Chapter 54 - Ritual Storm(1/2)

…………

The sky changes back and forth in darkness and purple. The voice of Aochsion echoes the thunder. Whenever a lightning flashes by, you can see the shadows of the Twilight Dragon and the Clouds Flying Dragon from behind the dark clouds.

The king of lightning came from the palace and roared angrily. The sound waves were filled with strong winds, which forced Nathanos to block his face with his hands.

Thor seemed to be forced into a desperate situation. The storm clouds responded to his rage in war. The sky above Nathanos' head became darker and darker.

"Start up, kid." He said with his head raised, not loud, but Audroksion could definitely hear it. "Thor is about to fall."

More colorful dragon powers pass through the dark clouds and land on fire meteorites and hit the towers around the palace.

Almost after a loud thunder, the huge snake-shaped body broke through the clouds first, fell down vertically, and hit a spike tower. Narak struggled in pain for a few more times, and lost his anger. Its wounds pounded lightning and mist, slowly rising into the air. The wind became even more bitter.

Azorksion landed in front of Nathanos in the form of a mortal, and cracks appeared on the ground beneath his feet. Twilight Dragon knelt on one knee, gasping for breath.

"Are you injured?" asked the Withering.

Azorksion quickly wiped away the blood from the corner of his mouth, but Nathanos still saw it.

"It uses different powers than dragon powers, and is a little more difficult than Deathwing."

"You've done a good job. Take a break and prepare to intercept Karegoth."

Twilight Dragon nodded.

...

"I... just want to complete the missions of the gods."

...

Suddenly, a blue and white light column rushed out of the palace and reached the sky. The moment he reached the sky, the light column spread to all sides, spreading like life, sweeping over Audroksion's head. Everything calmed down wherever he passed.

Audroksion didn't know what was going on, only one consciousness reminded him that Thor was defeated.

The wind stopped, the thunder in the sky also ended, and the entire island seemed to be silent with the fall of the king.

Azorksion turned around in confusion to look at Nathanos.

The undead was looking up at the sky with a smile. Twilight Dragon was even more confused. This was inconsistent with the expected situation. When Thor was defeated, everything became more stable, not more chaotic.

"Father?"

Nathanos made a "shhh" sound that he didn't speak.

"Feeling with your heart, Aochsion."

Feel...

In just a moment, his hair was blown up and was pulled apart. Audroksion slowly widened his eyes.

The wind is testing. Test whether their shackles are broken? Have the person who manipulated the storm fallen? The answer is yes. The wind begins to accelerate. The sound of the sick wood being shaken one after another.

Audroksion didn't know what would happen next. He could use the power of time to stop everything, but his left shoulder was held down by one hand.

Nathanos nodded at him. Now.

"Go and stop Karegoth."

This may be the last order he can give.

Azorksion nodded without hesitation. He walked through the undead, restored the dragon form at a distance, and handed over the entire courtyard to Nathanos.

...

He is the only one left.

The wind became more and more violent, and Nathanos realized in surprise that he felt the cold, the bone-banging, making his body tremble... chill.

He didn't want to move a step, nor did he want to let his consciousness tell him to hurry up and start the ceremony. Nathanos didn't know if this was because of fatigue. When people were tired, people didn't want to do anything. But the forgotten shouldn't have these strange feelings. Perhaps he could no longer describe a feeling.

Nathanos found himself in his heart. Now, he was about to make the most dangerous decision of his life. There was no turning point and it was irreversible. Merriel had warned him that he would be torn to pieces by magic.

Any adventure he experienced in the past had turned back and had remedies for any accidents. This time, he was a pure gambler with only life as a bargaining chip. His trump card - a ritual used by an evil warlock and transformed.

This may be the reason why he has a strange feeling. Anyone will feel even a little fear when he predicts death, but he has long been dead, so he is very calm and tells himself in his heart that failure of the ritual is not the worst ending, but perhaps another better ending.

But if it succeeds, the Forgotten One's future will fill the future and the whole world will tremble for him.

After stopping for a long time, he began to step into the center of the ritual magic circle. This short distance was almost what he had walked through in a trance, and memories of the past flew around in his mind like flies.

The first time I held a sword, the first time I fought, the first time I heard the news of the war...

He caught his disobedient cousin at the gambling table for the first time.

"Can you put your mind on other more meaningful things? If Uncle Jonathan knows you're actually gambling in a tavern, your butt will bloom in the next second."

"I know you won't tell him."

Another first time I saw her: a pretty figure entered his world. Aurelia came confidently, in front of him.

"I'm glad to meet you, Marshal Lothar. I brought greetings from Anastarien Sun Chaser and the Silver Moon Council." ...

The beautiful memories made him find a smile on his lips.

But those things belong to a person from the past. Only painful memories belong to him now. His smile disappeared. Salamani was also thrown to the ground by him. The sword was too heavy.

He whimpered his last whine before he died: "Aleria...forgive me."

There was another time. "Then give me a good time!" Several arrows shot through him, one of which belonged to Aurelia. The poking hole left by the arrow on him was like the sword wounds of Frost and sorrow, which brought him pain and made him extremely angry.

He wanted to know more than betrayal, why he couldn't take him away when he died twice?

Good memories comfort him, painful memories are filled with reality, and when they appear at the same time, Nathanos feels he is being torn. But there is a voice that is more convincing than all memories: "Who the hell did Nathanos Maris kill?"

Nathanos stopped and had not moved for a long time.

"It doesn't matter anymore." He heard his voice. The trembling that penetrated his bones and surged through his whole body. He didn't realize that he had opened his mouth. But speaking the answer made him feel relaxed, as if he had taken off a heavy burden.

It doesn't matter anymore. Everything will either end or start over.

Focus Rainbow is right in front of you, placed in the center of five rune stones, waiting for him and some fundamental upcoming change.

The first drop of Terregosa's blood made the Focused Rainbow roar. Each drop of blood did not flow into the ground along the surface of the magic weapon, but merged into the magic weapon. The Focused Rainbow changed its color and suddenly opened. The scorching white light shot upwards and pierced the sky. In just a few seconds, a storm appeared around the light column. The dark clouds were rolled up, combined with the arcane energy, which brought a strange color to the storm, covering up the white light, and also covering up Nathanos standing in front of the Focused Rainbow.

...

"No!" When Caregus saw the white light, he realized that the focus rainbow was activated again. The thing he was most worried about was that someone was using powers they didn't understand at all.

Focusing on the Rainbow, that magic weapon never brought benefits to Azeroth, it only caused disaster. The colorful dragon Clomatus of the past has taught Caregus a lesson, and he is unwilling to see the same situation again.

The blue dragon slapped his wings hard and rushed towards the direction of the light column - the island. In time, he reminded himself that it was very close. The dragon's vision allowed him to see that the destination was a palace.

Suddenly a sense of powerlessness came, and his thinking and movements were stalemate. A small yellow sand floated by his naked eyes. Caregus was so familiar with this situation. He angrily blew out an ice breath, freezing the sand that took away his time. Then he shook and turned to face his opponent, a Twilight Dragon he knew.

"Stop, Blue Dragon."

Karegoth was shocked. Why is this guy here? He still stood in front of him and stopped him from approaching the Focus Rainbow. In an instant, Karegoth understood a lot of things, enough to make him stunned. There was some connection between Nathanos and Twilight Dragon.

"I know you, your name is Audroksion."

"Since you know me, leave immediately. The time spell just now was just a warning to you." Twilight Dragon's body was at least three times that of Caregus, and his threat was not only reflected in language.

"I'm not afraid of you," said Caregus. "Even if I die, I will stop Nathanos from using the Focus Rainbow."

"That depends on whether you have the ability."

Two dragons wrestled in the waters not far from Thunder Island.

...

"What is that?" Aurelia couldn't help but shout when she saw the white light. Just now, Jaina teleported them to the league's camp. Before they could yet share the joy of defeating Thor with others.

"That's the direction of the Throne of Thunder," said Sylvanas.

Every pair of eyes is staring there. Even people who don’t understand magic can feel a powerful and unimaginable magical energy gathering.

"Is it because we eliminated the consequences of the King of Thunder?" Jaina made a guess.

The Wind Walker sisters felt it made sense. Sylvanas was about to send someone back to find out. A scout ran over with a fallen head, his face full of horror. He knelt at Jaina's feet and said incomparably: "Madam! The undead, all the undead, in the jungle. We are surrounded."

Everyone gasped.

Jaina spoke in disbelief: "How could the Forgotten have fought side by side with us."

"It's true," the scout explained. "Our patrol team walked out of the alert area because of a mistake. They accidentally discovered that the Forsaken army blocked the main jungle and siege weapons."

Aurelia and Sylvanas looked at each other, and remembered what Veronara said in Mogu Garden, and said to Aurelia:

"We do things all by his will, especially after defeating the Lich King."

"Aren't you afraid, General? He is on this island, you know who I'm talking about."

The actions of the Forgotten are absolutely subject to the will of Nathanos.

The two female elves understood.

"It's Nathanos."

Sylvanas's voice made Aurelia tremble all over.

"He must have made the movement over there, and he didn't want us to get close, so the army surrounded us."

"That is to say, he started to act just as soon as we defeated Thor? What exactly is he going to do?" Jaina asked in confusion. Sylvanas did not answer, but she saw Aurelia's movement of legs.
