? Are you ready?" Veronara saw that there seemed to be one-third of the warships missing from the port.
"They dock on the path that the Alliance and the Blood Elves return. They are twenty nautical miles away from Thor Island and will not be discovered."
In other words, it is too late for the Alliance and the Horde to escape now? Veronara pondered for a moment and questioned: "To be honest, I really don't want to execute this command of the Withered One. I really don't know what he is going to do."
"I think you know what he is going to do, but you just can't be sure," said Tatsell.
This sentence made the Dark Ranger curl his lips in dissatisfaction, "What about you? Do you agree with his decision?"
Tatsel shrugged. "I have no good feelings for the Alliance and the Tribe, and it doesn't matter whether they are eliminated or not. But this is Nathanos' order, and I'd better carry out it."
"But have you ever thought that he is going to declare war on the alliance and the tribe?" Veronara tried her best to restrain herself, but she still couldn't suppress her refutation. Yes, she felt that the Withered Decision was wrong.
"Why are you becoming the same as Merrell?" Veronara was surprised by Tatsel's sudden question. "Nathanos has done too many things that ordinary people cannot understand. What's so strange about this?"
Veronara fell into silence, hugged her arms in front of her chest, and pursed her lips tightly.
Seeing her depressed look, Tatsel simply persuaded her from the perspective of tactical value: "If Lord Nathanos is really ready to attack the Alliance Tribe, why not take advantage of the fact that their kings and chiefs are fighting in Pandalia to attack Orgrimmar or Stormwind? Instead, waste time on Thunder Island?"
Verona Ra's eyes lit up and she looked up at Tatsel. "You mean..."
"I think the behavior of the Withered Lord is like guarding against the Alliance and Xindore."
...
Every battle is long and difficult. All kinds of enemies emerge one after another. No one would have thought of so many secrets lurking under the Thunder Palace, giant tortoises digging through tunnels, multi-headed snakes lurking deep in the depths, big birds occupying the platform of the monument and thriving, and a one-eyed monster fish that seems to be a demon but actually uses void magic.
Sylvanas felt very disgusting. Thor's palace was majestic and magnificent, but it was a fortress full of sin and terrible behavior.
The shadow of Titan Technology can be seen everywhere in the palace. The Creator must have left these things to bring more benefits to Azeroth, but Thor's subordinates chose to rebel. Dark Will! Thor's followers used the terrifying machinery created by the Titan device.
Sylvanas was glad that they were able to stop Emperor Mogu’s crazy actions in time. If the dark will is used on the battlefield, the consequences would be unimaginable.
After so long in Pandalia, everyone in the alliance and the tribe met the Mogu women for the first time. One controlled the flames and the other used the shadows and it took a lot of effort to defeat them. But they were also the last barrier in front of Thunder.
Through the stairs, the surging energy and sounds pointed out the way for those who wanted to defeat Thor. The end was undoubtedly a wide space. Sylvanas had expected it long ago, but at the moment she witnessed it with her own eyes, she underestimated Thor's abilities and ambitions.
The space is not closed, and below is the bottomless abyss. The surrounding stone walls are covered with hideous magic murals. On the square platform in the center, lightning-emitting lamppost-shaped devices stand on the four corners. No one except their users know what they are used for.
Compared to Sylvanas and Gianna, the one who touched the most is Aurelia. Just looking at her identity, she and Thor are both rulers of the same clan, but just because of their respective residences, Aurelia cannot say that she is small, maybe she is not even as good as a speck of dust.
Only now did everyone realize that this is the real Throne of Thunder and Lightning!
"Look!" Jaina pointed at a figure on the platform, which was Thor.
Emperor Mogu was absorbing the power of those lamppost-type devices, and he did not realize that the enemy was already close.
Everyone triggered the transmission device and surrounded it.
"We not only cleaned up the garbage outside the palace, but also helped you clean the entire palace, and you were the only one who could not afford to do so."
Hearing the voice of an outsider, Thor stopped the movement in front of him, and when he turned around, dozens of people appeared on the platform.
My subordinates were all knocked down? Thor thought incredibly. Although he was unwilling to believe it, if the Iron Dome, the Dark Will, and the Queen of the Mogu were still there, they would definitely not let these invaders arrive in front of him.
Lightning was beating in his palms, and no one dared to challenge him for a long time. He wanted to see what these people looked like, but a human girl dared to release the spell first and freeze his hands.
"What a courage!" Thor's voice echoed around, easily shattering the ridiculous magic, and raised his hand and pointed.
"Gianna, be careful." Sylvanas threw down the female mage with force. If she took a step further, the sudden drop of thunder would definitely take Gianna's life.
From learning magic with Anthonydas to now being recognized as Azeroth's leading spellcaster, Jaina has always known her power. When she saw Thor break her magic in the blink of an eye, shock and fear surrounded her at the same time.
"Is it okay?" Sylvanas helped her stand up. Jaina's face was bloodless, and shaking her head was the biggest reaction she could make.
The King of Thunder and Lightning laughed like a trembling body and mind, slowly raised his hands, and a strong wind hangs around him. He said, "I am the God of Thunder, the Lord of the Lord of the Lord of the Killing God, you have made a terrible mistake."
Emperor Mogu smashed the ground of the platform with his sledgehammer and shot out a lightning bolt to rush towards the enemy. Sylvanas only heard a deafening explosion. The people who were struck by the lightning flew out, with their burnt flesh and armor on their bodies, drew a crooked arc and fell into the abyss below.
For a moment, Sylvanas felt that they had no chance of defeating Thor, but she quickly denied this idea and stayed there and left fate to death. She didn't know whether Jaina and Aurelia felt despair, and she didn't want to see the expressions of the two people at this moment. She was the commander of this operation.
"Attack!" the female elf shouted loudly.
Seeing that his power was not scaring the invading enemy, Thor was shocked and soon he burst into laughter. Emperor Mogu jumped up - lightning fell into his footprints, and he descended in the center of the platform, the hammer in his hand flew up and down, smashing around, knocking back one guy after another who was approaching him.
"You want to challenge me in my temple? Recognize your stupidity!"
With a loud bang, the area under Thor's feet rose, and two devices with jade handles rose out. He held them tightly, his whole body wrapped in lightning.
Uninterrupted lightning, and electric sparks randomly hit the entire platform. Blue and white elemental creatures appeared from the four-corner lamppost-type device to attack the flesh and blood creatures. There was also the current released from Thor's body, shooting down one enemy after another down the platform.
"Don't let those elements approach and block them. The caster attacks the devices in the corner with all their might." Sylvanas ordered.
Thor heard her voice and was sure that it was the female elf wearing a blue cloak who was commanding the group of ants.
"You are useless, taste the power of the sky." Thor increased the power of guiding energy. His attacks became increasingly dense.
Sylvanas struggled to dodge, and saw Jaina release a giant fireball she had never seen before. It destroyed the device that generated the element with a bang. "Well done, Jaina, but do you have a way to stop him?"
“No need to stop it.”
Jaina's answer stunned the female elf.
"He is using his power. Those devices should just guide his power and release it in a stronger situation."
"Tell us briefly what to do." Aurelia jumped in front of Jaina and shot the lightning spark that flew towards the female mage with an arrow.
"His power may be endless, but those devices can't last long."
That is to persevere! The three of them had this idea at the same time.
The King of Thunder and Lightning roared. Titan's technology was hot and it was about to overload. And the enemy was at least half left.
His hand slowly loosened, and the chaos on the platform ended.
"At present, attack him."
All kinds of spells of all sizes flew towards him, and the blade of the cold weapon slashed on him. The pain was ashamed of him, but it was also the second way to help him activate the power in his body.
"It's not over!" he roared, and as his anger surged, lightning bolts stirred in the air.
